One of the cool things about this is that it looks like every time a state or city was mentioned they had someone with that area's accent sing it!
If you like Home Free, you may like Voice Play or The Bass Gang. The Bass Gang do some funny and cute videos as well.
I remember at the skating rink in the 90s requesting this song and the DJ getting annoyed 🤭🤭🤭😆
Home Free does their own recording of this. I think you would really like it. Enjoying your reactions a lot.
....hey friend, get ya self a RV and get ur butt over here....take the pledge...pay ur taxes....😅.,love God the Father...b an American....
....💫🌟💫✨✌️..
This was originally Lee Greenwood's song, recorded in the 1980s. He invited Home Free to do a new version with him.
As well as the USAF choral group "The Singing Sargeants"...
Lee still has it. I would say I hope I still have it then, but I never had it to begin with.
Probably Home Free had done this song earlier, filmed with Mt. Rushmore in the background. This one is much more moving.
Not only is the song so beautiful, but so is your open, warm heart. Source/God bless you, sir - infinitely.
We, as humanity, are indeed one - one with Source. Time & past time to set our differences aside as we come back together. 💞 😊
I thought Lee Greenwood wrote and recorded God Bless the USA in the 1960’s - 1970’s. It was during the war in Vietnam. ♥️🇺🇸♥️
This song has been a patriotic favorite in the US since Lee Greenwood released it in 1984. Lee, Home Free, and the military absolutely do this song justice in this version.
By the way, the ‘castle’ in Nashville is Lee Greenwood’s home.
I believe the castle shown is actually the location of Castle Recording Studios located in Nashville TN. Although Lee Greenwood does live in Nashville with his wife, his home is large and beautiful but not the castle shown. There is a video online of his home with a tour by him and his wife of their home. Just search for Lee Greenwood's home.
@@patriciab8876 you’re probably right. I tried looking it up and I think I like his house a lot better…😁
I cry every time I hear this song. Many veterans in my family and I truly am proud to be an American.
I had to sing this song in 5th grade it was right at time Berlin Wall came down and we sang this but todays people first thing they would say is why do they only say men and yes there been women who have died fighting for USA since start of country but it 99percent men who have died
Me, too! 🇺🇸
🫡❤️🇺🇸
Me too ❤❤❤❤
Im a first generation American. My mom's parents came here from Germany in 1898, my daddy's came in 1926. Daddy was 10. These songs make me very proud to be an American. My daddy fought in WWII in 2 of the bloodiest battles in North Africa and Italy . He owned 2 companies even though he left school after 8th grade. He was a master tool and die maker, master boilermaker.
That would make your Grandparents the first generation, as they were the ones who were foreign born.
Lee Greenwood wrote and preformed this song. Home Free and the soldiers preformed this with him
Minor correction; not to be a pain. Not "soldiers": That's Army. These are "Zoomies": Air Force!!! I'm retired Air Force, so had to say it. Fly High!
@@dwanemarsh4378Airmen, not Zoomies.
@@kitkat5339 Yes, I am aware they are called "Airmen", but "Zoomies" is the nickname given them. I should know, as I served in the Air Force for 20 YEARS!
Air Force Airmen - Zoomies
Army Soldiers - Grunts
Navy Seamen - Squids
Marines - Jarheads
I am a Veteran and this song always brings a tear to my eye!
Thank you for your service 🇺🇸 from a Army sister, a Marine mom and grandmother ❤
Me as well my sister in arms!
HOOAH!

I have chills and tears every time I hear the song' Thank you for doing it and liking it.
Glad to know it's not just me that feels this. I grew up hearing it and it never fails to take my breath away!
Ugh i bawl like a baby everytime! Lol
Me too! It really stirs my heart it brings on tears! Especially now with all the conflicts going on between our borders!! Let’s stand together and protect America with all we have!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
If I’m correct, Home Free actually got all of these individuals together for this song. Lee Greenwood is the original singer of God Bless the USA, but Home Free has two members who live in Nashville, TN, where Lee Greenwood lives. Adam Chance lives in California , but he’s originally from Alabama, and the remaining two are from Minnesota. So three members are originally from the South with the remaining two from Minnesota. Home Free are a very patriotic vocal band who likes to collaborate with many different artists. They did this during COVID to bring the country together.
Correct❤❤🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@mimi-422 😊
I think it’s fantastic that you get emotional over such an emotional American song! I’m proud to be an American! Thank you for supporting us at this crazy time in our history!!!
At a veteran's reunion, I had the pleasure to meet Mr. Greenwood. He sang this song. We were all standing , holding hands arms raised while tears streaming down our faces. He is a very nice gentleman. It was an honor to shake his hand.
This version was premiered on July 3rd, 2020 during the pandemic, hence the reason portions were recorded in Los Angeles, Minneapolis, & Nashville. They had to record remotely then it was all mixed later.
Greenwood, Home Free and Airforce singing sergeants great combo
Lee Greenwood is a naturally born Canadian and came to the USA many years ago.
No he's not. He was born and raised in California. He redid a version of this song for Canada.
Lovely reaction, Lee Greenwood was in his 70s when this was recorded, still has an impressively powerful voice and range.
Video trivia: The girl who sings the line about Tennessee is from Tennessee. Tim Foust, who sings the line about Texas, is from Texas. Rob Lundquist is from Minnesota and sang that line. Adam Chance, who sings the line “from sea to shining sea” was born in Florida and now lives in California. The military group is The Singing Sargents from the Air Force. I’m not a flag waving patriot, but this song gets me every time! More Americans probably know the lyrics to this than know the Star Spangled Banner lyrics.
What lovely details! Thank you for sharing them.
This could easily be a second national anthem.
My favorite was the Detroit gal. If butter could sing, it would sound like her.
This chokes me up every single time I hear it. Whether it be the original with just Lee Greenwood or this one with Home Free and all the military people and Lee together.
Lee Greenwood wrote and sang this song decades ago. This version was collaborated with Home Free and a military choir. I don't know why the Fox News emblem was shown on this, it wasn't when originally released over a year ago. Your are right that political parties should not try to take credit for it. It is a beautiful patriotic song and should be enjoyed by all.
Fox News shared it, but neglected to mention that they nabbed it from Home Free's channel, choosing instead to promote the Airforce vocalists and the original songwriter. The reactor likely found it on Fox News' channel as opposed to Home Free's.
To Andre, great reaction! It's nice to know you appreciate just how special this "during Covid" video truly is. I've always loved Lee Greenwood's original version, but the Air Force Singing Sergeants and Home Free just brought the song to a whole new level, and Lee even said that he was finally able to "play around" (not his words, I'm paraphrasing) with how he sang it.
Your reaction is so very beautiful, priceless. Thank you for honoring our great country. Every day I thank God that I live in….The Land Of The Free, Because Of The Brave. I am so very proud to be an American, and so very thankful and blessed that I was fortunate enough to be born here. I am so very proud of the 14 Veterans in my family. My Dad, husband, son, brother, uncles and cousins. 24 hours a day, every day of the year, I fly two large American flags. One on my patio, one on my front porch. At night I have lights shining on them that illuminate their beauty, and what they stand for. Blessings and Love from the USA 🙏🇺🇸
Lee released this song in 1984. It's been an "anthem" so to speak for Americans. Technology is amazing!!! As a veteran, I love this song, and am so proud of where I came from!!!
If I’m correct, Home Free got all of these people together to sing this song. Lee Greenwood is the original singer of God Bless the USA. However, Home Free loves this version and collaborated with Lee Greenwood and the US Airforce Band to sing this song during COVID to bring the country together. Two members of Home Free live in Nashville, TN. Another, Adam Chance, lives in LA. And the remaining two live in Minnesota. I think they all did an excellent job!
This is SOOOOO beautiful. I could listen to it over and over and over and over and over . . . ❤❤❤❤
The man who is often described as the invisible 6th member of Home Free is also in the video, their producer Darren Rust is the man with the gray hair in the control booth who mixes all of their songs. You will occasionally see him in other videos.
As an American of Portuguese/Spanish ancestry.... I'm proud to be an American! Thank you for appreciating the best of our country! 🙏🏼
Yes, if you got the link from a different channel, this was a Home Free and Lee Greenwood version of the song featuring the U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants. It should also be on Home Free 's CZcams channel.
I love the USAF Singing Sergeants!
Proud Mother, Sister, Daughter & Wife of US military veterans. 1 nephew currently serving.
This is a collaboration between Home Free Lee Greenwood wrote the song and United States Air Force band! Some say this is America’s second national anthem!! This is done when they were still in isolation during Covid and filmed in different locations! Humphrey filmed this several years ago at Mount Rushmore in the United States by themselves… It was very powerful! Getting to see with Lee Greenwood was very special! He was about 78 when he sang this! It’s very interesting and Rob sings from the lakes of Minnesota… That is where he is from, and from Texas is Tim Foust! Home Fries producer arrange this song… We felt he had more room to add the lyric PLEASE BLESS THE USA! At the very end if you listen beatbox or Adam Rupp as a sound of jets flying over!! Humphrey has also song several patriotic songs… Land of the free”…”My country ‘tis of thee”. &. “Only in America!!
I enjoyed your reaction sir, especially as someone who served my country's military long ago. I love that you loved this so much, and that you love us a little bit too. We need all we can get.
Thank you for your service!
@leighmoorehead4856 - It was my privilege ❤️
Love the original song. This is the first time I've heard this version, but it brings tears to my eyes everytime.
When my son graduated from Army basic training, this was the song (originally sung by Lee Greenwood) the graduates sang as they were lining the walkways and entering the stage. That graduation ceremony had over 100 men and women graduating. The sound of them all singing and marching was the most incredible sound I have ever heard!
Lee Greenwood (first singer) wrote the song and made it a hit in the 80’s. They are doing this during Covid with the US Air Force Singing Sergeants and Home Free. Home Free did a version earlier without Lee Greenwood or the band and they did it at Mt. Rushmore in S. Dakota. This is great! Lee still sounds great at 75! Love it! 🤩😄
Thank you for playing this song, I cry every time I hear it. My Uncle volunteered to served in the Army in the Vietnam war, the tragic stories and loss of many good friends …. there are no words. My Dad also volunteered to served in the Military, and after an honorable discharged he volunteered again to serve in the reserves, my Brother, his son, as well as my cousin all volunteered to serve in the military. This is my country…..this is my flag…..my respect, and my love is unshakable, just as is my gratitude and respect for those who not only served, but paid the ultimate price as well.
I'm a country girl too, but I think they want you to react to some good old rock and roll! There is some of it that is so good you won't believe it! Loved your reaction once again!
This is one of the most cherished songs in America since it came out in the 80’s
When i was at basic training in the Air force, this was played sometimes when we went to sleep
Thats amazing!
@@andrereacts7 Andre comrade imagine if there was a Russian song version to this for your country saying, I am proud to be Russian
@andrereacts7 Andre, imagine if your Country Mother Russia was signing this song in Russian singing, I am proud to be a Russian, where I know at least I'm free. For all the men who gave their life who gave that right for me and so on. This would be a great Russian anthem.
@@tommysaroda4446he’s not Russian. He’s Portuguese.
@@LindaAntonia1 oh my bad. My mistake
My dad used to sing this song 😍 He was in a gospel quartet. This week will be 32 years since I lost him. I was only 11. Thanks for the memory 😊
I am also proud to be an American. Thank you so much for your appreciation.
the first singer wrote the song the remaining singers are US Soldiers from HOME FREE.... it is amazing with him alone and with this group... speaks to everyone
Every year we have a county fair. There's music and fried food and 4-H animal judging and a carnival. Thousands of people are there. When this song comes on, usually before the fireworks, everyone stops what they're doing and sings. Everyone knows every word. It's fantastic.
Andre, I'm so happy you reacted to this song. I love this version! Lee Greenwood originally wrote and recorded this song in 1984. He invited Home Free to collaborate with him on this version in 2020 . . all recorded from multiple locations during quarantine. Lee is 81 now and he can still bring it! Adam Rupp (the beat boxer) also did the "jet flyover" sound at the very end.
Have loved this song from the day Lee Greenwood released it. Not only is it incredibly patriotic it is also incredibly beautiful. This version is amazing. Home Free is the best.
This is your channel. Following your own instincts and doing what you like usually results in the best outcome. Thanks for reacting to this outstanding combo performance. 👍👍
Agreed
I am 52yrs old and I am a Desert Shield Desert Storm vet and when this song plays, no matter what version my mom and i have to pull over in the car. I turned 19 on my way over scared and death, and my mom was at home equally as scared, but this song "all versions " will stand the tests of time!
Heart grabbing song. The collaboration of so many people is amazing.🇺🇸🇺🇸❤❤
Our flags hang on our homes to show our gratitude to those who have served & to those who gave all.
This is one of the greatest songs ever. I was born and raised military.
My oldest daughter learned this song for choir. She sang like an angel. Actually have him singing the original song. God Bless the USA 🇺🇸
This song always makes me proud to be an American ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
This is a bunch of soldiers all singing the song from different military towns across the United States. All their voices were combined into one rendition of the song by Lee Greenwood. This song was extremely powerful for me after 9/11. It still brings me to tears, feeling those same feelings from 9/11 again.
The soldiers are from the US Air Force Band. They have an amazing youtube channel and you should take a look at that. Both the instrumental and vocals are amazing.
This was during lockdown. They recorded in several places and then they sent it to be mixed and mastered to Darren Rust to put it all together. Home agree did a lot of recording from their individual homes and put out new songs every other Friday to keep everybody’s spirits up! Don’t know what I would have down without all this beautiful music they put out. They are awesome people and wonderfully gifted artists!
Lee Greenwood wrote this song many years ago. This song has become a very popular song to show our love for our country! Gives me chills every time I hear it. Love hearing Adam’s Jet sounds at the end of the song!
Lee is 77 and still sounds marvelous
This song has been held deep in my heart since I was a child singing it in a 4th of July pageant. Lovely version!!
I love our country and even through any political turmoil we go through - we ALL stand as Americans no matter what and you better not mess with us! GOD BLESS THE USA!
Actually have never heard Lee Greenwood throw down like that. 🔥🔥🔥
Always will love what Home Free does, they're a country/gospel acapella group, and they helped set all of this up
Thank you to all who have sacrificed and continue to sacrifice for our freedoms! I salute you! God bless you all.
Lees original version was emotional enough and then they redo it with soldiers singing too. I’m so very proud to be an American every day of my
Life!
Yes, acapella with Home Free. Two Home Free members live in Minneapolis, one in Los Angeles, Two plus Lee Greenwood live in Nashville. The most beautiful rendition of Lee Greenwood’s song ever.
My other favorite home free song is "How great thou art"
We in the USA, are in serious turmoil, and this song still makes me cry every time I hear it. I subscribed today!
My son was or is a UNITED STATES MARINE. WHEN HE GRADUATED FROM BOOT CAMP. HE WAS AND TRAINED TO BE STRONG. HE SAID HE MADE IT THRU OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM ..BUT WHEN THIS SONG CAME ON THE FIELD DURING GRADUATION HIS HEART FILLED WITH PRIDE AS HIS EYES FILLED WITH TEARS. HE WAS SOON DEPLOYED IRAQ FOR 2 TOURS AND THEN AFGHANISTAN. WE LOVE OUR COUNTRY..GOD BLESS THE USA
THANK YOU FOR UR GREAT REACTION
This is indeed a beautiful rendition of Lee Greenwood's beautiful son of 'God Bless the USA' it is amazing. I appreciate your reaction video. Peace. ☮
As an American this is how I feel about my country. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. I will fight for that till I die. Proud patriot.
In elementary school, my principal used to play the original version of this song over the school intercom. I always teared up.
Makes me so proud and cry every time.
I love this song! They played during the ceremony when I became a U.S. Citizen. It's very emotional for me!!!
Congratulations on becoming a citizen! 🇺🇸☝️
@@dianejacobs4384 Thank you so much!! That was in 2007, but still today I get very emotional 😭♥️♥️🇺🇲

My husband was a veteran and he passed away a year ago. He was so proud to have served his country and loved America. He also loved this song
Andre, you keep stating how much you love listening to Rob sing.....he is the big teddy bear Home Free. You have to check out his video where he and Austin (the red head Home Free singer) and he does opera Nessun Dorma. You will come un-hinged at the beauty of his voice. Simply search Home Free Nessun Dorma and you will find the video. You owe it to yourself to watch and listen to it.
If you like Home Free you would probably also love PENTATONIX a phenomenal a cappella group. “Hallelujah” and “ Sound of Silence” are 2 favorites.
Also, there’s some rap that might surprise you.
Thank you! Because of your great response to this song, I suggest you view Trace Adkins on the CMAs (Country Music Awards) with West Point Glee Club singing Til the Last Shots Fired. As Lt. Andrew Kinard states, the song is not about the war, but about the warrior.

Lee Greenwood is not a veteran, BUT he does a lot of charitable work for veterans including building them homes if they otherwise cannot afford it... And this song became so very much more popular when 9/11 happened... There were even people rolling down their car windows to sing it as they were driving up and down the highways!! It was our way of saying "We got knocked down but we are NOT out!!"
This is why 90% of us are at home in our pj's eating while sitting on the couch watching the game. Most of our teams aren't playing, so we aren't supporting any team. It's Super Bowl Sunday - bu
As an American, born and raised, this song never fails to make me cry with pride. The ones that came before us, sacrifice, may leave a garden they may never see grow. That is why we hold the flag in such high regard, even to not let it touch the ground. Many died for our freedom, so we may sleep peacefully at night, and live our dreams. Never forget those that died to give us this right.
Your reactions are genuine and uplifting, my friend, and very much appreciated. I love that you've begun with country genre and Home Free (who do many styles). It would be interesting to see you venture into Elvis. I grew up with his music but had no awareness of a song from his '68 come back special entitled' If I Can Dream' until a few years ago. Perhaps it will move you as it did for me. It speaks eloquently to racial divide that impacted the US for so many years.
I love that Lee redid this song with American soldiers. INCREDIBLE!
I just found your channel! I love your reactions! All the American love from Pennsylvania, USA 🇺🇸
I’ve heard this song hundreds of times and I still feel emotional Every time I hear it.
It’s always touching when the song is covered by other artists and Every Time that “Stand Up” is sung many in the Audience will Stand! 🇺🇸
You feel and are drawn to the American Patriotism in music. I want to say that in a way, our military is also part of your military. The US supports their allies and will be there shoulder to shoulder with your soldiers if you are facing aggression. It is a very real thing that the US is the reason many smaller countries remain free in their own country. My family immigrated to the US from Denmark. The Danes actually celebtate the 4th of July, American Independence day. They know that they could never stand up to countries like Russia or even Germany in WW2 without the United States. I am so glad that there are people around the world starting to understand Americans and who we are. We are welcoming people and we truly love our country and what it stands for. Forget the current squabbling amoung our politicians. Frankly, we need a bit of house cleaning there and have age requirements for all parts of the government. Enough of the politics. They change every 4 years. What doesn't change is our love and pride for and of our country.
Yes, you got it! This is Home Free's lockdown production of Lee Greenwood's original iconic song. The title of the video is not quite correct. The military chorus is fantastic, too! The glimpse of the producer in the Minneapolis studio is of Darren Rust, Home Free's "6th member". Greenwood's voice is just as great as when he recorded this years ago. Home Free also has another video of this, without the collaborations. It's doubly amazing when you realize that the only "orchestra" is HF, and the only drums are Adam Rupp. I consider it a second national anthem, and a much better melody. Great reaction! You should give the credits to Home Free and Lee Greenwood.
I recommend you do Home Free's original "Land of the Free".
❤❤
I have a hard time giving any degree of credit to Fox, but this presentation gets an exception. Beautiful, and quite true for any American.
God bless America. I love this land. I have family members who are veterans and I am a widow of a Marine.
" You don't have to be right or left to enjoy this. This is just love for the country." ❤ You said it, man. Something people too often forget. For too many, the need to be right comes before the need to preserve our freedom.
Lee Greenwood originally sung this song by himself, this is one of our songs Americans know by heart. Being from the USA we honor are soldiers. Thank You for listening to one of are patriotic songs. A grandma from Kansas !!
Lee did it originally, I don't care who got who to get it, om just glad they got our Air Force folks to sing with them! It shows our Armed Forces singing with Patriotic Civilians ! In '87 when I was in bootcamp, they played this song at Church. We sang along and I got choked up every time. It made me realize how BLESSED BY GOD we are to be Americans.
You have such a beautiful soul sir. Thank you for your kindness towards my country. God bless you from Texas ❤
Listen to Lee Greenwood singing this himself. Absolutely beautiful.
Every country needs a song from the heart of its people!!! ❤❤❤
That YOU get emotional over a song about the USA is AWESOME!!!! You get it!!! Thank you!!!!
"You don't have to be right or left to enjoy this..." Amen!!!
Lee Greenwood is the original artist, who released this song back in 1984. Of course you know who Home Free is and they've done a lot of this type of thing where they pair up with the original artists and do a revised version. This "cover" of the song was done during COVID and hence the multiple locations. Since this was being released for our 4th of July, they wanted to include the Air Force singers to make it extra special
Home free wanted to record Lee Greenwood God Bless the USA ., and they military are the singing sergeants from Air Force .. home free likes to record with other artists on their old recorded songs
Brings me to tears every time I hear it.
Saw a video the other day from a Women's softball game. The announcer said they wouldn't be performing the National Anthem. Then said "Play Ball!" Before the players could take the field, all the people in the stands stood and began singing. Honestly made me tear up. God Bless the USA.
Lee Greenwood wrote and recorded this in 1984. Yes, this is Home Free singing with Lee Greenwood and the Air Force band. Wonderful rendition.
I think the military members are the US Air Force's Singing Sergeants.
When I was a high school student and college student we would travel with our church youth choir to Camp Pendleton and the Naval Training Center in San Diego to do concerts for the troops church services and out in the field. At NTC they would end the service singing this song, and I will never forget seeing the 2000 naval recruits putting their arms around each others shoulders and singing this with the Lee Greenwood recording. I think of it every time I hear this song, and am so grateful for our troops and our country.
Back in the mid 1980s, my husband and I lived in Nashville. There was an amusement (aka theme) park there called Opryland USA dedicated to country music. There were shows and rides there (so much fun). One of the shows always included Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA song”, and every time that song was sang, all the audience would automatically stand up to listen to it and cross their hand over their heart. Such a nice patriotic feeling!!
Mr.Greenwood sounds so good singing lead in this song. Years ago, there were times i heard he was playing a concert nearby, but i never went to one. I clearly missed a great opportunity.
This is such an amazing song. Lee Greenwood asked Home Free and the military singers to do this together. So very awesome! Love your reaction! ♥
