Another amazing day in Japan! Today, we get a late start to the day, but for good reason. The weather was absolutely terrible, so i got some work done and prepared for a long night ahead. We started out exploring APIT Autobacs to get some car goods. it's basically walmart for car guys! Afterwards, we had dinner with the whole top rank crew and fueled up for our late night. We ended up at a secret underground car meet in the heart of tokyo, which was awesome. unfortunately, we didnt make it in time to get in. To finish everything out, we had an awesome shoot in downtown tokyo with our good friend kaita! We got the evo right under the rainbow bridge. it was absolutely epic!

The thing I've always liked about Dustin is when he visits Japan he always respectful, follows the laws and appreciates the customs, unlike a certain other foreigner in Japan youtuber ( insert my Japanese wife...) who was recently recorded after TAS playing chicken with paytoll gate arms and ramming right through them.

RIP Super Autobacs SoCal. There used to be one in Orange County in the early to mid 2000's. They had D1GP cars lined up out front. I also remember going to so many car meets there.

Damn I remember when we had an Autobacs in California. Definitely upset I never made time to go check it before they closed it.
I just had my first trip to Japan (first time out of the US since 2000), and I was at APIT Autobacs just a few days before this! I've been driving an 8th gen Civic LX since 2007, but I bought a shift knob there for my future FL5.

Ending time lapse shot of you driving back home on the C1 loop was SO SICK! Anyone who's played Wangan Midnight or Tokyo Xtreme Racer knows those roads! Still crazy you left the area that late, it's like an hour drive out of Tokyo to get back to Tsukuba!

Japan car culture is really top notch. No horrible underglow and autozone mods. Every single person seems to be extremely passionate about each build. Superior quality. Love it Dut!

There used to be a Super Autobacs in Stanton, CA. I wish it would've stuck around, but there just wasn't a big market in the US for it at the time and it was more niche parts than practical parts and maintenance supplies like the stores in Japan. Also it was a bit overpriced.
