- Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #611
Date of adventure: 2/19/22
Poking around an abandoned hideout in the desert, where someone left behind two trailers and two busted cars of a more recent vintage. Join me as I analyze the wreckage for clues as to who lived here, and why they were hiding way out here in this lonely corner of the Mojave Desert. Was it meth? Outstanding warrants? The Great Recession?? Let's indulge in some wild speculation!

wonder hussy, wonderhussie, wonder hussie, wonder hussey, wonderhussey
One of these days she's going to come across a body. Some people actually think if they leave their property out in the desert that nobody is going to damage it. The owners didn't do that damage. Vandals did.
I thought for sure she was going to open that refrigerator that someone had painted RIP on recently (another video) and there was going to be a body inside. I seriously breathed a sigh of relief when there wasn't. Gotta' say she's got some brass balls, some of the places she goes into. Luv you, Sarah!
Every time you pick something up I'm always concerned that you'll disturb a scorpion or a snake.....I hold my breath through most of your videos.....be mindful! Sending love.
It’s weird that people can abandon a site and leave their library, crock pot, shoes, toothpaste and so much else behind. We’ve seen this time after time.
I LEFT AN ENTIRE APARTMENT BEHIND ONCE = SOFA, SOFA CHAIR, TV, BED, POTS & PANS AND ALL KINDS OF COOKING WARE ~ I WAS DONE WITH IT....ZERO REGRETS & IT WAS THE START OF WHAT WAS TO BE MY LIFE AS I KNOW IT TODAY.
I get dumping books, most books are not worth twice a read. a cheap ass crockpot nahh, toothpaste naah, old shoes nahhh, it's mostly junk or unwanted items left. the good stuff goes first either by the owner, or first served.
@@nuclearskull was the apartment a "nuclear accident" ? :D
When you see a giant pile of pack rat nest like that they're absolutely are a lot of rattlesnakes there.... The cowboy boots are a tip off because tall cowboy boots like that are a way of keeping most rattlesnake strikes from hitting your flesh....
You'll notice that they're pretty thick leather
@@donaldconnolly220 OH DO GO ON...DONT STOP THERE TELL US MORE....SERIOUSLY
In Houston about 30 yrs ago we had bowling pin matches. You take 45 auto and shoot down six bowling pins as fast as you can, fun times.
I think the fact that it was Tom's toothpaste rather than a major commercial brand is an important clue. And these folks were pro- wild life.
I just imagined Huell Howser walking up to this "Breaking Bad" scene asking "Howdy Fellas! I see you are using the one pot method...THAT'S AMAZING!!!"
Hey look at this louie.
The stomping of the toothpaste was THE BEST!!! :)
Although a guy would've put a world of hurt into that first stomp, ha ha ha.
Writing this while listening to "The Power of Love". Hussy is so good!
I love the theme song because I know I am going to smile or laugh because Sarah brightens my day.Who can't use that especially nowadays!!😊
Well said Dave C! Lovin OUR Wonderhussy!! Sarah Jane, you mentioned your mom and dad and his not being the responsible one. Well. I, for one, am so glad that they got together and created their kids because you guys are surely good people. You and your sis are totally amazing. Lovin you for all the joy you bring us and the fun of it all. J
lol, some dads lazy
These places always reminds me of the movie Raising Arizona
The toothpaste mixer and blaster. That was so funny. Love the stories you make up as on how people may have lived. Creation at it's best with Sarah.
that story is a reminder to remember that as you go through life , what is remembered are the pebbles, not the stream
The imagination of wonder. Always an experience. Thanks for the walk along wonder.
It's Wonder hussy day!!!
The Movie "Tigerland" - A group of recruits go through Advanced Infantry Training at Fort Polk, Louisiana's infamous Tigerland, last stop before Vietnam for tens of thousands of young men in 1971.
Yes you got that 100% right. But the movie was not made there.
17:33 love that sense of humor.
Picking up stuff at random like that is a surefire recipe for stumbling into a 🦂 Scorpion!!!!🤪😳!!!!
I know wonderhussy has a vivid imagination, but this story about a construction worker and the Great Recession actually seems pretty plausible.👍
Just a junkyard that needs to be cleaned up. “Blackhawk Down “. Newspaper 👍🏻
It was a fun morning visiting the abandoned sites with you and listening to your narratives. Keep-up the great vlogs. Looking forward to the next production. Stay safe and awesome! 🧧🤙
I can’t believe you opened the oven door- very brave of you
Hiya Sara ! That was a rat nest in that oven 😉I look forward to your vids. Thank You.....nice to get to go to the desert!! Love ir! Been through the Mojave a couple time many years ago ....gonna sell my house n become a Nomad. Hopefully sooner than later! My goal! Cheers!
Thank You for the fun😛 I really enjoy your story telling, it was nice to hear about your dad and mom and sister🌿
Love your vids Wonder lady! You are f-in amazing! 😜👍👍
Hello from Las Vegas/Albuquerque!
The Honda Passport was the sibling of the Isuzu Rodeo. And that Explorer is around 05/06/07 I think.
They say 90% of Ford's from that year to current date are still on the road!
The other 10% made it home!!!!!!!
Both horrible vehicles. The correct name for the ford was exploader
You are running around in my favorite part of the world. I know people don't get it, but there is so much beauty and peace in the desert. Spent so much time east of Barstow, with Cima Road and the New York/Providence Mountains being my favorite hangout. Haven't been there in years but think of it often. Enjoy your adventures!
i went up to Teutonia Peak off of Cima Rd and it was peaceful and windy
@@videoluvr4204 - Perfect word, "peaceful". My first trip to that area was 1975, it has been in my soul ever since. My dad and I camped out sleeping in the back of a Datsun pickup.
I've sat on a mountain peek watching a deer run for over a mile there. Few other places offer that experience.
Thank you for that!
@@thebiggianthead8364 i only went once but found a rusty 1940 dated
california truck license plate when i was there...it was so cool
What a vivid imagination and story telling skills.
I bet if the stove was cleaned it would still work. My Aunts still works in her 70s trailer
As usual I had to watch twice and it's taken me all day to see this video and the other. Cool story telling, having been in the RV Business I love the old trailers, if I had the time I would overhaul something like that. Most of the questions you had have already been answered by your sharp commenters. Cool explore Sarah. 👍❤🇺🇸
Would sure be awesome if you could explore the "red dog mine" and "Indian queen" surroundings...remember April Pitzer? Her body still has not been found despite alot her belongings found scattered around Ludlow, Ca...LOVE your explores, might be safer to bring Eric with you
Love me some Wonderhussy!! You're funny as hell!!
thanks for the vid love your adventures stay safe
I continuously cringe when you touch all the ban donned stuff you find... and also, aren't you afraid of snakes under the things you move around? Brave lady!
Love your storytelling.
Thanks for the tour and story! Weird place for a crock pot..
Recently stayed in vacation rental with Peacock channel and got to binge three seasons of Yellowstone . I was captivated by the character Rip portrayed by the gorgeous Cole Hauser. Researched hie acting credits and he was in…..TIGERLAND!!!! What a coincidence! Or was it????
csi tip. look at the taillights or head lights or overhead lights that are molded into the lens. It will get you within a year of the vehicle.
I've actually read the "Kitty" series books. They're mildly entertaining (I used to commute on the bus to work).
FYI: There is usually a plate on the driver's door that will denote the year of a vehicle. Thanks for the video!
Enjoyed as usual. I ran across your channel about three months ago. I've been a fan since. Thanks Sarah.✌❤
Love the way you tell the story that needed to be told…….too funny W H
This is the kind of place you would find a hidden package and an easter egg in a Grand Theft Auto game.
Dave Barry's first job out of college was at the newspaper in my town. Even then, his columns were must reading.
I miss those days. I always read his columns
Always interesting videos! Maybe you could get a new bushing off one of those old wrecks in the desert. Oh well, keep on rolling. 😎
Holy wow, your forensic skills are 👏 🙀 😯
Miss Wonderhussy , When you stomped on that tube i had flash backs and the chills. Any way enough about me , thanks for another great video
A shock bushing is usually polyurethane or Rubber. Rarely does it make the vehicle undriveable. Really bumpy roads may cause a rattle but doubtful anything serious. Be sure they are not just joyriding. Its been a month or more!
There is a world shock bushing shortage due to Covid. Please be patient
@@ezr168 That's a crock of BS. Many aftermarket bushings will work or machined to work.
Over rated aftermarket shocks on that rig.
@@gordbaker896 I totally agree twas just a bit of sarcasm. Cheers
Well Sarah I always love your videos!! Your funny and you show us all the good junk!!❤✌
Your Dad story is so cool......LOL......as was the Toothpaste section as well as the reference.
I'm not saying The Hills have Eyes, but The Hills Have Eyes!
My thought exactly
An artist takes a blink canvas and creates a story! Wonderhussy takes a pile of junk in the desert and creates art! Shows how harsh the desert can be, she reclaims man's trash, in short time. Can someone tell me the phone number for the toothpaste police? I witnessed the crime of the century, the murder of a tube of innocent toothpaste, o the horror! thank you ALL stay safe
A blink canvas……hahaha!
@@irvingr.fatback886 SORRY MY SPILLING NOT GOOD AFTER STROCK
@@irvingr.fatback886 Thank you for pointing out my spelling error. Some correct others to educate, some to make them self feel superior. which are you ? please stay safe
Nice of your friend to haul you out to wistful vistas to do your exploring thing. 0:35 You've spoken before of your favorite mechanic that works on your 4-Runner, but have you ever tried taking your rig to a Toyota dealership? They might be able to get your outfit into their shop quicker and out sooner as well. Don't know about the price comparisons, though. We've had maintenance-type work done on our Fords at a local mechanic's shop and at the Ford dealerships and haven't noticed much difference at all in the costs. They all use the standard shop-rate books and markups on parts. 2:19 Amazon catalogues several of the "Kitty" novels, including the one you found. All in all, nice video. Stay safe out there.
Wild storyline SJ
I love your videos wonderhussy you make the earth feel like a wonderful place.
Maybe it was Ma and Pa's RV base camp and they got old and had to move to town to be close to the doctor. That seems to be happening a lot lately!
Be careful Sarah that place looks the Hills have eyes place lol 😆 I can’t wait to see your next adventure. You’re an amazing, beautiful lady sending you lots of love ❤️ from Arizona ❤️🥰🌹😍
Maybe those blank VHS were copies of Pam & Tommy's famous honeymoon 😃
Holy yikers...that trailer is a mess!! Good luck Huss!!
Clink 🍻
Probably stolen vehicles involved in unsavory activities.
My crockpot innards just cracked, I need that!
Well done Sara!
Some people eschew shoes, but you'd have to be awfully tough to do so in that environment.
Sarah, a good way to tell the year of a car is to look on the tail light lense. The year of manufacture is is usually molded in.
Hello from Colorado
Hello from Westcliff, Co
That larger trailer would have been pretty decent. Like you, I've used Tom's of Maine for years. Small world.
I wish I lived near you so we could go explore together ❤️. Have fun!! Be safe. The rattlesnakes are coming out. Eeeks!!
I love the Mojave desert there is so much random ass stuff out there
Here comes another investigation and with it an amazing story to explain what the heck happened. Just Wonderhussyful.
Strange place to camp.
A full QUARTER of the run-time of this video was dedicated to the old tube of toothpaste -THIS is why I'm a loyal subscriber.
Oh oh. now I'm going to have to report you to the toothpaste police 😃 Thanks for another fun adventure.
Pretty funny how much you focused on the possible meth labs. Lol cool your out and about exploring! Forestry forest mentioned you in a recent video. 😊
48th!! without a notification bell
Rumor has it that your utube take home is 6000.00 plus.
Hey, be careful with those artifacts. Don't just throw them down.
The Explorer was actually from about early to mid 2000s I had one just like it
Just want to let you know you give me the inspiration to get out & ramble with my dog.
No matter how you wear your hair it is still beautiful ❤️
Yep.shes a cutie.
Nice vid wh
Living way out in the desert seems like a good idea.🥵
Who remembers the movie the hills have eyes.that location looks perfect for another remake.
Someday the sand will overtake all. Until then, Huss will document the past.
everytime i see your videos i feel like heading to pahnrump nv and renting a jeep at death valley np to really go in to trails there . from tombstone az .

1998 - 2002 2nd Gen (CK58/CM58/DM58)
1994 - 1997 1st Gen (C58)
That is pretty funny, you found an article on Garth Brooks, I believe that was the last article actually written on him. lol
Is it Wednesday already? Awesome 👍
That's a great book.
Wow wee, that book you found was the collectors edition...🤪
Love video. Toothpaste grossed me out 🤣😂🤣 trailer outside on government land....just like "Cousin Eddie" 🤣😂🤣
Well.......so far, most of your journeys I've seen indicates that the desert needs to be cleaned up from all that abandoned junk. A flat bed semi truck with a roll off container and a crane should do it.
Your friend wondering gypsy's channel is pretty cool...
Keep the adventures going . Thanks !!
SHARING is caring FOLLOW n SUPPORT this BEAUTIFUL BROADCAST tyvm she's amazing!!
Likes matter .!!!!!
Look on the driver side "B" pillar for the years of MFG.
My mom used lsd back in the seventeies and it was like she was on crack forever and now has to be on meds for mental illness her brother too. . Glad your not that bad off, take the communion with someone who can pray for you , it helped a friend to sleep through the night in seven years.
Take her to organic world for 7 days. Put all the colors of veggies, except corn and peas, into a 1/2 gal blender and have her drink a gal a day. That's it, the body wants to heal itself; another is the cure for alzheimer's is eating strict keto, surprise! Never give her sugar or starch food.
I don't know about anyone else, but I want to read that book.
Not sure "Bobcat Stew" is a thing to eat, maybe a cougar or two..... ;)
Have a great day....
You are Miss Conjecture. 😀
Imagination gone wild! LOL
When the world didn't end, they quickly abandoned their little camp ground.
Thats what I like about the desert there, you can just pull off and live cheap for a while.
Buch of war movies. Somebody had a fascination....
Yeah...I think there are still bowling pin shooting events these days. It takes a good shot and a pretty hot pistol caliber...because they have to be knocked clear off the table. Looks like an oven full of couch/chair cushion junk. Desert rodents like that stuff as bedding. Clinton knew how to lead women in under his desk. But I understand a little...after learning who Hillary is. Well, the toothpaste is out of the tube now!(8-) Is there anything from Tom Robbins in there? I still haven't read Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas. Ummmm...I suspect Eric is going to enjoy this video as
much as the rest of us...but it was really cool of him to show you these places. KUDOS, ERIC!(8-) Thanks a heap, Sarah Jane. Love you, Darlin'.
When my brother and sister were kids. We use to do the same thing. We would find an old house and just walk around and wonder what it was like and who lived there.
Good gravy Sarah, I hope you are up on all your shots. Yikes!
And carrying a bite/sting first aid kit. One day an angry scorpion or widow will ATTACK, ha ha ha. One day I hit an innocent looking bush next to a building in Reno, NV in mid summer and suddenly I had 50-100 black widows everywhere on the ground; I looked around me, surprise(!) none on me. What a trip, a good day. Never forget that emotional hit, like a drug.
This camp is connected to the first place you visited on this trip.
I hope when he left that desert oasis, he upgraded his housing!
