For those asking for measurements and how won, this was strictly a demonstration of STOL and operating in a safe manner for the show, not a competition. It was a ton of fun!

It is about seeing all the rudder, ails and action it takes to STOL. Awesome.
I a missing Jon Humbert and his 701 more and more. His steep climb outs were epic. Hope he is back soon. I love his flying and he is such damn lovely guy. Zenith.
Is Hal running one of those Chinese Rotax clone engines? They have that color on the valve covers.
Is this only for taildraggers? Where are the 701’s?

This was simply a STOL Demo at Oshkosh, so there were no competition numbers or measurements. It's simply done for the audience to show what STOL airplanes can do.
Really enjoyed the rock music!!! Do it again next video.
Did Hal Stockton cut his engine before landing?
Hal doesn't like static thrust, so he usually does it as he touches down.
He might be the first with pre-armed spoiles 😂 and a hook to cut a little trench instead of a tailskid😂

Totally understand! But when we film at 160fps we can't record audio unless it's done separately, and then it wouldn't line up with the video. The last 5 minutes of this video have audio, though, and are filmed at normal speed.
