  • How to install a Traxion Tailgate Ladder on a F250 or F350 for 1999 to 2007.
I show some options for the swing arms and the stow strap as well. They cost around $50.00 depending on where you buy it. You'll find them extremely helpful to easily get into your truck bed, especially if you have bad knees.
    Tools I used:
    - Center Punch.
    - Claw Hammer.
    - Black Marker Optional.
    - Electric Drill.
    - 9/64" Drill bit.
    - No. 2 Philips Tip.
    - 1/4 drive bit extender.
    - 3/16" Allen Wrench or a 5mm will do.
    - 10 mm Combination Wrench, Ratchet Type (Duwalt).
    - 4" Side Cutters, you can use a pocket knife or scissors.
I hope you found the video useful. If you did please take the time to give it a thumbs up. If you'd like to help my channel please subscribe. I do truck, van, car, and electronic videos as well as a few misc things like lawn equipment.

Thanks Keith great video, I was hesitant when I received the ladder, but after watching this I feel better about installing it.

Hey Timothy you're welcome bud. This is the 2nd best mod I've done on my truck. The best mod on, my truck 7.3L diesel, was installing a 14 Blade Turbo Wheel. That got rid of most of the Turbo Lag especially when it was cold. Thanks for watching. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

Some folks will put the pins on top at the hinge so the ladder can be removed easily in case you want to slide something over the tailgate. The bolts should go on the ladder portion in that case.

Pretty good Idea, I've slid things in before and if it's low enough I just flop it over the top of it, or leave it down and put the load on top of the ladder, but still not a bad idea. The ladder is the 3rd best mod I've done on the truck and it really helps. Thanks for the idea and watching. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

Pins go on the mounting plate so you can take the whole ladder off, not on the steps

Any particular reason why ladder install is on the driver's side?

Yep, most people drive on that side of the truck and don't want to walk around to the passenger side to get into the bed. You could put it on the other side if you wanted to just turn it upside down. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
