Finally someone recognizes people with fine hair that tangles so easily. People can never believe how easily and quickly my hair tangles, and believe me it is a pain to deal with sometimes.
I was really stressed out last year with a lot of family issues and we moved after living in one area for 63 years. Now you know how old I am lol. I am losing my hair in clumps I believe from stress. My hair is getting thinner and thinner. I’ve always cut my own hair I’ve only been in the hair salon about four times in my life . These videos help . My problem is getting my Hair even. And I wear my hair high on top . It’s hard to cut the back. You should do a video on DIY back of hair video on how to cut it yourself in the mirror. If you can . How yo hold it etc.

First, your wife is stunning she looked beautiful before and after. I wish I’d seen this a week ago I just cut my friends hair and this would have answered a big question …do I give her layers or just focus on the front…. Straight across the back with face framing layers in front was the answer . I’m not a hairdresser but ever since Covid I’ve learned an awful lot about cutting hair so I felt confident about cutting someone else’s hair. My young friend has very fine straight hair but her hair has been thinning to the point you can see her scalp I figured taking some of the weight off the ends would help and it did. As a side note her hair has become unusually oily by the end of every day ( yes she’s planning on seeing a doctor about it) . I followed your video, the one about one cut layering with the ponytail trick. After the reveal I realized the very straight layers in back was not the best way to go , it added nothing in terms of fullness for her. I did leave it long enough to trim the back to a nice blunt straight line and she’s thrilled with the outcome. That said, your video here was the way I should have gone especially because of her thinning hair! Thank you for these tutorials, whether it’s a DIY or a *bring to your stylist for a clear explanation*….you’ve been an enormous help to many of us out here in CZcams land. After Covid I don’t ever want to be caught again with no help for my hair. I myself am rockin’ a Shag haircut ,thanks to one of your tutorials ,it really suits my hair texture and my age and I’m thrilled with the outcome. Having an alternative if you can’t get to your hairdresser is a major game changer. ( sorry this is so long) :)

This was phenomenal! Thank you So, so much for pointing out how postpartum hair loss can truly impact our density. I had a lot of thinning in the same areas as your wife and have struggled with getting my layering correctly done in a way that doesn’t diminish the density of my fine and thin 2b-3a hair.
I’ve seen many DIY face framing layers, this seems different. You emphasize pulling the hair directly out then down, as opposed to over-directing. Would you be able to advise on any difference in your approach for someone with thin/fine wavy/curly hair?

Your wife is very beautiful. I have hair like hers, fine hair but a lot of it. After years of perms and haircolor it is sometimes wavy, sometimes straight. Menopause has also taken its toll. I love your videos especially the shag and wolf cuts. Can I still wear those kinds of styles???. I just turned 60!

But Jake, Please, why do You let Your own hair grow so much and would You consider to be brave enough to change direction and create a bigger trend for men, by shaving of the “look which covers“ and instead start to show Your face again? Why, You may think? Just because it will give You back 15 years in a moment and it would match Your youthful looking wife a lot more. Also, to make the opposite with the haircut, and start a New trend with a really short cut at the neck and let the curls show on top. If anyone can, You Can ! Yes, definitely KJ Jannat! Most important thing is to keep the end of your hair super straight/blunt. Avoid any texture.
