It’s something that’s been noticeable with any “live service” game. The older game will long have had all its patches and content updates to make it a polished, content rich product, and then the new one launches in its base form with none of that.
It’s simply an annoying trend of modern gaming, to the point where my suggestion is always to buy the previous game whenever a new CoD comes out.

I'll stand by the fact that CW's gameplay, at the end of its lifecycle, is better than MW19's at the end of its lifecycle. Maps spawns and audio design are everything. CW's maps definitively flow better, have better spawns, and there's better audio awareness. Effects might sound better in MW, animations might look better, but that doesn't make it more fun to get shot at from 2 billion angles when going anywhere, consistently spawn with me back facing an enemy camp-crouched behind me, or when half the lobby is sat in a corner with a claymore. I can run and gun in Cold War like a classic cod, and its a lot of fun.
i really do wish they gave this game more time. It could have had all of the flair mw has with none of the downsides. considering how rushed this game was, i'm suprised that it even compares to mw, which had 3.2x the development time.
Cold wars gunplay is ass tho. MW2019s is much better
@@mayonnaise3959 MW19's gunplay is great, and unlike a lot of people, I enjoy the ttk. I think for people like me, I don't think the gunplay is 'amazing' because it feels like it's mimicking something like insurgency sandstorm, so it's not as much of a dealmaker, but I also see why it would be a dealmaker for others. With that being said, part of me still enjoys CW's gunplay on the basis that it feels very BO1/BO2, and I love those games. It took cod back to that arcadey/casual-style shooter I grew to know and love one last time before the new engine took over. I love the new engine, but I don't think its fair to say CW's gunplay is ass, its just not quite as good.

I have some problems with some specific maps (mainly collateral god i hate that map), but overall I think this is such a good multiplayer. Grinding guns is fun and that's mainly what's gonna keep me hooked on a game, the progression.
Honestly the current state of this game is a miracle the fact that it have 1/3 of the development time than MW have and still is in a better shape is amazing

Think you nailed it man, "scheme" is the most apt term for what has become simply the way to do things :
Hype the game from 6 months out. Offer 3 different editions, which give no physical rewards, just in-game gear of varying quality. Release the beast - making sure the embargo is holding. Include limited number of maps and modes but hype hype hype upcoming content. Wait until after release to quietly slip allllll the microtransactions into the game. Basically spend the next few months finishing the game we already paid for, a slow arduous process of hot fixes, nerfs, buffs and the popular for-a-limited-time loot, but bring it back later for a price. Then sit about and think about what to buy with those juicy shares. The end.........until it's time to do it all again, for the 💰.
I think cold war deserves another visit since it has been greatly updated and tbh it has become a good game.

I’m so glad to see it’s becoming a better game. May pick it up for my birthday since black ops was my first cod experience and this game makes me feel so giddy with nostalgia
As of 2022 Cold War zombies has become my favorite iteration so far. Personally I like outbreak the most as it feels a bit less chaotic and you can get yourself some breathing room when you need it. And now that they’ve introduced the extra maps for it and the main Easter egg, it feels like you’re actually working towards something in the mode. Overall an 8/10 from me on just the outbreak mode.
I don’t even remember what the campaign cut scenes look like because they were frozen then super sped up 😂

I mean other than the new items and new skills everything else is ass. CZcamsrs even admit they wouldn’t be playing if it wasn’t for the fact they need money. Outbreak is just is just a bigger version of onslaught so I fail to see how that’s new when all they did was take old offsets and just threw it into another game mode and said it’s “new”. I’ll give the zombie devs for doing the most with what they had but won’t act like they did anything special considering it’d be content they already be released on day one but since there’s people dumb enough to prefer it be dribbled down to us in a slow slow pace. Both maps are so your favorite CZcams has to make challenges to actually enjoy himself.
Onslaught is PS4 exclusive (total bs btw) so other platforms might want a similar experience

They both look similar but the way they function is way different then you think.

I got the gold knife and can safely say im never doing another melee camo, it was fun but really tedious and they add more melee weapons than any one class of gun, it’s annoying

I think Cold War should last for 2 years, covid had an effect on production. The game seems like it can progress instead of buying a prototype for 60 dollars and finally getting the whole product after many months

My friend hates cold War because when he got it the game made his console break and stopped working for few days and when he did get it working he lost his save data to 80% percent of his games he was able to get his data back but he hasn't tried playing cold War since then
i went back to mw 2019 .... it's a complete game...so the best time to play cold war is next year

Skipped release time of Cold War because I was in army. When I came back I played it on season 4 and I really like it more than MW. Less new “tacticool” annoying features, no doors, save zones and normal progression with classical challenges with lot’s of calling cards to grind. I play with a big pleasure and I will play it when Vanguard and 2042 will release
Cold War is a decent game but it doesn't have much of an atmosphere and personally that's its biggest problem, two of the newest maps aren't even set in the 80's their set in the future and even the cosmetics aren't very... well Cold War, their all kinda goofy, treyarch has 50+ years of inspiration for cosmetics and they haven't given us a single historical or even Cold War esk skin.
Historical CoDs are a thing of the past. They censored WW2 and every game has to have red dot sights and wacky camos, regardless of the game's setting.
@@RuezgaDaniel it honestly breaks my heart, im hoping they'll atleast add in some throwback skins from Black Ops 1 so we get something resembling the Cold War, even with season 2 being heavily jungle themed I didnt spot a single Vietnam War skin, even the really good accurate ones used in the campaign. Its a shame honestly.
@@oceanman1697 We really have to look to indie developers for historically accurate games. Look up Rising Storm 2: Vietnam. It is really authentic but the graphics and overall production quality are hurt by their limited budget. The same devs are making a cold war game called 83. That would be worth looking up if you're on PC and are looking for an authentic Cold War game. Also, if you're on PC, you can get a key for Rising Storm 2 for less than $5 on cdkeys or ebay.
@@RuezgaDaniel Actually funnily enough bro I've been playing RS2 since launch, played it hard-core for years and have recently thought about getting back into now that I've got a new pc, and 83 looks amazing im hyped as for that game, I love the game play style of both games however I'm just kinda sad about Cod because I like that casual relaxing arcade shooter, I just also find it sad that they just don't care anymore, just because its an arcade shooter doesn't make historical accuracy invalid ya know?

My method for doing good in a match? Just focus on the weapon/skin you’re trying to unlock, and then you get in ”the zone.”
Also THANK YOU for mentioning the desire for a campaign DLC, the entirety of the Multipleyer and Warzone Storyline for Cold War should have been a campaign itself, not just little lore bits before and after a season
