    • @AH-tf1tm
      @AH-tf1tm Před 5 lety +12

I’m afraid that is untrue. His central thesis was that we did not require God, and what had been prescribed by religion because it was categorically false.
Well, you do not have God as a central component of as part of your societies. And as a result you have presided over the destruction of the family system. Now that gays are celebrated in popular culture, you can expect their population to rise in percentage terms over the coming decades. People are not getting married anymore, nobody fancies paying alimony. Divorce rates are sky high. People are now have kids as late as possible. And with women joining the workplace en mass you have had massive wage compression that has rendered a lot of men that would’ve made ends meet in the late 80s redundant. There is an epidemic of the fully grown unmarriable man child. In addition to new movements like MGTOW and Red Pill. This trend will also continue and it will be the death of Western society. And it is not altogether unprecedented, Japan is seeing this first hand.
Actually, things were much better when women were less promiscuous and working class men could raise a family of 5 on a single salary. Nobody can buy a house these days. The whole dynamic is falling apart. Women have not been this unhappy, since the 1950s. Which means the only time they were unhappier than they presently are was the decade during world war fucking two. And yet, it’s a fabulous time to be alive.food is cheap,!everyone has a toilet, we have google, WiFi on planes. It’s strange.
Something is amiss. In addition, it’s interesting how he had no hesitation in defending Rushdie! It would have been nice to have had some consistency.

Trotsky may have considered himself an "Orthodox Marxist" however, he furthered the theory adding his own ideas of an international permanent revolution which is more expansive and ambitious than those Marx and Engels wrote about. Someone who follows this specific, evolved form of Marxism is therefore called a Trotskyist.
I'm trying to make this as easy to follow as possible because, branding Hitchens or anyone who finds value in Trotskyism/Maoism (I mention Maoism just as another example of evolved Marxism) a Marxist is actually rather intellectually dishonest.

There was absolutely NOTHING, whatsoever sane or scholarly about Christopher Hitchens. He was just your typical, leftist, communist and Chewish antagonist, who did his best to destroy the western Christian civilization.
Let's take the start of his reply shall we? _"He's a member of a wacko, schismatic sect that rejects the authority of the pope and specifically rejects the findings of the second Vatican council."_ Any true Christian, sees the Vatican and their figurehead, the pope, precisely for what they are - anti Christian in every way possible. The Vatican BOWS to the very same 'council' responsible for the death of Jesus and that really says it all doesn't it? So, he immediately, hits an own goal right off of the bat.
Sadly, I am unable to go into a deep discussion on this because guaranteed, the second I hit 'reply' my comment would be deleted for using certain 'words' that would be caught by CZcams's, censor algorithms.
However, what I will simply say is this; when you get older and wiser through more and more reading do you begin to understand the importance and the significance, of precisely WHY the second Vatican council removed what Hitchen's speaks about. And in doing so, you understand precisely WHOM the Roman Catholic Church really is and all about. It's nothing more than the continuation of the Holy Roman Empire.

@@michaelfern4079 Well, for an avowed "Antitheist" who only discovered late in life that his mother was Jewish, this assertion presents something of a conundrum. It suggests that the power of these "Jewish genes" is more subtle and pervasive than previously imagined by anyone other than ratbag, white supremacist, conspiracy theorists. I mean, he did expend quite a bit of energy expressly condemning all of the Abrahamic religions. My head might explode if I think too hard on this.
After four years, I'm not about to revisit this interview, so am unsure which line in the bible you're referring to. But not to worry. "The bible", as we know it, has a very long history of lines (and very much larger chunks) being inserted and deleted, something well known to scholars of its history. Where else could you find four testimonies of supposed witnesses to someone's entire life, and find huge proportions of three of them to be verbatim copies?

--"Faith is the surrender of the mind, it's the surrender of reason, it's the surrender of the only thing that makes us different from other animals. It's our need to believe and to surrender our skepticism and our reason, our yearning to discard that and put all our trust or faith in someone or something, that is the sinister thing to me. ... Out of all the virtues, all the supposed virtues, faith must be the most overrated”-- Christopher Hitchens
Now, look at what biblical faith really means that Hitch the liar didn't even look at:
Biblically, faith means trust. It's a trust by evidence seen. God asks that we prove things. To reason. To get knowledge. To study. God has nothing to hide. We develop trust from what is seen, and that which is not seen yet is trusted also because of the trust built up from what is seen. It's much like a human relationship. We don't trust much until a person has gained that trust from what is observed. The difference is though, God is not limited to human powers. He created us.
Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Hitchens always went into evasive word antics to avoid key questions like how we got the creation of the universe.
Real science says nothing does nothing. Real science says if there was something there already it must fit with the evidence of what we know. We know the 1LT says there's a conservation of energy. It can change forms and neither can be created or destroyed. Creation cannot happen by natural means. The 2LT has various aspects, one being the universe is winding down, entropy. Usable energy is becoming less usable, so at one point usable energy was at its max. This all points to a supernatural creation, by a supernatural creator at a certain point in which matter, space, and time were created. When I read how it can happen otherwise, ALL the fools resort to science-fiction. Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it.
We can't even get science without God. The laws of nature only can come from a Lawgiver, God.
      Only shallow people follow Hitchens.
