Been riding motorcycle for well over 50 years! I look at modern bikes with riding modes, anti lock brakes and all the plastic panels and they are totally devoid of any character. Give me old bikes any day.
The Ace Cafe looks like an old folks' home.
I'm from the era when Triton, Norvils and what had you were common, not just in the UK (I'm from Holland). I love these bikes. But... back then most of us rode them because we could not afford the then new V7 Sport or CB750... I believe that is worth remembering too... It may look sort of romantic, but it was not.
Fixing your own bike was necessary as there was no money to pay someone else.
So good to see those classic bikes, as a Indian so happy to see Royal Enfield

@@mred7030 Hi, that's my bike. The battery was flat after no use for 6 months. I moved the ignition to emergency and then it started. Believe it or not, I usually give a kick, turn on the ignition and then it starts straight away. I saw the previous videos and thought I had been left on the cutting room floor, so not all bad.
For the first kick- bump this GT Main should wear white socks…..!
