We Are Not Going To Allow You To Fly A Drone Above There! You Have To Stop Doing It Sir đČđžđ„â

- Äas pĆidĂĄn 28. 08. 2022
- Today we take a look at John Lewis & Partners Distribution Centre - Magna Park 1, Fen St, Old Farm Park, Milton Keynes MK17 8EW.
We follow a footpath to a security barrier where we speak to a truck driver and see great things from security who are checking vehicles on the way out.
We return to the public footpath for the drone video and then security come outside and let us know what they are going to allow us to do.
We try and explain that flying the drone over the building is nothing to worry about but they decide to phone the police.
Enjoy!

I know the drone is a wind up but if the police attend they should charge them for the cost of attending. Fire brigade charge for false alarms.
All the guards need to do is read the laws to do with drones.
you are right. It will only change when they are charged financially for unnecessary call outs
There is already an offence regarding wasting police time. The relevant element of the legislation in this case is that the person making the complaint must know that no offence is actually being committed when they make the report. It should never be the case that any member of the public should be afraid they'll be fined for reporting, what they believe, is an offence being committed.
@@ChizzAir Perhaps the answer is to train the call handler to ask the caller if he is on public property and if the answer is yes, explain that he is allowed to do it and the same with the drone. I have a feeling this is happening more and more anyway as we are seeing fewer cases with plod turning up now.
@@stevethomas2559 That's, ideally, exactly how it should play out. Given that the police are usually filming when out in public, they should have a reasonable grasp of the relevant legislation. I don't believe every officer should, or could, have an understanding of every obscure bit of legislation however, that would be an impossible task.
If officers are being asked to attend an incident where they've got a knowledge gap, they should have a point of contact within the police force (most police forces have drone operators) to educate them before they start questioning members of the public.
The real problem here isn't that these John Lewis employees were going to call the police, it's that they approached DJ, told him what to do, didn't listen to what he had to say in response and only after DJ wouldn't comply with their orders they went to call the police.
It's reasonable to assume that someone who's flying a drone and is doing so openly is going to know what they can and can't legally do. If you still have concerns and decide to question them directly, listening to what they say is essential. Most operators are not going to be obstructive and would be happy to alleviate any concerns.
Lots of comments making assumptions about where people were born & languages they speak, or do not speak. That is not important. The point of the exercise is, security & ordinary folk are being educated and that is what's really important.

Fair play to you, I did not understand a word that Scottish security fella was on about.
And I thought care in the community was a thing of the past. But John Lewis are obviously making an effort.
It should be among the first things that security people learn, about small drones. Report them!
They aren't trained by the company, so it's the company's fault.
They need telling that wasting police time is an offence and 999 is for Emergencies Only. Just because they do not understand the law they resort to the usual intimidation tactics. John Lewis need to educate their security staff.
John Lewis are at fault for not training these fools not to bother members of the public in public That kind of aggressive demanding approach is not acceptable in this day and age in the current climate.
No company or person wants some random guy dressed in inconspicuous clothes inorder to hide themselves asking nonsense questions and has no actual idea about anything that they are filming to start filming their businesses or facilities or employees. Then adding a drone. John Lewis isnât going to care nor should they because these auditors are only there to get a reaction and cause trouble under the guise of it beinging a lawful activity. This guy and all the auditors that do this stuff are just a public nuisance. The fans of auditors like yourself cheer them on like âwow I canât believe x company employs these peopleâ. But every other normal person thinks these guys are douche bags which they are. Theirs a million hobbies donât pick the one that effects blue collar workers.
I expect JLP will have a word with their security contractors after seeing this.
@@Hangnailer47 - whether âthese peopleâ are douche bags or not is moot. No-one going about their lawful business should expect or endure interference from anyone, employees of some company or otherwise. There are many examples of officious people demanding behaviour of others where they have no right or need to do so and unless there are some that demonstrate the rights we have then those rights may disappear. You may not like the law but until it is changed it is the law.
I do find some of the interactions somewhat cringey, on both sides, but thereâs nothing wrong with what âauditorsâ are doing when they are polite, unconfrontational and within the law. Private security giving orders to members of the public, however, is not on.
There have been examples, if you follow this and other channels, where the organisations have (at least given the appearance of) welcoming the attention and using it as positive PR.
@@portlyoldman dude itâs a pretty clear cut formula. Go to a business that has security, film in front of the property within eyeshot of the security, get a response from them. Obviously they donât want you or anyone just hanging out infront of their business with a camera filming because itâs weird and nobody does that besides auditors. 99% of the time the guys just say they donât want to be on camera which who does by a stranger, they donât want you filming the property because again itâs really odd more than half the time itâs warehouses with nothing going on besides daily work tasks and employees may actually feel uncomfortable or that youâre casing the joint or looking for a specific employee. Some of these confrontations with security seems like boarder line harassment. They arenât interested in the business at all.
This guy shows up to places on a bike so his car canât be tracked completely covered up and starts filming and gets confronted and answers questions pretty much very vaguely because the questions donât really matter. He doesnât care about company or business or brand it just to get a reaction but if you film him he puts a mask on to conceal his identity. It would be really sketchy to anyone. He demands them to have respect for the public but at the same time completely disrespects their requests. The private security of these businesses arenât going out to the public and demanding thing from of them. When have you heard of a security guard from x company go out to the side walk and demand things. Itâs only when you have a camera filming them and the business they say hey can you not do that please. Again these are just to get a reaction and say I can do this and thereâs nothing you can do about it haha. Itâs just being a nuisance and again everyone besides the people that support these auditors see that. Yes you are lawfully allowed to do this but should you? Is going around to companyâs and warehouses where these blue collar workers are working hard hours and probably not getting paid enough and getting them riled up for the kicks of being like Iâm allowed to do this thereâs nothing you can do about it really something to be proud or happy about? Is it hard cash??? đ€
These SIA bafoons really have no clue, no matter which auditer your watching, they come out barking this, queefing that, and none of them realise how rediculous they sound. Why arenât they teaching these goons about this sort of thing when they are being trained! Your too polite DJ, give them the benefit at first, attempt to educate them, if they still donât listen, start cracking skulls! Metaphorically speaking of coarse đ€Ł
The level of ignorance amongst private security personnel is shocking , surely they could learn this on their sia courses
Hi mate, I was wondering if the playing of loud music would interfere with the way you do things ?
Great work by the way !đ
It really doesnât matter what country youâre in, there in the U.K. or here in the U.S., people think that you âneed permissionâ to film in public. Thank you, DJ and all of the other auditors out there trying to educate people. I know that before I started watching auditor videos, I had no clue that anyone can film anything in public or from a public place.
As a fellow Englishman, Iâm amazed how many stupid people there are working in security đ another great video DJ thanks a bunch for posting. I even give you a shout out this week
I wouldn't go as far to call them stupid, just that the majority of them appear to come from countries where different laws apply and they are a little confused regarding UK laws. Before anyone accuses me of racism, I'm basing my opinion purely on their foreign accents.
Jesus Christ where did John Lewis get these goons from??? Need to go back swiftly where they came from!!!!!đđđđđđ
On a boat with a hole in it
Your country doesn't want you either
iv'e not spoken to a single security guard with an English accent in years, if it's true it's true lol, i like expressing the truth.
