- Did you catch everything at the Austrian GP? Well let me show you what you didn't see behind the scenes at the Austrian GP - here's all the untold stories from the 2023 Austrian Grand Prix.
This weekend the Red Bull Ring turned up the atmosphere for the second F1 sprint race of the year in Styria and I can tell you that the Dutch F1 fans dominated the place! This jam packed F1 Grand Prix saw Red Bull's Max Verstappen dominate the F1 circuit once again and the Austrian GP track limits seemed to certainly skew the end results of the race , with Alpine's Esteban Ocon picking up a 30 second time penalty and a number of F1 drivers receiving penalties for breaching track limits.
But allow me to explain what you probably didn't see from the F1's broadcasting this weekend. Stick around to see everything from the Austrian F1 GP!

The funny cars you mentioned are called Haflinger. They were originally built in Austria for our military and are among the best wheeled offroad vehicles ever built. But for military use they had an awful payload so they were replaced by another great offroad vehicle called Pinzgauer.
Both of them are well loved in Austria and have a huge fanbase. And I can tell you they are so much fun to drive. So they are still in use within the alpine regions.
I love to see how F1 used these legendary cars for the drivers parade!

Saw you on TV during the pre race show. They were interviewing Charles and you came walking right up next to them. I've looked out for you before, this is the first time I've caught you on TV.

There are lots of Dutch fans who go there to camp in their tents and caravans. It is very affordable, and it is in the holiday season so they can stay there for a week or two. Beautiful area. Plus some of the fans like that camping atmosphere with loud music and lots of beer.
This started before the Dutch GP returned, and remained because tickets for the Dutch GP are difficult to obtain, and expensive.
So you can find entirely orange grandstands. And Max is very successful there, so often there is something to celebrate.
It is an amazing atmosphere in Austria!

Dude your F1 content on CZcams is absolutely unrivalled, i am loving it! Official F1 and sky CZcams content is just boring as hell, they only exist because there is no other real F1 content on CZcams as they got the license, normal CZcamsrs can't even say F1 without getting flagged lol.. and here is you knocking out quality F1 content way beyond what we could hope for.. Bravo sir.. bravo

It was an enjoyable weekend to watch on TV (even though, I usually don't like the sprint format). Lots of exciting stuff on track on each of the three days. It's nice that things have normalized post-COVID. I remember only a couple of years ago in your videos how long you were away from home and family. It must be great to be able to get home and to have family travel with you at times during the season. Really like the videos.
These funny looking cars are called "Haflinger" from the company Puch, named after a local horse breed. They still in use by our military (but designed in the late 60s), 4 wheel driven and normaly a crew car for 8 soldiers in the mountains. PS: We had never that space btw.

Something else that the Ferrari drivers are provided SF90s to drive around. Not too shabby. The gold Pateks are my pick from the watches of the Paddock.
Gordon Ramsay is a serious F1 fan. I have my pics of him from Montreal. He did the back to back. Guessing he will do the trifecta and attend Silverstone.

I was camping at the GP and while I was in my soggy sleeping bag after an hour of intense rain the music was still blasting from our dutch neighbors' speakers. The atmosphere was mental!

I've always wondered how can I get a foot in the door at F1 in terms of the comms team, especially as a Malaysian where there's not much motorsporting to prove my worth.

these are Racers they know from the moment they strap on a helmet they are entering the danger zone .,, and if you wanna be great you have to be so tough they couldn’t castrate you with a chainsaw, I mean look at Zhou crash at Silverstone last year ,,, or Max crash at Silverstone in 2021 which was very hard hit in a older F1 car he may of been very seriously hurt ,, it’s also a very dangerous circuit,, as is Suzuka but any where anytime this could happen… I just think with Spa it probably shouldn’t be raced unless it’s bone dry,, and maybe put safer Barriers in like NASCAR or something idk
They can only analyse and learn. With "they" I also mean the FIA, by letting them race with zero visibility.
Is the track dangerous? I don't know. But it took too long for the yellow/red flags to come out, resulting in disaster. And that is who's decision?

I suggest never using British Airways. Flights being canceled and delayed all the time and affected my Fiance and Mother.
