The Silverstone GP is always one of the biggest events on the F1 schedule, which means that the 2023 F1 drivers often step it up vehicle wise. Last weekend I saw some fabulous vehicles, like Lando Norris' roadcar, which was a Mclaren Senna. But was Lando Norris' personal car the biggest draw card at the Silverstone car park though? No it was not, in fact there was a $2,000,000 USD car, but who drove it? You'll have to watch the entire video to find out!

Mclarens senna all day, one of the craziest rides of my life and I’ve been in many cars, the senna is visceral
honestly the AM DBX is just gorgeous and a beast irl my neighbour has one and I just stare at it when I walk by everyday 😂
Kym I always love your videos. Yuki's Type R is actually a special limited edition spec. Only 600 of those were made, making it a much higher value car than the normal mass production Honda Civic Type R's.

I'd have the little orange Alpine, Supercars are ok but I like a car that you can actually use to it's full potential on the roads more than once in a lifetime

I love your channel Kym and was hoping to meet you in the paddock at Silverstone last weekend to say hi and get some tips on how to get a driver signature on my cap but alas BA cancelled our flight to the uk 2 hours before takeoff so we missed the race … gutted and 4 paddock passes wasted:(

Friday we visited McLaren in Headquarters, and Lando an Oscar we’re both right there near us. Then all of us went to Goodwood festival of speed.
My first F1 race having flown over from Indiana. I was hoping to spot you. But one in half 1 million is probably a pretty small chance.
My new corvette is plenty fast for me. I’ve driven Silverstone also.

There are plenty of Ford Mach E's for Red Bull to use because they are piling up on Dealers lots because very few are finding buyers.

My favorite car would be bespoke when it comes to design. I would have it as supercar with an electric motor like the Model S Plaid.
I'd have the McLaren Arturo because it still retains the hydraulic steering rack, so you really feel the road. true torque-vectoring not like the previous McLaren's which use braking. I also love the carbon tub that McLaren's are known for. Ferrari are too over the top and that electric steering rack is a no go. You don't feel the road with most of today's new cars

We don’t go in the stands so I’d have little idea.

Hi Kym This video gives an insight into the Mclarens astounding supercars. Yes one can certainly dream of owning these cars however for daily run it should be a good Honda or an Audi should suffice. Gowra

If I could own any of them, probably the Benz CLA (was it?). I don’t think EVs are practical enough yet or I’d probably say say the Mustang. Despite being an F1 fan, supercars have never done anything for me.

I saw zac brown in his speed tail last year at Silverstone. The bastard cut me and my Dad off in that sexy machine as we were leaving the track

I have one question! The drivers cars in the paddock all have ID and stickers etc. Why don't the F1 cars on the track have visible numbers like in all other forms of racing. Indy car and Nascar... You can easily identify the driver. But F1? I know the team. But which driver? Is it George or Lewis? I can't see numbers on TV or at the track from the Grandstand
Look for the TCam. Half are black and half have fluoro yellow.
@@KymIllman thanks. Not sure what the Tcam is. Track camera? So color code but still no numbers? Is the space on cars so valuable to prohibit numbers on them?

If I had a 'money is no object' then I guess I could also afford a driver to pilot me around. That said however something well down the food chain would be more practical and then I could afford the travel to follow F! and maybe stay in hotels that cost $10k. Choice well most likely one of the SUV's (so I can get all that travel and photographic gear in the back.

Civic type r is best car there. Realistically affordable and on a road as quick as anything plus practical top car

The McLaren Senna is a terrific track car with one deficiency - Its front tires are too narrow which limits front end grip, which many commentators tracking it have noted.
McLaren definitely won the car game at Silverstone. The Speedtail is insane. And Lando clearly drove the Senna rather than walking to promote the brand. Smart.
