It's amazing that Shahar is a real-life Galilean who grew up with no knowledge of Jesus or the story of the gospel, and is now playing Peter and (pretending to) preach that same gospel to others. If he hasn't already, I keep praying that he'll have a transformative encounter with the real Jesus during his time on the show, as other cast members have.
It would amaze me if he doesn’t accept Christ as his Lord and Savior by the time this series ends.
@@Robbie09 it's a slow personal change. As you know, it's all about the seed growth. This show most probably planted a seed in his heart. We can't see it. Even he himself might not feel it...but as time goes he will start to feel it and that's my hope and prayer.

This show turned my life around I started going to church an got save an had the holy ghost for 3 yrs an then I lost my car they cut out part of my disability check I got behind on my bills then I got depressed an I couldn't go to church .because of my health.i just come out of depression I don't know how long it will last. With my health going bad.i think I need to watch it again .but I thank God everyday for waking me up an he always makes sure that me and my family have what we need.. it's gonna be awesome I can't wait till I get to watch on TV God bless all you Dallas and all who are on an off the set.❤
Peters first actual sermon was on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came, aka the Comforter.
This sermon was anything but a dud. They spoke in tongues (not an unknown language or the language of angels but foreign languages from his own) every person heard in their own language.

Well, we know that because it was recorded. Is it hard to imagine the disciples sharing parables Jesus had taught them? Also notice that the one in the clip was the one about forgiveness which was a pivot point in The Chosen for Peter and Matthew.
I hope we see more Thaddeus!! I feel like his personality has not been as fleshed out as the others.. excited for season 5❤

It shows us that politics and division is nothing new. I really pray that all will turn to God and recognize that our only King is God. Thank you for showing things that they really were and not presenting false ideas of what it was like and still is today.

@douglasboyd8475 Well, what to do? Even sometimes, I get angry the way they show Peter, the second most iconic character in the gospels after Jesus. They made him look like a class clown, but the truth is he's a teachers pet, a hyperactive student who always has questions and best answers, running to teachers' aid. As a Catholic, it really hurts me. They got a really good actor to play the role of Peter, I hope they use him well, BUT I BELIEVE DALLAS AND HIS TEAM! May be this is because they are trying to tell, everything spl abt disciples came because of Holy spirit.... Let's us see what's happening... Also I have seen another bts of Peter giving sermon. So this isn't the only one...❤
We don't know everything that happened then, Peter's first sermon (probably not recorded in any Gospel) might have flopped. Who knows? But the important thing is that people are coming to Christ because of this show. Also, love Shahar! His acting is amazing! ❤

No ma’am, Peter’s first sermon is recorded in the Bible and it was an Acts chapter 2. He did not preach a sermon before that.
For them to come out and say he preached a flop sermon is absolutely ridiculous and the more I think about it, the more frustrated I get. That’s taking too much liberty.

Even I get "angry" (if that's even the right word) at some things depicted in this show, such as one of the episodes only had a little bit of actual scripture in it. But I think it's important that remember that this is just a show (even if it is good) and not the actual Bible, and there are many different ideas about what the disciples and Jesus actually did.
1:17: “we are defending the law of Moses.”
Jesus: “I AM THE LAW OF MOSES.”

The Chosen Team: This is a MOST HEARTFELT " THANK YOU" from me to ALL of YOU ! When I was a little girl, I " Loved Jesus" because I went to Sunday School, sang songs, learned verses, heard stories and played with my friends. I grew up too fast, went down wrong paths, hurt and was hurt, and basically lost my child like faith. That was my beginning in 1944. When I turned 50 , I began to awaken from the dark that I had been in. I began to SEEK my friend JESUS CHRIST, and in 2003 I found HIM within the Hebraic Roots Movement. In 2015 I was Immersion Baptized into the 'first death' and came out a new creature with a real and close 'companion ' - the Holy Spirit. AND in 2017 Your Team and the FIRST SEASON showed me a JESUS that I fell in LOVE WITH, all over again as a grown woman. I never looked back, AND - Thanks Be to GOD - NEITHER DID YOU ! My BIBLES during these past years have become the only Daily reading resources, and I make my own notes in them. EACH PROGRESSIVE SEASON has brought another level of understanding and acceptance to my WALK OF FAITH . AGAIN, THANK YOU TO THE WHOLE TEAM !
Jesus is Lord! He paid for your sins! By the way, we were all sinners. (that’s our nature without God) Since we sin, we deserve a punishment and that punishment is death. However, Jesus saved us from that penalty. Jesus died a very bad death for you. He was nailed to a cross. Jesus took our punishment even though He didn’t have to. He never sinned. (He didn’t deserve death) God (YAHWEH) wants your heart because He loves you. Jesus was the perfect Lamb to sacrifice because He had no blemish. In other words, Jesus never sinned but He died for our sins. He paid the fines for our sins. That’s so crazy because we sin so much in our daily lives! He saved us from sin! He rose from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit! Jesus was sent by God because He’s God’s own son! He was filled with the Precious Holy Spirit (God’s Spirit) so He had the power over sin! We can receive the Holy Spirit if we do these things:
1. Admit we are a sinner and repent from your sins (turn away from sin)
2. Believe that Jesus is God and He died for you and rose for you
3. Confess that Jesus is Lord.
I love you, please take this into action. God loves you, Jesus loves you and the Holy Spirit loves you! You were in Their mind before creation. If you do these things you can have eternal life with God in Heaven! Look at creation, you can tell that there is a creator, the proof: creation. In the same way you know that there was a painter because you can see the painting. God is real and He’s coming to judge the world. It’s not by our own works we get saved but the works of Jesus Christ. Put your trust in Jesus and let the Holy Spirit lead your lives! I love you all, that’s why I am sharing this! I don’t anyone to go to hell! God bless you! Read the Bible!❤️🔥🕊😃

The point is that the sanhidrin cared about their high seats and not the fufillment of the will of God. Remember a time in the bible where they ask the guards at the tomb to lie about the resurrection of Jesus. Like what??? They didnt even care if He was Lord or not. They didnt want to look bad.
And still today... the Jews believe Jesus was not the Messiah, but a revolutionary.
There are many Jews who believe Jesus is the Messiah. They are called Messianic Jews.

It’s so crazy how in season 4 when all the religious leaders were together plotting against Jesus you could literally feel the evil through the screen. Obviously I know the actors aren’t evil but it blew me away how I was able to feel the wickedness through the screen and it also broke my heart because I realized how many of them surrounded Jesus while He was all alone and how badly they must have hurt Him because they hated Him so much

Caiaphas was a very strict, uber-religious Pharisee who unfortunately chose the wrong side of history. These actors are wonderful in making you forget it's just acting. The scene last season where Shmu'el and Youssef were told Jesus was being sought for capital punishment was so intense.

Agreed. I see I'm not the only one who see Caiaphas as dangerous. After watching and hearing his speech in season 4, Caiaphas has me scared for Jesus more than Quintas, Pilot, or Herod.

This is such a GREAT show. The actors/actresses are doing a phenomenal job. I’m also stoked on the fact that you’re filming in Midlothian, TX. I used to live in Arlington but we had a restaurant in Italy that looked like a starship on the ground. McDonalds bought the land but in their place in the back the wallpaper is a commemoration to our place.
