I love seeing reviews of cheaper pens from creators that have really expensive pens in their collection to compare it to. I don't have the budget for a Lamy 2000 but I love fountain pens and I really appreciate hearing your opinion in an inexpensive pen. Thank you!
I am glad this was helpful! Thank you!
Same here! Not to mention that I find the original design of the #Lamy2000 a bit to masculine, harsh, in my opinion. Whereas the #Jinhao80 is so much right up my alley (Those neutral tones body & gold detailing... ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥) I'm in L-O-V-E!!! They are a ferfect match for my #TWSBI_Eco Creme & Ceffe Bronze... 😲💕 #SoHardToResist W-O-W!!! The struggle is... R-E-A-L!!!
The only thing is I'd wish the Jinhao had a hooded nib as well (On the other hand, I can understand why they didn't want it to be an exact dupe... 😉 To avoid legal action/s)
Anyhow, thanks a bunch for this awesome #PenReview 😘 As always, it was very informative, efficient & helpful!
The Lamy 2000, Brown Limited edition - 55th anniversary has to be one of my favorites, I have it with an EF and I always have it inked up, I love it.
I don’t need the Lamy 2000 Brown, I don’t… I don’t… 🙈😂
I've been thinking about purchasing this pen for awhile. I did so immediately after watching your video. Thank you for your review!
Hope you enjoy it!
Hi Karyna, I myself have 6 Jinhao 80's. One I have is the black body with the black clip. On that one I swapped out the nib and put on a black Lamy nib. I also swapped one of the others for a Lamy nib. And then there is the Blue Denim 80. With that one, I've dedicated that one to use Noodler's Baystate Blue since it's such a troublesome ink. And yes, I have the Green, Grey, Brown and Burgundy models as well!!
I love this! When you find something that works, use it!
I got two, the green and cream. I got an EF and F nib. I really enjoy these pens. I keep one at work with my work planner. I don't worry about leaving it there. Thanks for reviewing this. It gives people options.
Love that! Glad to hear others are enjoying this pen!
Thanks love the jin hao 80 fun pen and chanting nibs makes it versatile
Yes! Love the versatility and different colour options!
The Jinhao 80 is a nice pen, the only downside is that the Jinhao nibs can be hit or miss. I have the Red and Gold, Blue and Gold, and the All Black, the blue and gold has never worked properly. The All Black came with a silver nib, so I ordered a Jinhao 35 in all black to get the black nib. It is nice to know that you could use Lamy nibs and that opens up so many options. I love my Black and Red Jinhao 80s.
So true. Thankfully, the ones I've received have been very good!
Ooh that looks beautiful 😍 I’ve never seen these before but I like the color options.
Thank you 🤗 I just looked today and they have blue, grey, green, red!
I have one of these Jinhao 80s with a fine nib and find it writes really well 👍
Yes! For the cost of these, they are great pens!
Enjoyed this video! I ordered a black with a silver clip on E-Bay yesterday.
Yay! Enjoy!
I use mine with my gold Lamy gold nibs and my Lamy stubs, I feel like a baller using my gold nib on a $5 pen
That is awesome!!
I have mine in deep green and gold trim, gorgeous combination! Feels so regal. I have had a look at the Lamy 2k at their store, not a huge fan of the silver trim but also the nubs towards the grip section would drive me nuts. And i much prefer to clean out pens using cartridges. The Jinhao 80 is the best choice for me, for everything you just said. Jinhao has managed to take all that Lamy 2k could not offer and make it spectacular. Also, did not know it would fit Lamy nibs but that made it even better!
That is a beautiful combination! And yes, try it with the Lamy nibs!!
Love this review. Just got the brown, green and blue. Although I love how the Lamy writes I just couldn’t pull the trigger because its just black. Couldn’t justify buying it when I knew I wasn’t going to be inspired to write with it.
I totally get it! And the fact that you can interchange the nib for a Lamy nib as well!
Thanks, Karyna. I've violated my no-pen -purchase rule, so this is great information. Lasted only about 4-6 weeks. : (
Oh no! Sorry not sorry?! 😅
@@KarynaLovesToPlan Also ordered an E95s Elite.
I bought one a little while ago to use with my Lamy nibs as I can't get along with the grip on the safari. I ended up liking the Jinhao EF nib though and never changed it!
Yay! I like the Jinhao EF too! Such a good pen for the price!
I am thinking of that pen a few weeks ago but bought the Pentel Energel Clena 😅
You should! It’s a good one for the price!
I bought these same color pens last year to do exactly as you did! Unfortunately, I could not remove either nib to be replaced with a Lamy 1.1 stub. Maybe I'll ask someone with a stronger grip before I pull out the pliers!
Darn! The nib on the brown one came off easily with tape. I know the white one may take a little more muscle. Depends what you get I guess!
The Jinhao pens look great. I continue to be concerned about China's obsession with replicating products and services from around world and passing it off as being first tier in quality. Much of this replication of the hard work that others have put into products and services has earned China a reputation for "taking" from others and calling it their own.
In this case, Jinhao has not called these Lamy 2000’s or tried to pass these off as Lamy dupe’s. They have been inspired by the model rather than replicating it completely. And people who buy Jinhao know that they aren’t getting a $200 pen. Some people cannot afford that and this allows those people to still have access to fountain pens.
I love my Lamy 2000 but I feel that it's too back-heavy when posted and I do wish it came in a c/c version. I'm not a huge fan of piston-filling pens because I love switching inks and never use a whole fill
I am the same - I like to change my inks regularly. So the c/c in the Jinhao 80 is a great option!
Can you do a PWM with your Sterling Ink passport planner?
There isn't really much I put in there, except appointments. And I don't really decorate it. But I did do a video back in February showing how I use it. czcams.com/video/O0WoBAoBIA0/video.html

Haha thank you. Brain fart 🤯

😇🩷🙏🙌
c'mon karyna of course its a clone, just think about it. If the L2000 wouldn't exist, the Jinhaos wouldn't have no pen. I really don't think is fair to copy a product wether its a Lamy or a Rolex watch. Love you always ☺
Thanks for the feedback. I would classify a clone or a copy if Jinhao tried to pass this off as a Lamy 2000. It’s not a Lamy 2000. It’s been inspired by it, with a different nib and filling system.
youre a bit late, nowadays people rave about the jinhao 9019/6/3
People still do reviews of pens that came out years ago, so I think the review still has value!
