  • March 6, 2004 - With fresh legs and steady ease, newly acquired Detroit Pistons power forward Rasheed Wallace unleashed the full arsenal against the Denver Nuggets, dunking and scoring as he pleased while contributing to a near total lockdown on the defensive end, holding the opposition to just 66 points in a 31-point rout. The win was the second of five consecutive games in which the Pistons held their opponents to 69 points or less, an NBA record.
Wallace's acquisition spurred a 19-4 Pistons run to close the regular season and led to an impressive postseason march that concluded with Detroit winning the third championship in franchise history.

Please! Any Sheed in Detroit is just awesome! I wish they posted him up more and pick and popped more. He is so skilled as an offensive player. It was a mystery why Detroit did not make him their first option. Rip and Big shot were great but Sheed arguably is the most talented weapon.

Rasheed Wallace was ahead of his time and a talented offensive weapon at power forward at 6'11 can post up and it fadeaway from mid range and shoot 3point shot
Rasheed Wallace was ahead of his time a little
In today's game he would fit perfectly Rasheed Wallace would be a stretch center at 6'11 and could shoot the 3point shot

@@andrecayton904 He was later used as a stretch 5, but I just didn't understand why the Pistons didn't post him up more. Maybe he was too unselfish or unwilling to attack. I think He could easily be a 26-9-3-3 block guy if he'd taken 18-20 shots a game. I dont think that hurts the offence either. I'd rather have Sheed post up and get a shot than to have Rip having to force it in an iso vs an elite defender

True that Pistons should have used Rasheed Wallace in the post more
And you right Rasheed Wallace was so unselfish with Detroit Pistons
His numbers could have even been bigger

@@dashauncarney9651 I thought it was a no-brainer...Sheed should've been their first option for halfcourt, playing an inside out old school bball. But what they did worked lol
