    Man Brad Radke’s BBRef page is amazing. Appeared in one game his rookie year where he didn’t get the start, was like “don’t you ever pull that shit again” and made 377 starts, eating innings, what a Chad

    This was surprisingly hard, but I was glad to have maxmannised Brad Radke, who was and remains seriously underrated. The fact that Max himself didn't get him just makes me want a 90s-All Stars round even more!
    Also didn't Derek Jeter spend 15 seasons after 2000 with the Yankees?

    • @johnrudowski4974
      @johnrudowski4974 Před rokem +15

      I looked it up and Jeter played 15 seasons from 2000-2014. I think because he debuted before 2000, he doesn't count.

    • @BendyDH
      @BendyDH Před rokem +10

      I mean the question was retired players who played 15 seasons with 1 team after 2000 so I’d argue Jeter should be there

    • @snerdterguson
      @snerdterguson Před rokem +4

      But this t was SINCE 2000. I took that to mean players that debuted and played 15+ for one team starting in 2001. If that was what they meant, then Jeter doesn't fit the category with only the 14 seasons.
      But it is worded pretty ambiguously.

    • @ahogg5960
      @ahogg5960 Před rokem +4

      @@snerdtergusonYeah I made the same mistake and was like "Oh easy. Cal Ripken Jr, Tony Gwynn, King Felix and Chipper Jones"

    I'm proud of myself for actually getting Brad Radke. I had to reach back into my childhood memories to bring that one up. Back in the mid-90s when I was a youngin', I would play indoor baseball with my younger brother. It involved using a plastic toy bowling pin as a bat and nerf balls from the old nerf slingshot as baseballs (some wicked curveballs could be thrown with those). We would keep track of stats, each of us having a roster of various pitchers and batters across mlb. I remember having flamethrowers like Nolan Ryan and Roger Clemens, or pitchers with more unique styles like Jimmy Key, Mark Eichorn, and Jim Abbott, etc... and then there was Brad Radke, who we tried to emulate by giving up easy long balls, lol (sorry to the Brad Radke fans).

    Did my immaculate grid twice. Same answers for 8 of 9 spots but I guessed Cliff Lee as a Cleveland and Cincy player (outside of the 1990 Reds, the team is out of my wheelhouse) and he wasn't ever a red. So I got my first rarity score over 100 at 123. But I noticed there was another Cliff Lee who played in the 1910s-1920s so I used him on my second grid for poops and giggles. Turns out he was on both teams, and only 0.02% pulled him. So my second grid ended up being 100 points lower at a very nice 23. Second highest scoring grid I've done. My best was an idiotically lucky 7. Every spot I knew some early 20th century player that basically no one else guessed. To help some others out. If Cleveland is one of the teams and there's a category it pairs with for .300 season, 100 rbi, HOF... Earl Averill. Guy was a great player, but totally forgotten today.
