Mr Puzzle's "A-ha!" moments are so joyful! The last few minutes show how well you understood how the puzzle worked and that it wasn't just a lucky fluke!

You disassembling it and then struggling to reassemble itreminded me of the old saying "You can't unscramble eggs."
Man this is a 4 in 1, it's an aesthetic shelf object, it's a puzzle, it's a dexterity exercise and it's a workout.

I can't believe I spent that much for this 3 piece puzzle. But, I am enjoying it. It is a fun challenge every time I put it back together.

Yes! I remember how frustrating it was when I was first learning how to assemble it. It's definitely a fun thing to bring out at a party. Everyone thinks it will be easy based on appearances, and then they inevitably wind up struggling a bit.
I could see my oldest son, the "Puzzle Worker" putting the pieces in the back of the bottom shelf, so no one sees it unworked.

Only as satisfying with the joyful almost excited voice, very endearing to watch haha. Also the setup clip at the start. . Actually found that oddly funny. Again, very endearing.

Are you kidding me? Dude the giraffe puzzle is one of the hardest puzzles known to man.
I want someone to make a difficult giraffe puzzle.
No matter how many times I watch the giraffe puzzle video, I still can't figure it out. Yet it was so naturally solved by that puzzle expert! The only puzzle you can watch someone solve it before you eyes, and STILL have no idea how to do it yourself!

Just imagine trying to make that by hand from a 1' cube of tungsten with only a hacksaw and a couple of nail-files. Keep you busy for an hour or two over the weekend...
I'm so late to the game, and no disrespect for Craighill, great work by them; however, when watching this, all I could dream of is a diabolical puzzle design by a collaboration between Mr Puzzle and This Old Tony. That would be rather amazing.

Very nice! I like the way it comes apart and goes together sort of like a camera lens. Also cool trick at the end ;)
We almost called it the Aperture Puzzle because of that camera lens effect!
You're so good at puzzles, you've got a ball of steel.
These puzzles work amazing being die-cast Magnesium/Aluminium on Kapton internal insulators with Neodymum magnets (these holds quite well on the Mg-Al alloy molten temperatures) stuck between these Kapton frames. If these made like that they are really savage to disassemble. Centrifugal forces only.
For assembly you pack these into the silk handkerchief and twist it ;)
edit- magnetic ones that I've explained are almost impossible to disassemble by hand - but they slide together in a blink of an eye.
Your variant assembles itself being put into the sliding nylon handkerchief. I've seen the same puzzle that you've demonstrated made of iron-bark in Holland it some early 1900s. They assembled nice being carefully wrapped in silk handkerchief.
edit2 - you cup your left hand with the handkerchief laying on the circle formed by your thumb and index finger. Wrap up around these free tails after you'll fit the base. Twist that handkerchief up letting it almost fly...

Difference between me and Mr Puzzle - At 4 minutes into doing the puzzle MP perseveres - I would have a large hole in my front window.
