The second of two theatrical features specifically based on and continuing the TV show The Lone Ranger it stars Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels, reprising their roles from the TV series. The first feature film was 1956's The Lone Ranger. No further films based on this specific version of the characters were made after this one.
Three Indians are murdered. Each was wearing a medallion when he died. Together the medallions form a puzzle whose solution points to gold.

I'm 68 now, and I can't thank you enough for bringing back my heroes of 55 years ago. Lone Ranger, Tonto and Silver, AWAY!!!
As a kid I looked forward to going to school every day. But being a severe asthmatic during the early 60s I often missed many days. The only thing that helped me accept it was my dear Mother would prop me up in front of the television and turn the channel to the sound of the William Tell Overture. To this day a tear falls from my eyes when I hear,” Hi ho Silver. Away!”.
My favorite heroes growing up. I remember meeting the Lone Ranger and Silver at the Ambassador theater in DC when I was a youngster. After watching the first full length theatrical episode he came out on stage with Silver and spoke to us and gave us a silver bullet.( of course it was only plastic). Even though I'm now 76 I will always cherish that memory.
I used to watch the Lone Ranger as a teenager so you can guess how old I am and I still have to watch them. Love it! Tex
I can remember listening to "The Lone Ranger" programs on the radio, then watching the TV show. Enjoyed the movie. Probably saw this a very long time ago but glad I found it today.
I continue at 80 to watch this series. I enjoy watching it. I hope children today enjoy this series. Its is a series that teaches what is right. It taught many of us as values. It wasn't just entertainment.
I was raised in a western town in New Mexico. My dad, my grandpa and many other cowboys encouraged me to watch these wonderful movies. I'm happy to say I enjoy them way too much than I admit.

Few movies stand the test of time. Even fewer wholesome men. Thank God Clayton and Jay are a part of that. Say what you will but they along with Gene Autry and Roy Rogers & wife, Dale set the standard to which our modern day heroes ascribe to. Fellas like Cordell Walker & his late partner, James Trivette. Dan "Hondo" Harrelson & the team at L.A.P.D. SWAT. Justice, even in spite of racial bigotry and cruelty, greed and injustice must be met by men & women who believe in the greater good by a HIGHER POWER. Thanks Clayton & Jay....you guys set the mark for everyone to follow.

Agree on the older ones but not so much on Harrelson on SWAT. Now if you want to talk about "Hondo" on the westerns many years ago I would probably say yes.
Nothing since the probably the 60s,maybe 70s show any "heroes" in any shows.
Met Clayton Moore in the early 60s he was kind and generous and for me will always be the Lone Ranger

YES! I am approaching 80 quite soon and I got all fired up when I, today, saw this, FREE, on my pc. I feel exactly as you do. Clayton Moore was in a few Rocky Lane films and he and Allan "Rocky" Lane, I believe, were much alike, on screen and their persons...perhaps my two favorite western cowboys. I got so excited with this because if I ever saw it in 1958 I cannot remember now. Thanks for your comment Dusty.

Woh, a fine western movie by Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels. No unnecessary shoot outs, merciless killings etc, yet this film steals our hearts.
But the real hero is the beautiful snow white stallion, which is so trained to help the hero in all ways. It reminds me of one of our Tamil cinema cowboy film, wherein the hero will be always rescued by a white horse from dangerous situations. A lovable movie.
I remember watching this movie in the theater when it first came out with my mom and dad when I was 9 years old. My mom was a serious Lone Ranger fan. Thanks for putting this out there to watch.

I met Jay Silverheels at a rodeo in Modesto, California around 1953. I was 3.. He reached his hand down to me. I saw the kindness in his eyes, he was wearing that buckskin outfit. I grabbed one of his fingers. I now realize he was the first person I shook hands with in my life.

Some of these were in a number of Gunsmoke TV series a lot too.
I love this film...and would it not be great if today, or years before, that the Indians and Hispanics and Black people would have such a wonder of peace and hopes...The Lone Ranger had tremendous messages championing the causes of the poor, the many who were taken advantage of and it way beyond their times.
I do not know about the Native Americans or Hispanics, but the black race heroes were real individuals but any group regardless can enjoy the Lone Ranger TV series yesterday and today.
I can still remember wore a complete outfit of a cowboy with hat and toy guns with holster when i was in grade 2.i think that was one reason why i like to watch cowboy movies

I remember listening to the radio show as well. Usually came on about the time my two older brothers got home from school.
I grew up as a kid watching these i still love them to this day they come on every saturday morning on the grit channel im only 52 but i still love them to this day
Great to have this movie,,watched all series when I was young,🤗loved them all Tonto was my favourite🤗so fascinated by him anywat got goosebumbs watching it. Loved the white Stallion,Hope they Respected the both Horses.
The last time I saw this movie, it was at a convention in Oklahoma City where I also met Clayton Moore for the first time. He also autographed a lobby card for this movie. After all these years, I still don't know if you could call him a character actor or not. I just know that it was The Lone Ranger I was talking to. Truly an elegant gentleman, the kind they don't make anymore.

I met the Indian who was in windtalkers. I have his signature.met him at a powwow at lb state in CA. He was humble and sweet. Hope powwows will come again they were awesome. Proud to say I am a quarter Navajo.

July 27, 2020 ~ Hi Yo Silver Away! Thanks for the trip back to yesteryear when Jay Silverheels & Clayton Moore along with Scout & Silver cleaned up the west one episode at a time.
There were no computers. I watched along with Dad & my brother on a 10inch screen TV in the living room. Mom was in the kitchen popping the Popcorn. Families prayed and played together in the 50s.
The Korean War was over in 54. Ike was president and all was well. Those were the days to be a kid growing up in a small town with a dog named Tippy.
Clayton Moore never gave up his mask and resented any other actor playing the Lone Ranger. Rest in Piece with Silver Chemosaby

Yep, I saw this movie when i was a kid at 8 yrs of age. Everyone was clapping their hands when the Lone Ranger appeared. My! Time really flies. He was my first screen hero.

One of my earliest memories in life, my old man sitting with me watching the lone ranger re-runs on TV in the late 70's... hearing the William Tell overture in the opening title sequence and getting excited about it is almost subliminal... I would have been 2-3 years of age, flashes of this movie are still imprinted in my sub conscious.

I loved the Lone Ranger and Tonto. They were my favorites when I was was young and now that I now that I am a senior citizen I still love them.
Good clean movies like this are very rare these days. They were my hero's then, still are today. There are no decent roll models today.

Grew up watching The Lone Ranger and Tonto on reruns in the 70's and 80's. Haven't seen them in years. Just watched the original pilot/origin story and it is even better than when I was a kid! I finally know where the MASK came from (come on - his murdered Brother's vest?!?!)!!! That is HARD! I know what Kemosabe means!! In the world we live in right now - THIS IS LIKE FRESH WATER!!!! Being good and right, leading with the heart - is about to become the NEW REBELLION!

I remember going to the cinema with my friends as an 8 year-old in 1959 to watch this film. I was even wearing a Lone Ranger mask. An exciting day for me! I recognise the old Tucson film set from so many westerns.

I saw Clayton and Jay about that same time at a grocery store in Van Nuys, CA where I grew up, not far from the mountains where they shot the series of Lone Ranger...They did a lot of remotes back then when times were safe, nice, and pleasant for all!...They were very friendly, and I got to shake their hands!...I loved watching the Lone Ranger, Cheyenne, Maverick, and Have Gun Will Travel...All those Greats are gone now, but we still have the memories!

My true lifelong heros...sat in the mezzanine of local movie house on sats all day for 50 cents every 2 hours for Lone Ranger and Tonto. They gave out mask and "silver"bullet with secret compartment! Great life then! Thank you!

I love Clayton Moore just think Pinocchio wanted to be a real boy, but still a cartoon. The lone ranger became a real man Clayton Moore how unique when you think about it. All the other Lone Ranger movies failed because Clayton Moore is the true Lone Ranger right out the pages of a book he became a real man.

Clayton Moore proves that he's not a one -trick pony with his Southern Gentleman pose. Maybe its the change of scenery from Santa Susanna to Old Tuscon that did it . Great little film.
There was lots of great old movies film at Corriganville movie ranch and the Santa Susanna mountains. I grew up just a few mile from Corriganville. Simi valley is not the same any more.

I'm 66 years old, I'll be 67, this November 19th. The very first time I saw the big screen movie, "The Lone Ranger" was when it was broadcast on WGN-TV's "Family Classics", when the show was scheduled on Friday Nights.
(Man, oh MAN! I really miss the days when WGN Channel 9 was a FUN channel to watch!)

Hello everyone I used to watch these stories of the long rangers back in my days back in the 50Th and 6Th me and my two others brother we were like 6 5 4 years old I live in Turnes Station that was the old days now we all grown up now we are in our 60Th now and we used to have a lots of fun watching tv no color t.v. just black and white but now things had changed now. Back in the 70,s this was my favorite show, wish I still had my toys, I'd be very comfortable right now.
It was good to see Tonto get more action in this movie, however I couldn’t help but noticing that one of the biggest changes compared to the TV series is that the Lone Ranger and Tonto were shooting to kill, not just shooting the gun out of the outlaw’s hands.
The Lone Ranger made a vow not to kill. He shot and killed one man and mortally wounded another in this movie. They deserved it, but still that was against the Lone Ranger Creed.

My favorite episode of the Lone Ranger was when they were riding peacefully through the plains one day and all of a sudden a huge Indian war party, about 100 warriors come charging at them on horseback, screaming war cries! The Lone Ranger says, It looks like were in for a real fight this time my friend. Tonto replies, What you mean 'we' white man?
Funny. Nothing like a qud ole Western. When I was little I used to play cowgirls and Indians. Even had a fringe jacket . Guns n bow n arrorws.too bad we had to grow up. Peace.

I'm happy Clayton Moore got to do this movie and show that he actually could act in playing the southerner. I never realized he was forced to speak just like the voice on the radio show before TV and that Lone Ranger was really monotone, deep voiced, and had incredibly almost irritating perfect diction by enunciating each word clearly and slowly. Poor Mr. Moore was forced to play the part to sound like an emotionless robotic. Poor guy.
I don'tbrememberball the details, but Clayton was actually banned from the r>ght to wear the Lone Ranger outfit. I think he would wear it to visit children's hospitals & things. The ban virtually destroyed him. HE WAS THE LONE RANGER.
