What a charming interview! It is so nice to see all three of them as real people. It is also so great to hear Ghiaurov pere and fils speak Italian so beautifully! Nicolai never really lost his Bulgarian accent, but I thought Vladimir's Italian was just beautiful - like his face :-) Isn't it interesting how the interviewer asks Mirella how her voice has changed with age, and Mirella talks about how it has gotten better? Wobble, what wobble? You gotta love her... Adorable!
Nicolai was a sweetheart and hilarious, not so much here, since he defered to his wife. Im glad they found eachother. A rare successful opera marriage!

Nicolai was a great man. Full of fun. I interviewed him years ago. He didnt feel comfortable in English, altnough his was quite good. I had an Italian translator so he spoke Italian. What a voice. What beautiful Italian!
