My AMAZING overhead TRIPOD Vanguard Alta Pro 263AP:
amzn.to/2LglBoH
I am retired and start very slow in the morning. My coffee pot is in my bathroom. I make coffee grab a biscotti, and go back to bed. Over the next 2 hours I play candy crush, watch some youtube, and check my email. I read some, and do Tony Robbins priming which is a form of meditation. I then take a walk if weather permits.
I love hearing about your routine in retirement Barb:) That sounds like one great bathroom with a coffee pot in it! Enjoy all those slow mornings you have earned;)
My former next door neighbor had a slow morning routine as well. She was also an older lady and retired. She always read the newspaper every morning while enjoying a leisurely breakfast. Then she would go out and do some gardening and just go about her day.
I love that story about your neighbor Charlene. Hoping my mornings just get slower and slower and go that direction...:)
I really enjoyed seeing your Morning Basket and routine. Thx for sharing Amanda!
Thank you Carol:) I appreciate you being here and taking time to watch and say "hi":)
Love this video so much Amanda! 🥰🙏🏼💕✨ I found it very helpful and inspiring.. I also have a morning routine that is so important to me, it just gives a whole foundation and intention for the day.., but as a mom to a little I do sometimes need to abbreviate it! I do scriptures, prayer journal, some devo’s with notes and meditation.., if time yoga. I walk my son to school everyday so the walk home is my time to exercise my body early.. I call it walking meditation as I often practice inner silence and pray during that time.. Thank you again! 🙏🏼💜🌼💕✨✨✨
Hi Sonia:) I love hearing your morning routine! And the walk back home with meditation and prayer sounds so perfect! You are an inspiration to get up and have your routine and get your little one off to school! Hugs xxx
@@AmandasFavorites thank you! We mothers must fit in “our” time within the daily schedules right? I feel a greater capacity to be present with family when I take time with God and for self care..🙏🏼💗✨ thank you for sharing again Amanda! 💕
That is very true about use being better Mother's when our cups have been filled. Hugs xxx
I love this! I have a morning routine that has taken over my kitchen table! This may be the solution! Thanks for sharing! 🎉
Oh, good! I am glad this was helpful:) Thanks for watching and taking time to share:)
Thank you so much for sharing your morning with us! I think it is so important to start the day off with a routine! It makes my day go so much better. You are so inspiring and encouraging! Thank you
Thank you Denise. I appreciate your friendship:)
I clicked on this video so fast!! I love seeing how you use your planners, journals, etc. 😊
Aw, thank you so much Sarah:) I am glad you enjoyed it!
Throughly enjoyed your video! It was a breath of fresh air and a wonderful reminder to appreciate daily blessings. Thank you for sharing your routine. You have inspired me. Continued blessings!
Thank you so much Margot. Have a wonderful week:)
I loved this video, Amanda! Thanks so much for sharing. Now everyone is going to want a morning basket! 😂
Aw, thank you Vickie:) It just helps me so much to have it altogether and no excuses having to go gather or find items I need:)
Thank you so much for sharing. A morning routine sounds so healthy, and I am taking my notebook out now to set up a low-bar routine, as well as to think of what to add to enrich my day. Thank you again for inspiration, and tips and recommendations.
I am so glad this was helpful Sue;) I love the "taking out my notebook"- since a notebook is my favorite tool! Have a good week:)
Great video, Amanda! I thoroughly enjoyed this peek into your morning basket and routine!
Thank you Sarah:)
I really enjoyed this! So comprehensive and I love that your journals are well loved. I'm also stealing your yearly habit tracker idea. That's brilliant!
Aw, thank you Melissa. I am glad you liked this video:) Have a good weekend:)
This is exactly what I want this caddy for! A morning caddy for my Bible study and devotional time. This caddy has been on my wishlist for awhile now. Thanks for posting about this. I’ll check out the Amazon options. Blessings my friend! 💝
Oh, good Karla:) I am so happy this was helpful!
Started the yearly habit tracker, having it as part as a morning routine is so easy!
Oh, good! I love hearing it's working for you too!
i don’t practice religion anymore but i really enjoyed your video! i liked seeing this more personal side and i’ve always been inspired by you since i started following these last couple of years. i also follow on instagram and i remember when your son left for his mission! gosh it’s crazy how the time passes. I just entered a new season after having my baby girl. right now my husband and i are mainly focusing on caring for her and ourselves during our time off from work so i can’t wait to get back in my regular planner. these days my planner is just a dry erase whiteboard. im still journaling here and there but as always you motivate me to stay reflective and productive! thanks for sharing!
Hey Laura:) Congratulations on your new baby girl! What an exciting and hard time all at once! Soak in all those baby snuggles bc they change so fast and the newborn days are gone before you can blink! I love how you are just making a whiteboard work for you and realizing it a new system and not stressing yourself:) Good for you Mama! I love knowing you have been around on IG so long that you saw Pierce leave on his mission!
Loved this video. I get my coffee and then I read a couple of devotionals, journal in my JMB Living, look at my personal planner for the day. I also read several pages in a self-improvement book. It really helps get my day off on the right start. I need to also do better at not checking my phone as it derails the time I dig in to these tools.
Hey Allison. I loved hearing your routine:) And yes- those phones are always calling to us and we have to be strong!
Love the video. My morning routine is similar to yours, and I started a guided meditation at the first of the year which is new for me. Watching this video, I want the Hear Him journal so going to pick that up. Thank you.
Hi Karen:) I loved learning about your morning routine! Thanks for taking time to watch and share with me:) And I think you will love the quality and prompts on the Hear Him Prayer journal:)
I love this! Thank you for sharing. I really need to get back into a morning routine. I think it would make my day flow a lot better. Not that it is not flowing but it would be a much better start!
Well I think you are doing amazing with a toddler and full time job! But I understand what you are saying;) When I had my only routine revolved around them. It worked well for me...so who's to say I should have gotten up earlier before them. I had a very early riser at like 5am for years. So I say do what works in your season and feel no pressure:)
Loved this video! Well now I NEED a “morning basket”! LOL
I love pens! They are one of my passions. I do need a pen pouch, though I do not have one of those.
I also NEED one of those yearly habit trackers!
Love my Laurel Denise, horizontal planner! I’m so glad you turned me onto her! 💙
I can’t remember if you stated this in the video or not… How long does your morning routine take? Typically?
Hi Wendy:) Thanks for being excited for this video with me:) I am so happy it was helpful and I love knowing you are liking your LD horizontal:) I would say this basket is never more than hour and many days 30 min. It really depends on how much I get into my study that morning, and how much time I have. the good news is I can do it in 15 min or an hour...Just depends on what I need that day. The 15 minute version is generally only the scripture study part;)
Thanks for sharing, very encouraging. I have a morning and bedtime routine that involves many of the same things, devotions, Bible reading, prayer, daily intentions.
I love getting to know a little about you! Thanks for taking time to share:)
This was another great video, Amanda. As you know, I have been dealing with some new health challenges. Most of my routines have gone out the window because of it. Maybe if I start slow, I can get some routines back in place. I can't remember the last time I felt in charge of my life. Thank you, as always, for all the inspiration. ❤️
Hi Diana:) Big hug XXX. I know it hasn't been easy times. Maybe trying to make some really low bar habits would help you feel more in control. sending love.
I really enjoyed this video so very much - mornings are so very special - and the morning definitely deserves its own basket! :) Thank you for sharing this with us. xoxo
Thank you Courtney:) Have a wonderful weekend;)
Thank you for sharing your Morning Basket….. I loved it! I have a Journaling Basket very similar to yours, by Everything Mary. I keep all of my leathers, clips, cards, etc to set up my monthly journals each month. I have a Scripture tray (beautiful decorative tray) that I keep next to my chair with my Bible, Scripture reading plan, a Catechism, journal, prayer cards, etc. I have the trays as well as the baskets to keep myself organized. And, so I can also keep the “low bar” routine.
Hi Pilar:) I loved hearing what you use- it's sounds lovely and calming:) Thanks for watching and taking time to share. I love how you keep everything together and close too:)
Work has been crazy lately, and I just finally got a chance to sit and watch this video. I LOVE it! Except for those expensive pencils, I have EVERY pen too, LOL. Really wish EC still had that carry all, but I found a comparable one on Amazon (first place I look for anything I see that catches my eye). I SO ENJOYED watching this video, thank you for posting it. My morning routine has consisted of grabbing coffee, brushing my teeth, feeding the critters, and getting to work (my work is time sensitive) as I usually have it waiting for me in the mornings. I would love to have the time in the mornings for a routine like yours! Thank you again for posting ☺😍🤩
I love that you have all the same same pens! LOL:) I am glad you found one on Amazon that you like;) Well it sounds like you at least get to work from home. Which is a huge plus...right?! I loved hearing your routine too:)
Hi Amanda… love the basket idea. I usually grab my piles in several trips because I’ve not been able to find a good solution to hold everything. You nailed it. Thank you! Also….. I am intrigued with your prayer journal and scripture journal. Will you PLEASE do a detailed how to video on these? Or message me on how you do this. I am struggling! Thanks
Hi Tammy:) I am glad this video was helpful:) I will try to explain a little here on my scripture study journal and prayer journal. With my scripture study journal I only write down when something hits me BIG for myself- something I need to work on, or learn, or ponder, or look up more about. Those are like lightbulb moments. I don't write in there everyday-just when something hits me. It's really personal- like the thing I need to work on/improve on or answers to a prayer that come while reading scripture. ---Now the prayer journal is one I did as a challenge to myself in 2020. I wrote a prayer everyday. Since then I haven't done it daily-but off and on...and this year I also started really trying to write down anything I felt or heard after my prayer. personal things just like in my scripture journal but they came from sitting still after my prayer. I hope that helps?! I might share more details on my spiritual Instagram account someday @oil.in.my.lamp I hope that helped some;) Have a good week!
@@AmandasFavorites Thank you so much for replying… I’ve noted and pretty sure I have some ideas now thank you for explaining. I’ve watched so many videos and have taken so many notes but when I saw yours and the simplicity of it. I was intrigued. I don’t want this journal to be about all the tabs, sections and the decorations. I want it to be powerful. Simple enough to quickly go back and follow up. You are an inspiration. Keep doing what you are doing! 🤍 Thanks again!!
Thank you Tammy:) I would never keep up with a complicated system!
I have wanted to get this EC caddy since the first time you shared it, but I didn’t buy it right away, and it’s been sold out for soooo long. I love the pockets on it, and it just looks pretty and nice. Thanks for sharing about your routines.
Hey Jenny:) I hear ya on the caddy! the moment it arrived I wanted another one because it really is so pretty! But it was already sold out that very day:( I am really hoping they get this one back in! I think this caddy in many designs could be a huge seller for them!
I agree! I’m surprised it hasn’t come back yet. Every now and then I chat with customer support, and they always say it’s coming, but they don’t know when. I know that if I buy one on Amazon instead, it will be restocked. 🤣
Thanks for sharing that Jenny;) Isn't that the truth- the minute you buy one it will be back!
Loved this video. My morning routine is really bad (straight on the phone . . . ) This was really motivating to get it sorted.
Hey Deborah:) I am so happy this video was helpful to you. Have fun with it;)
Thank you for sharing 💞
You are so welcome:) Have a nice weekend:)
Oh yes, to have mornings that just naturally occur is such a change, but such a luxury that is well earned after all these years!!
Thank you Cassandra:) It is pretty magical! LOL!
My Morning starts out getting up Make A chai latte And grab one of my notebooks and start writing While watching one of your videos on CZcams 📓🖋📲 thake you for making amazing videos ❤️💜💖💗💕💕but I also added a workout after watching CZcams and writing in my notebook
Aw, I loved hearing this Tracey:) I am glad my videos have been helpful that means so much to me. And good for you for adding in a workout! Have a great week;)
Can you tell me where that habit tracker is from?
Great video ❤
It's free if you subscribe to the Elise Joy newsletter: www.elisejoy.com/newsletter There is the link for that;) Have a good week!
I'm tempted to have a journal/book basket for each room! Like i use X or Y journal or book in X or Y room etc...and A and B journal/book in D or Z room...I'm thinking a bag for each room...so i don't carry my book bags journals everywhere #baglady haha
Hey Meghan:) I love that idea. I say do whatever works for you! Having a 2 story house that totally makes sense to me;)
Thank you for sharing. This is a cool basket. I like the idea New Testament Made Easy, but I just got the journal one and don't need both...I don't think. Haha.
Hey:) If the journal version has all the scripture and commentary in it then you definitely don't need both:) I think the journal edition is a great idea. I did see that this year- but decided to stick with just the normal version because I have used it for years.
@@AmandasFavorites it doesn't have commentary, just space for writing in the margins. But maybe I can find the commentary online.
Oh, interesting- so there are no teaching points? Just the scriptures printed in there with margins?
@@AmandasFavorites yup.
I've been watching/listening to your videos for a while now, and just learned my son's name is Pierce too!! ❤️
Ah! I love knowing that. It was my maiden name and that's why we used it;)
@@AmandasFavorites Pierce is my mother's maiden name. 😉
LOVE that! How cool we have that in common.
Are the tip in cards specific to LDS?
I don't believe so- I need to check tomorrow morning when I am downstairs. I am in bed on my mac just answering comments right now. Let me get back to you! Hang tight;)
I looked them over and I don't see anything specific to LDS in the ones I flipped through and read. It really is just covering the New Testament King James version of the bible.
⭐🌟You get a gold star for using the entire church's name! I would so be your BFF if I knew you in person!💕
Awwww:) Thank you:)
