@@PeteTheGrouch The Loki series is highly rated, both critically and by the audience, for everything from soundtrack to visual effects to the characters and the depth of character relationships you couldn't really fully pursue in the 2 hour single-film format, to the acting to the writing. Even people who were hating on the idea of a Loki series like it was a cash-grab on a beloved character have been eating their words and admitting they were wrong, and that this series is one of the best things Marvel has put out, especially of late. Loki has been elevated, in terms of his character depth, to a level far beyond anything we've seen before. And beyond that, the MCU is moving from universal threats like Thanos to multi-versal threats like Kang: that is why the infinity stones were shown in their deactivated state outside their home universes. The first 'impossible' feat is setting up a new villain after having finished a story with an ultimate villain, Thanos, that it took years to set up: they did that, considering how well Kang/He Who Remains/ etc. was received. And they have also taken their MCU fully into the most insane territory explored in the comics, parallel alternative versions of every hero, multiversal threats, etc. stuff that makes talking racoons and aliens and sorcerers all seem normal, just everyday stuff, nothing strange at all-- a second impossible feat; something nobody thought could possibly be done in live action cinema and television: but they've done it. Your little quip was written for shock value, ironically enough, because you're a little grift trying to be edgy by attempting to rebuke a highly rated series with basically nothing for criticism. You're a waste of words. I'm all for criticism but I doubt you have any valid criticism of the series.

And also, Ross is unreasonable. He refused to believe Tony when he was told that Zemo was the real culprit. What makes others think that he would listen that Thanos is dangerous. Ross's actions show that he easily undermines an even dangerous threat in his universe. So I do not trust Ross is simply going to leave the Avengers alone even after he was resurrected with the other half in the universe and the Avengers defeated Thanos.

I also appreciate the brilliance of Robert Downey Jr.'s acting in this scene, because you can see in his heart of hearts he's absolutely _terrified_ and struggling on the outside to look calm and clever, and just "think" his way out of it like he does with all of his other problems. You're seeing a man having to confront his own weakness. When we see him post Thanos round 1, he's almost given up all hope.
"Can't think your way out of everything Tony, sometimes it's just a slog and there's no guarantee any of it will even be worth it in the end. Maybe you just fail, that's part of some stories too." That's what's going through his mind when he asks "...what's his name again...".
You can hear that waver in his voice as he struggles to stay in the moment and not in his own head.
