If you wanted to make Ssamjang(paste sauce), i know a common recipe people in korea use. here it is:
1) mix Gochujang(red pepper paste, 1/3 of spoon) and Deounjang(bean paste, 1/1 of spoon). The point is the ratio is 1:3. if you did it right, the color will be in orange.
2) chop 1/4 of a white onion and put it into 1). if you have green onion, you can also chop and add the white part (about 1 inch) of it too.
3) put water (1/2 of spoon) and sesami oil (1/3 of spoon) and put sugar (1/3 of spoon) and then, mix those all together.
4) it will taste very similar when you go to korean bbq place. but if you want to add more stuff, you can add crushed almonds or a bit amount of chopped garlic.
5) the texture has to be somewhat thick. if yours is too watery, then add red pepper powder to make it thick.

Idk about the mainland but here in Hawaii there’s a place called Gen and it’s like a Asian/Korean meat place. It’s like a all you can eat for 2 hours, and it’s like 20$ per person. There’s calby, jumbo shrimp, all types of any meat you can imagine. There’s free refills of rice too. It’s amazing.

Hey Q!! I noticed you have some heat damage on your table (the white circles). I recently learned a trick to make them go away! You put a cloth or sheet down on the table and use an iron (with out the steam) and iron the cloth directly on the table. Do not let the iron sit though. Keep it gliding around the area you need fixed.

U should do batayaki, kina similiar to this dish. Paper thin cuts of steak, any vegtables u want, usually mushroom, brussel sprouts, chinease cabbage. Shrimp, scallops, squid & the sauce is soy sauce with lemon juice with gradded daikong inside. It's a childhood memorie my japanese grandma made for me when i was younger.

Approved by Korean. Nice job. Try eating with 깻잎 next time if you can get one. Also adding some mushroom to the grill is pretty common. Plus, when making 쌈, you can get the lettuce upside-down for the sake of texture. And the reason 쌈 is meant to be had in one bite is in order to fill your mouth full and feel the rich flavour through whole mouth. Pretty much the same as having a bite of hamburger. The bigger the bite, the better it tastes! And adding some small amount of rice to your 쌈 is also very very recommended!
