Song: “Star Spangled Banner” Traditional
Our VRF Grab Bags (GB) videos are compiled from content from our cameras as Mods and fans spot something neat while watching our cameras. In the GB you will, of course, find a variety of TRAIN content, special trains, maintenance, steam, diesels, interesting rail cars, cool paint schemes and more. You will also find fun people, city events, boats, planes, cars (sometimes going wild) and nature. Thank you for taking the time to sit back and enjoy these highlight reels that we call "Grab Bags"!
13:20 no fabric can can show us what we have compared to this. Thank you VRF and thank you to the men and women who have fought to make our flag so special. God bless you.
We fought to keep this Country free and will continue to do so. The Flag represents the Freedoms we enjoy that no other place on Earth enjoys.
Chokes me up every time. ❤
Some of us are old enough to remember when TV stations used to sign on and sign off everyday with the National Anthem.
50 years ago I was NAVY. Now every patriotic tune chokes me up. Thanks for the tribute.
You are still NAVY. Thank you.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ENDING !!!! I salute you all but most importantly I salute OUR flag.... the greatest of all.. THANK YOU !!!!!
Beautiful ending. God Bless Our Servicepeople!
13:20 What a way to end a Grab Bag by honoring our many men and women that have had made sacrafices to protect and serve our country! Virtual Railfan, this Grab Bag is my top favorite. I'm 21 right now and I always thank veterans who have fought to protect our faithful flag! #ThankYouForYourService from me and have a happy holidays!
Wow! Great catching all the trains, especially the military trains, heritage units, the Star-Spangled banner, and more, @Virtual Railfan, thank you.
Great tribute to our flag!
USA! USA! USA!
One of the best video 📹 endings you guys have ever, ever ❤ DONE!!!👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Hats off to the person operating the forklift while rerailing that hopper car. But that was a close call with the person at 6:44 standing in front of the hopper car while being moved.
A similar act, walking right in front of moving car, happened at this location on VR some time ago.
I liked the scene at Skykomish @5:35. Some good Freight Roster Rarities again tonight, including the Corinth & Counce boxcar at Covington, thanks VRF.
Great finish thank you VRF
Very nice piano arrangement for our national anthem! God bless us all. 🇺🇸
Thanks for all the beautiful scenes, panoramas, and towns your cameras capture.
Great ending. Thank you to all that serve to keeping us free
Great grab bag
Thanks Virtual Railfan airing and sharing these and other plethora of outstanding videos. Your exertions are appreciated. Bliss
Excellent grab bag. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Awesome grab bag!
Super nice Video 👍Thumbs Up 👍
Loved, loved, loved the ending honoring our military and first responders. The Corinth and Counce boxcar is a hometown boxcar. I live between both Corinth, Ms and Counce, Tn
That's great to know; I wondered. But how do you pronounce the name of the town in Tennessee? Does it rhyme with cool or with couch? Thanks!
@@donnaj9964 ounce but just add a C
@@genegober2666 Thank you so much!
USA, USA!!! Thank you, great job!!!
God bless america and the railroad 😊
I always enjoy the Loram grinders, and this time I liked the geese having a stopover in Fort Madison--but I loved that beautiful montage at the ending. Thank you!
Oh wow
VR, your grab bags grab at our hearts. God, Country, Mom, apple pie, hot dogs and TRAINS. TY. 🇺🇸💪o7
Amazing ending. I salute all the folks for doing amazing work. 🖖
*Nice Catches*
Omg BEST ENDING EVER! That was fantastic, Thank You Virtual Railfan! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Hello to all you people in La Grange. Mike from New Zealand.
0:55 Hi-rail truck with ballast cars
2:07 NS 1069 leading solo
2:55 a boxcar from a railroad I never heard of!
3:27 first snowplow job of the season at Revelstoke. Only one spreader instead of two
4:02 the Amtrak switchers again.
4:27 I'm glad Virtual Railfan has become so important to La Grange, it has an ornament on the town's Christmas tree
4:55 extra Spuerliner in front of the baggage on the Empire builder
5:15 old Santa Fe white cylindrical hopper, like the one in the big Bachmann set
5:27 BN coil car
5:50 the empty hopper gets derailed when being switched in Waupaca. A forklift rerails it.
7:18 MOW vehicles crossing the Mississippi
8:00 new yellow CPKC autoracks! I'm still surprised the only regular equipment to have the CPKC logo are autoracks and containers. Everything else is either experimental or non-revenue publicity trains
8:30 CSX 1850 trailing
8:48 I thought he was just going to park at first!
9:30 a Genesis with a patched-out number with the Amtrak logo untouched, a CT Rail Genesis, and a horizon car on the Lake Shore Limited
9:45 6-unit lash-up of all older EMD power
10:56 BN green SD40-2
11:34 Loram grinder working at night closeup!
12:13 Viewliner Baggage-dorm on the Pennsylvanian!
12:27 KCS 4859 as mid-train DPU
2:55 Corinth & Counce Railroad Company.... I've never heard of it either.
That was a good one!
Thanks for such a beautiful ending 🇺🇸🚂
Nice Video!
🌹🌲🇮🇳🌲🌹
Another awesome collection of trains I love what you put in at the end of the video God bless America and God bless the Virtual Railfan Camera Crew
Nice. GOD bless America.
"I beat the train! Haw haw!"
Some people just enjoy playing russian roulette, too.
Great ending!
Seeing those Bradley's made me think of when we went to Grafenwohr or REFORGER it was take the tracks to railhead. Sometimes we would travel with the track vehicles and sometimes we bussed to those areas, but the track vehicles always went to railhead.
The number of derailments VRF captures shows that even w/today's excellent track maintenance they do happen more often than we think. Makes me wonder what we would've seen back the "deferred maintenamce" era.
It wasn't maintenance issue on this one just mistake happened
I grew up in the 70s next to penn central tracks a company that had no idea what track maintenance was Im amazed we didn't have a derailment every day.
@@alcomankyle Were they using the forklift to move the car when it derailed?
No they weren't only used it to rerail
@@alcomankyle Ok thanks.
A+ VRF, nicely done.
6:30. If that's that company moving that car, they saved a lot of money. I thought sure they were going to have to call rj corman ❤❤❤❤
And could have lost a worker who was allowed to carelessly walk right in front of the car, on slick snow/ground, when the fork lift got it moving 6:44!
love your video's one of the best renditions of the Star Spangled Banner I have heard, would like to know who did it.
Epidemics Music listed it as "Traditional". Visit their website. If I find out more I will post it here.
Salute.
Beautiful, O'Can You See🇺🇲❤
Hello 🚂 Friends👋🏻So glad I got to see this just got home & got the notification🤭
9:53 an SD60B on the mainline? I've only seen them on hump-sets in places like Galesburg IL...
I remember those cars before they had graffiti 👍
I like the ending....
Remember to do it again end of May, 4th of July, perhaps even Veterans Day...
Also, June 6, 2024, marks the 80th anniversary of D-Day....
Great ending to remind us to protect our democracy!
Great video 👍
Another award winning day in La Grange. Not only did you have the knucklehead seen in this video but there was also a car vs. train incident about an hour and a half ag.
Nice brand spanking new autoracks
It won't be long until they get tagged.
Great montage! hats off and wave to the editors!
Great GB ! Dedicated To Pearl Harbor! 🇺🇸
3:00 When I see “CCR”, I think “Fortunate Son” and The Dude-
-or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.
I saw that shot with CSX 1850 as it happened live.
Hi Guys👋🏻Nice Puppers🐶
You missed a crew wave at Ashland😢. A Northeast Regional going north, it was sunday I think
Thank you for national anthem! Long may she wave!
Need a safety meeting at 6:42
Yep, before someone gets a new safety rule named for them.
A similar act, stepping in front of a moving car, happened at this location in a previous VR video.
That made me nervous too!
Hi. This was a specially pleasant video. Can you tell us what the long train in Chatanooga was pulliing? Two sets of cars that would seem to carry some sort of panels. About 15:40 in. Thanks.
That is continuously welded rail. CWR is smoother and requires less maintenance.
5:45 - And I thought that only happened on my home layout??
0:57 Look in the background, Alfred Hitchcock's worst nightmare!
Thanks for the recap VRF! For future videos, please consider adding a warning before showing the blinking light in Wichita at night.
I've been thinking it'll be pretty awesome to see a live camera of a hump yard in action
13:06 Neon White Light USA Flag Tribute
hello virtual railfan & it's is randy and i like yours video is cool thanks virtual railfan thanks friends randy
At 6:06, that car isn't just on the ground; it looks like it's missing the inner wheel set on that truck.
Oh, here we go again...the deranged of La Grange!
And that poor engineer.
heh looks like a BN Coil Car escaped getting into the brown BNSF
well grain hoppers is what I see in BN alot but any other cars is getting rare-er these days
CT Rail's logo looks abit Pac-Man-ish you know
I liked seeing the train with army tanks
on the cars going through Fort Madison
and the train going through my home state of Oklahoma in OKC as well as the other great trains going through the countryside and Thank You very much
Virtual Rainfan Grab Bag.❤❤❤❤❤
🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲🇨🇦💨
Just saw something that has nothing to do with this video. Was going from Beloit, Wi to South Beloit, Il and saw a Cotton
Belt loco on some feeder tracks. Don't know who they belong to. Maybe Wisconsin and Southern. The old thing is a long way from the original home.
Union Pacific tracks
11:03 A railroad name so nice, it had to be lettered twice... Or, did the two-person paint shop crew get the how-to manual wrong?
When are they going to fix the lights in Wichita? 😊
9:32 CT Rail actually had a real Pac Man on it eating a red dot and no wacka-wacka. What?
Is this a first in recent time? Revelstoke plow engines are not Packman livery.
9:00 car on tracks
Pardon my ignorance! What is the thing at around 12:00 throwing all the sparks? As per a previous comment, called a grinder...but what is its purpose?
It's a LORAM rail grinder, it grinds and reprofiles the rail from multiple angles.
@@jfjr992 Rad! What a cool piece of machinery! Thanks for the info 😁
What was the number on the p42 in front of ct rail?
06:18 lifting a railcar by the axle is absolutely not the right way to have fixed the problem.
6:00 car splits switch
Hey, you birdies, go home n go to sleep! Or should I call you night owls since you're up past sundown!?😊
Time To Not Show Much More Mil-Move, perhaps? Paranoid? Long Memory.
there should be an IQ test required to obtain a drivers license in USA
The military equipment makes for interesting loads, but it also makes me sad that the world can't get along any better than that. - and don't be naive, the US is not guiltless in causing death and destruction around the world.
Scenic in BC with the snow fall, VA EMD SD70ACE on the point in Roanoke VA, 👍!🇺🇲🛤🚂
