Facts
This guy ain't cappin
Yea that's cuz the people that would jam to this music are now ghosts đđ
**sad ghost noises**
we need music like this again
spicy.chick23 Exactly, just thing if we replaced modern day's terrible rap and pop and bring back the classic swing the world would be much better.
listening to this type of music reminds me of the music in Fallout and my times going to disney and watching old disney, looney toons from the 30s and 40s it's just cool
Swing dancing needs to be a popular thing again, it's freaking cool xD
I know someone that teaches it. I may see if she would be willing to do a Live Broadcast showing it. Would you like that?
My grandparents used to like this music, i miss them so im here
this got me at a fancy table drinking wine and listening to this
I was born in 1977 and for some reason love listening to this music since I was a child. I grew up watching movies from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. I especially loves the 30s and dreamed of having one of those cars when I was old enough to drive. Little did I understand that they are expensive not only for value but upkeep and gas mileage! I dreamed going on a date in my 3 piece suit and fedora hat and my date dressing in the same period attire! Just pop on the AM radio and dance drinking Martini's! ( Though alcohol was illegal at the time but work with me here!) ... But I'm still dreaming!
Jeenkz K born in 1993 and still loving the music and the style and aera.... know what you mean :D
so glad to be able to experience the music at here...
Same here Jeenkz K, I am about 10 years older than you but same thing as a child. My older brother use to call me a reject from the past.
Thank you for watching Lilly and stay tuned for the Live Stream shows with a theme starting In August 2018
Good stuff from a terrific era in music!
+Joe Cro Welcome and thanks for watching
original is much better, handmade.
original is way better, but electro is cool to...
Joe Cro
Grammophone swing 1930 yeah, but the beats are heartless
Why does this music have a sort of underlying eerie and uncomfortable tone?
When I listen to this stuff, it gives me memories I never even knew I had...
great music then and now .
How are you doing James? Hope all is well and you are still tuning in. Staring in August 2018 the show will be going to more Live Streams. Hope to hear from you and thank you for watching!
OH! THESE ARE WONDERFUL BOB! People think that the Rock And Roll came out in the 1950s! But I have heard the term as early as the Mid 1920s!! " If I Should Loose You" By Isham Jones is FANTASTIC! Also "Ah! But I`ve Learned" just AWESOME!
I like Ah But I've Learned best by George Olsen.
OH! Yes Indeed!

Why couldn't I be born in this era?
Detrone Johnson Because you'd be struck with war and illness, but the good part you'd want to be in.
M. Vonel so would I.
I was, and today seems as though i am on an alien planet. My 8th grade reader is at college level today, per prof buddies. No big band sound. Knew Pete Fountain and Al Hirt. Real gentlemen, super artosts, pkayed great Dixieland jazz. Society is in rapid decline in general. Not just in USA.
Love it.
I'm asking myself why i like jazz and swing music--
A wonderful mix as usual!!

why do people hit the dislike button on such master class ?? for the love of God i cant figure out human beings
I think there may be a few reasons. One may be that they really don't like the music. Two, it could be a competing channel, stupid in my opinion. It's more likely to be discovered if more people post or share it. Also, the real reason for the thumbs up and down buttons isn't what most people think. The buttons were created to help the content creators provide content that the viewers would like. CZcams likes to see interaction and a thumbs up or down is interaction. To them up or down is good as it means people have engaged with the video. If the video is getting a lot of thumbs down then it helps the content creator know that they need to fix the issue. However, I think a thumbs down should require a reason or it really doesn't help the creator since they don't know the issue. Thank you for watching the channel too!
Gracias por el legado
Gracias por mirar y eres bienvenido. A partir de agosto de 2018, el canal harĂĄ shows regulares de transmisiĂłn en vivo. Espero que todavĂa estĂ©s viendo!
Our adult son found old big band music on his video game. Now I'm schooling him in it. Just send him your video he wants to learn. You just never know what your kids are going to be into later in life
Lots of music on this channel and on the KPAX41 channel. Please subscribe if you haven't already. It is very much appreciated, thank you.
This isn't what they played on Hot Jazz Saturday Night⊠but it's close enough. What was WAMU thinking when they canned the program and moved to all-talk? Some people don't want to hear others speak, they want to hear music that isn't usually played.
EDIT: I have found out that Hot Jazz Saturday Night is back. Thank christ.
Sensationnel: Joie et Bonne Humeur + romance = Merci beaucoup!
Amo Ă©sta mĂșsica "viva la buena mĂșsica "

You are welcome and thank you for watching!
Hope you are watching still, starting in August there will be regular Live Stream shows.
Nice series of 1930s goodies.
This is one of the top 5 on the channel.
Back when men were made of steel and ships made of wood. I love reggae music (huge collection), Cambodian rock, and big bands from the 30s and 40s! Nice to see teenagers dissing current music and respecting this genre..proves they have a brain and they don't like what Hollywood force feeds them. There might be hope for the world yet!
Music : Who can live without it
Aage in Vancouver
Well they did have steel ships even used earlier in WWI but yeah!
Used to be broadcast engr and dj. Would love to do a Sunday or sat night show based on 78's swing and jazz from 30' and 40's FM only today. Maybe AM too in AZ and FL where many live who were yoing at the end of the era, and had Mom's records and heard this music in home. Not just nostalgia, great music in its own right.

Greetings and thank you for watching! I hope your dinner entertainment was satisfactory!
Veronique hope all is well! Just a heads up but the channel is going through a transitional period now. If you use FaceB then may want to sub or follow there as well. Thank you for being such a loyal viewer too!

Hello pax41. It is my pleasure. I really enjoy following you. I like your taste in music and what you're uploaded to youtube. Keep up the good work!
+Joe Cro Glad to hear it Joe and stayed tune since I have many more selections to post.
Terrific stuff, all -- quite upbeat in general tone. The highlight of Crosby's "Pinch Me" is, for me, Irving Fazola's clarinet solo; such a beautiful sound he had. My favorites are the Hopkins and Hayes. I agree, "Laughing at Life" is a great tune. Have you heard Billie Holiday's version? McKinney's Cotton Pickers' is also good.
*****
Anyone who has the idea that '30's-'40's music is dark/somber, is clearly not well acquainted with it. It was in part because times were difficult during that evolving period -- first the Great Depression and then WWII -- that big band music was aimed at providing a happy escape. Swing, which chronologically followed jazz and incorporated some of its elements, had by nature a tremendous amount of youthful energy, but the fact that it thrived during this period reflects the belief among those in the record industry that this upbeat music was the antidote to despond that the record-buying public sought. To speak of the whole period, the '30's through the '40's, though, it must be noted that the music evolved -- partly because of the leanings of the musicians themselves and partly in response to world events: In the '30's and early '40's the high-spirited "killer dillers" as they were called, allowed people to forget the hard economic conditions they faced. Later, as young men were going off to war, romantic and sentimental --but, by no means, "dark" -- records, often featuring vocalists, become more popular, as they expressed the feelings of the many families who were affected in profound ways by the war, Music such as what can be found at this channel can be enjoyed on strictly musical terms, but it can be fascinating, too, to delve into its historical context, which in part informed its development.

sub. mate, these are just very nice mixes you've picked, very nice indeed.

Wonderful! When you could dress nice go out and dance to great music. Have small collection. Goodman, glen gray, dolly dawn, dorsey, count basie, fred waring with crosby, in mostly unplayed bakelite 78s. Karl wa2kbz radio
I have a pretty extensive collection Karl and a friend of mine has shared copies of his collection as well for me to post. You would be a great source of information Karl and probably know all the rules and regulations required in order to broadcast. Internet radio is the way to go now since fewer people listen to regular radio anymore. Hope to hear from you more sir.

this came from bioshock???
They use this music in bioshock but these songs are the originals. Bioshock just went ahead and used it in their games. It would be interesting to know what made them do that.

Oh I could really make the music swing like you wouldn't believe. I have to fight the copyright claims so much it's a pain. I just realized that is why people have been able do download my posts.
