This is 1999 all over again.I miss Jason and Liz.They were the main reason why i started watching General Hospital.But once the writers flipped the script, I stopped watching the show.
I love when they had Jason an Liz but now I can't seem to watch it can't understand what the writers have done to some of the people Like liz can't believe they put her with Franco liz should be with someone else of single. Fake Jason(Drew) needs to stay with Sam. These two were GH couple gold. Too bad Frons wanted to kill GH instead of build it up. His agenda, his forcing of Jasam, killing Jake, trying to fire Becky, firing TC, all backfired on him. He almost did ruin the show. Becky and Steve will always be one of the great star crossed love couples of the soap world.

That's funny cause I started out as a JaSam fan (started watching 2003-2005 and then 2009-2014...university and then kids stopped the regular watching) so I never really saw Liason but read tons about how they were always meant to be but I never witnessed it because they really didnt have any screen time except in 2012 before SBu left. During the pandemic I did a deep dive into early GH starting with Jason Q becoming Jason Morgan and went from there. As a fan of JaSam I thought I would not find his other relationships as interesting/loving/fun but I loved him with Robin. I also felt for him as he fell for Liz in late 1999-2001 but she was always off limits because of her grieving and then because Lucky came back from the dead. I wanted to murder Liz in 2002 when she chose super annoying Zander over him but he was still there for her even though It pained him to see her with Zander. I thought to myself, he clearly loves her because NO ONE would put themselves through this unless all they wanted was for the other to be happy AND you would only do that if you LOVED someone more than yourself. When they abruptly ended and he was guarding Courtney, she would push him about his feelings for Liz and he said he couldn't be with her because she deserved not be hurt anymore and that if she chose to be with him she would regret it. He said he wanted her to be happy. He really didn't stop feeling for her, he was doing what he thought she wanted and that was to be free of this 'mob life'. He moved on from Liz and dated Courtney and while he did all these grand things like fight Sonny to be with her I felt that pairing fell flat. Enter Sam, they were super sweet and their story was a bit forced like Courtney ( in that they were suddenly pushed together by Sonny) but definitely had a more natural progression. I thought they were great, their devotion to her baby, their mourning and their endless adventures kept things interesting but they constantly had some kind of obstacle like every soap couple. By 2006 I started to think that maybe the adventures kind of distracted from the fact that maybe without the hurdles they weren't that interesting as a couple. I started to think this when they started to bring Liz into the picture in 2006. The crazy thing about Liz and Jason is that they are never doing anything interesting...they are just talking on the docks or at the hospital. Their interactions are always sporadic and short but I really felt like they said so much is such short periods of time. They somehow naturally just blurted out what was bothering them when they had struggled with the thoughts for ages before. They respected the others advice, were grateful and then moved on....the crazy thing was that I was invested in those random conversations....maybe more so than the equally mundane conversations between Sam and Jason. It also became evident to me that he really felt for Liz as she struggled with Lucky's accident and following addiction. He genuinely wanted to help her and make her life easier. He clearly sees her as a friend. When Jason started to push Sam away I kinda felt dread about Liz, that she would be the one that came between them but I'll be honest, it felt natural for them to rely on each other. They always met on the docs in the early days, they always unloaded on each other. She ALWAYS talked to him about her issues with Lucky. None of this felt contrived for invented by the writers to push them together. As I watched it all unfold I didn't feel like she stole him but that maybe her presence reminded him of how he cared about her before, how he felt before he moved on with Courtney. Maybe those feeling never really left for either of them and that is what I saw when they came together for the NOP. After that I think those feelings lived very close to the surface and then the pregnancy brought then out. Since then it was a fight for them to not have those feelings and try to salvage their broken relationships. Had I not watched their history I think it would feel forced. I also feel that this era really did prove that Liz is the constant, the cherished one, the trusted one, the honest one, the lasting one. The fact that they don't say what they feel...they have never done that. They have always wanted the other to be happy and even though they have been wrong about what the others wants, their intentions are always pure. I remember JaSam fans saying that he never loved Liz until Jake but their history and this storyline in 2006 shows that his feeling for her mirror those of 1999-2002 because the way he acts is the same, the way he holds her gaze is the same and the way his eyes start to light up when they are together. They are not the couple that declares their love verbally or physically. They are the couple that gives the best they can to the other is whatever way the other needs and never expects anything in return. They loved each other in an unspoken way in the early days and they are doing it now. This kind of relationship is so hard not to get behind. This is when I started to think my love for JaSam was because I had not witnessed Liason. I vibe more with Jason and Liz because they just feel so deeply and I wholeheartedly believe every scene. They don't need the adventures. They don't even need words to make me feel their connection. Maybe I'm just an old soul and I don't need the grand displays of affection. But I honestly have fallen in love with this couple. I still enjoyed JaSam but I agree with you, these 2 have 'it" a love that endures whether they are together or not. Things were pretty much over with Sam (he even said as much when he told liz that when sam was staying with Alexis during her chemo stages). In Jason's mind, him and Sam were pretty much ending, and that gave Jason the opportunity to let liz in and feel those feelings he tried so hard to keep buried for her over the years.
This is history revisited... coming back to Elizabeth's studio, their special place where it all started from when Elizabeth found Jason in the snow after he was shot back in 1999. This is why #Liason is so special and true -- BECAUSE while EVERYONE tries to come between them, they ALWAYS find a way back to EACH OTHER. #LIASON IS FOREVER AND ALWAYS.

As I rewatch this clip, I get more and more angry at Sunny with how he treated Elizabeth. For someone who was so grateful to Elizabeth who saved Jason‘s life, he sure didn’t act like it after whenKate got shot and he was basically yelling at her to look at Kate because that was the life that she would be living if she was with Jason. And he also gave Jason the same lecture. I love how even through Jason‘s pain, he said to Elizabeth “I trust you. “ I also loved how gently he said “you saved my life. “ these two need to be together. I wish the riders hadn’t always thrown Elizabeth under the bus just for Jasam be together.

i feel like jason wants and needs to be with liz but can't. and i think that's why they always meet bc they're so drawn to each other. liz is so caring and nurturing and jason found that in liz. no matter who he is with, liz will always be "that" person who he cherishes deeply. you can see it in his eyes and body.

I so agree, he really does cherish her. so much is conveyed in such a simple gesture of how they hold hands. this is classic Liason, they always, always, reach for each other and hold hands so gently but yet so strong. 12spingirl Now he has amnesia and still remembers Liz in a way. And he took his son's name Jake. For him, it feels familiar when people will find out who Jake really is Jason. Watch out Carly and Sam will so jealous of the fact that Jake/Jason is so comfortable with her. They have a strong bond and those women are jealous of that. I'm still mad Jake is dead and Sam has Jason's baby.

I swear, RH is still one of the most absolute beautiful actresses of all time. SB actually said this too. He said that she's even more gorgeous in person and seems to truly adore her. I remember when she came on the GH scene as a very young woman (teenager, maybe?) They treated her like the plain, less attractive sister to Sarah. I remember thinking "Are they nuts? This girl is stunning!" It was kind of like Joey on Dawson's Creek - nobody ever saw plain and average (just because they were the brunettes, maybe?)
Elizabeth is a scrub nurse, she's assisted in far more complicated surgeries, assisting Patrick on all kinds of brain and spinal surgeries. and she would know w/out Jason reassuring her that it did not hit an artery.

Every time I watch one of these videos, it makes me want to scream......at the writers. Like what hell was wrong with those idiots why they would destroy this amazing couple. I think it was a disservice to the fans and to the actors also. Obviously , they put a lot into creating these characters and cultivating their amazing chemistry and all so the relationship could be literally written off. I just don't get it.

Jason has always loved Liz, he just didn't know how to express it back then, even when he was with Courtney. When Jason was saying all that about Liz he also mentioned Robin. He told Courtney that Robin was the one who fell out of love with him first, but actually Robin tried to talk to Jason and fix things with him the day they broke up, HE was the one who sent her home. He also told Courtney that the day Robin betrayed him and the day they broke up, was the day that he stopped loving her. But yet he told Liz, and this was way before he ever met Courtney, he said to Liz when she asked him how long did it take for him to get over Robin, "I wasn't really keeping track. I had so many other things to think about and when Robin was gone, that helped. You see I didn't know who I was if I didn't love Robin. I thought she'd leave and there'd be this emptiness inside me forever, but I was wrong. It hurt, it hurt worse than anything for a while, but it fades and you remember that there are other things to live for, other people. You remember there's stuff that you wanna do and things you want to feel, and eventually you just realize the pain is gone. At least that's how it happened for me." He told the truth to Liz and just plain straight up lied to Courtney. As for Liz, he just wasn't able to say it back then. If he didn't love her and just liked her, he wouldn't have had to correct himself, he would have just flat out said I like you with no hesitation. He loved her, he just couldn't really express it back then because he didn't know how to, but he's ALWAYS loved Liz WAY before she ever got pregnant with Jake. He asked Liz if she had ever thought about the past and what it would have been like if they had gotten together, when he first left PC and asked her to go with him, or if she ever thought about actually making to Italy. She said yes, and asked him if he did too. He said of course he did. He said he tried not to let himself, but then he'd go to some church or a museum and see an amazing painting and he'd think of her. So tell me, if he didn't love her, why would he think of her whenever he'd see those things, or think of her when he tried not to. It's because he DID LOVE her, and always has, he just wasn't able to say it the right way. He even told her at one point that she made him see things that he never even noticed until she pointed them out to him. She was able to make him see things like pictures and have dreams, when his brain normally wouldn't see them anymore. Without Liz Jason wouldn't have been able to do half the stuff he does now, like dream, see pictures and paintings, or believe in stuff he normally wouldn't have. She helped make Jason who he is today. Him and Liz have more history and a connection together than Sam ever could.

Amanda Lugo lol Jason pretty much said the same thing to Courtney when he was with her. He said something along the lines of "I love you more than anything." Don't exactly remember the lines, too long ago, and not a Courtney/Jason fan. Jason loves whoever he is with wholeheartedly. Whoever Jason was with, he'd love them with everything and say the same things. Like for example he said to Sam, when he "remembered" everything, he said to her that it felt right and familiar, LOL he said the same EXACT thing to Liz before either of them knew his true identity. Liz and Jason actually felt connected to each other and actually fell in love with each other BEFORE either of them knew who he really was. That is love. He couldn't remember who he was, and she didn't know who he was at the time, and yet he still fell for her, and she for him. He remembered things about Liz and had flashes of her when he first layed eyes on her. He remembered a little about her, and even a little about their son. He NEVER did that with Sam until WAY later. If he was truly destined with Sam, he would have at least felt something for her, other than a friend. He never even looked at Sam lovingly until way later. But whatever, you like your couples and I like mine.

It was until 06 and the night they finally slept together that Jason could for once really open up and let liz in. Things were pretty much over with Sam (he even said as much when he told liz that when sam was staying with Alexis during her chemo stages).
In Jason's mind, him and Sam were pretty much ending, and that gave Jason the opportunity to let liz in and feel those feelings he tried so hard to keep buried for her over the years.

As I rewatch this clip, I get more and more angry at Sunny with how he treated Elizabeth. For someone who was so grateful to Elizabeth who saved Jason‘s life, he sure didn’t act like it after whenKate got shot and he was basically yelling at her to look at Kate because that was the life that she would be living if she was with Jason. And he also gave Jason the same lecture. I love how even through Jason‘s pain, he said to Elizabeth “I trust you. “ I also loved how gently he said “you saved my life. “ these two need to be together. Watch out Carly and Sam will so jealous of the fact that Jake/Jason is so comfortable with her. They have a strong bond and those women are jealous of that. I swear, RH is still one of the most absolute beautiful actresses of all time. SB actually said this too. He said that she's even more gorgeous in person and seems to truly adore her. I remember when she came on the GH scene as a very young woman (teenager, maybe?) They treated her like the plain, less attractive sister to Sarah. I remember thinking "Are they nuts? This girl is stunning!" It was kind of like Joey on Dawson's Creek - nobody ever saw plain and average (just because they were the brunettes, maybe?)
Elizabeth is a scrub nurse, she's assisted in far more complicated surgeries, assisting Patrick on all kinds of brain and spinal surgeries. and she would know w/out Jason reassuring her that it did not hit an artery.

I think it was a disservice to the fans and to the actors also. Jason has always loved Liz, he just didn't know how to express it back then, even when he was with Courtney. When Jason was saying all that about Liz he also mentioned Robin. And everything he told Courtney about Robin was just a straight up lie too. He told Courtney that Robin was the one who fell out of love with him first, but actually Robin tried to talk to Jason and fix things with him the day they broke up, HE was the one who sent her home. He also told Courtney that the day Robin betrayed him and the day they broke up, was the day that he stopped loving her. But yet he told Liz, and this was way before he ever met Courtney, he said to Liz when she asked him how long did it take for him to get over Robin, "I wasn't really keeping track. Another perfect example of that is back in 2002 when Liz was in the hospital after the crypt explosion when she and Zander had been taken. Jason visited her in the hospital and started to say I love you, but he stopped and corrected himself and instead said, "I like you." It was clear as day when he started to say I lo- ... I like you." If he didn't love her and just liked her, he wouldn't have had to correct himself, he would have just flat out said I like you with no hesitation. He loved her, he just couldn't really express it back then because he didn't know how to, but he's ALWAYS loved Liz WAY before she ever got pregnant with Jake. He asked Liz if she had ever thought about the past and what it would have been like if they had gotten together, when he first left PC and asked her to go with him, or if she ever thought about actually making to Italy. She said yes, and asked him if he did too. He said of course he did. He said he tried not to let himself, but then he'd go to some church or a museum and see an amazing painting and he'd think of her. So tell me, if he didn't love her, why would he think of her whenever he'd see those things, or think of her when he tried not to. It's because he DID LOVE her, and always has, he just wasn't able to say it the right way. He even told her at one point that she made him see things that he never even noticed until she pointed them out to him. She was able to make him see things like pictures and have dreams, when his brain normally wouldn't see them anymore. Without Liz Jason wouldn't have been able to do half the stuff he does now, like dream, see pictures and paintings, or believe in stuff he normally wouldn't have. She helped make Jason who he is today. Him and Liz have more history and a connection together than Sam ever could.

Amanda Lugo lol Jason pretty much said the same thing to Courtney when he was with her. He said something along the lines of "I love you more than anything." Don't exactly remember the lines, too long ago, and not a Courtney/Jason fan. Jason loves whoever he is with wholeheartedly. Whoever Jason was with, he'd love them with everything and say the same things. Like for example he said to Sam, when he "remembered" everything, he said to her that it felt right and familiar, LOL he said the same EXACT thing to Liz before either of them knew his true identity. Liz and Jason actually felt connected to each other and actually fell in love with each other BEFORE either of them knew who he really was. That is love. He couldn't remember who he was, and she didn't know who he was at the time, and yet he still fell for her, and she for him. He remembered things about Liz and had flashes of her when he first layed eyes on her. He remembered a little about her, and even a little about their son. He NEVER did that with Sam until WAY later. If he was truly destined with Sam, he would have at least felt something for her, other than a friend. He never even looked at Sam lovingly until way later. But whatever, you like your couples and I like mine.
