I have no idea what any of the sorority events are but as an Australian I am extremely jealous!
Lol Sororities are the best. It’s where you meet a bunch of different people that go to your college. You guys live together and sometimes you get partnered up with a random person and you guys give gifts to each other but have no idea who you guys are until the end of the year when you have a reveal
I worked in an Oral Surgeon and yeah the risks so mentioned are very real! However, just shop around for a few of the best doctors in your area and can almost promise they will do a good job and you won’t have any issues. The probability of the nerve damage actually increases with age and the longer you wait so I would try to schedule one ASAP for when you go home over Thanksgiving! Good luck and I hope it stops hurting till then

Happy birthday Kiara (I know I’m a little bit late, but I hope you had a fantastic day, the party seemed so much fun) 🎉🎉 As far as your tooth is concerned, I removed three of them, one had pretty much the same problem that you are facing. You should definitely see a doctor, because the teeth can damage the others, I had to wear bracelets because the others were damaged, since there was no space of all the teeth. The procedure itself it’s not hard (for me it wasn’t at least) but the recover takes some time. I did it will on colleague break, and toke me more than a week to fully recover. I hope you feel better now 😘😘

Happy Belated Birthday! Monday was the best. It was also rainy, chilly and overcast here in Portland, which was amazing! Wisdom teeth are the worst. I had all four of mine removed when I was 16. There wasn't enough room in my mouth for them, and they were causing me issues.
This week was a busy week for me as well, I am working stock crew for a retail store, and we were setting up our Christmas Shops this week, so 40 hours and all overnights. It was crazy.
Hopefully, you can catch a break and feel a bit better before Midterms hit!

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed as they were all impacted and had no problem with the surgery, recovery or any part, did it in between school terms and I was fine!! if you need it done, pls pls don't worry you'll be fine!!

I’ve had my 4 wisdom teeth taken out at the same time and there was no problem with the nerve. It did hurt pretty bad for a couple of days, but I’ve had braces and I am used to teeth pain. This weekend, I went to this wonderful air yoga class! I love it so much and it felt good to do something just for me and not for university! :D

Hi Kiara, I’ve had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and had no issues with that nerve. When I went in for the surgery, the doctor explained to me that there was a less than 1% chance that the nerve would get damaged. Of course it still scared me but I trusted the doctor and everything turned out fine. I know tons of people who have gotten them removed and haven’t had issues with nerve damage. I strongly suggest you look into it, even if it’s just for that one tooth :)
Oh yeah I totally with get it removed I'm not that concerned so idk why everyone is freaking out about me mentioning it... I just
remembered my dentist saying that's why I should keep them in haha. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Belated birthday wishes. I did not get a big party, hopefully one for my 30th, but I did have the best year ever so far. Wish you the same. On another note, I had to take out my wisdom tooth because it was impacted too, but my dentist never told me about the risks. Unfortunately, I got nerve damage. The anaesthesia itself took 3 days to wear off but even then my right jaw area was left numb and constantly tingling. Thankfully, it has not affected my smile or anything and it’s been slowly healing. I hope it doesn’t cause a problem when I’m an old lady like drooling though. I would have some accidents initially where I didn’t realise there was food on my face because I lost sensation there.

It took me only 2 days to bounce back up from my wisdom teeth removal, just look for a good surgeon and you will be fine.

jennifer freytag it’s because here at the University of Oregon, just like all the public universities in Oregon, are on quarter systems. So they all start the last week of September, and end the first 2 weeks of June. Most private universities that are on the semester system start earlier.
