I've been watching these videos for about a month and I can only count to ten, but I'm old and gentile and may not have the wits. German was a breeze compared to this, so many close words. I will say, though, that I love hearing the teachers at hebrewpod101 speaking. I lie in bed and they lull me and make me feel peaceful. Then I wake and listen and try to get it, and realize what a mountain I'm climbing.
Their way of teaching is bullshit.

I'm Dutch (the Netherlands) and I want to learn hebrew for a long time already. Do some of you have good tips to learn Hebrew (or any language) when you can't ask a native speaker? I think the pronunciation is actually ok for me to do, because I have the feeling a lot of sounds are sounds made in Dutch as well. The alphabet is just really difficult for me.

2:00 I go to Hebrew school at my synagogue but all they teach me to do is read so I can practice for my Bat Mitzvah. They told us that they'd teach me to speak but nooooo. I'm not even that good at reading after learning it since kindergarten in 2013. I've heard people speak Hebrew around me since I was born and you'd think I'd learn to speak it by now, but noooooo.

Ever heard of - Bonincoln Hebrew Handful - (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my neighbour got amazing results with it.

Hebrew is very dificult language
Is it just me or do the majority find Yaara to be cute..Ya Ya ...LOL.. for some reason I find her very cute..:D... I want to learn some amount of Hebrew before I go in Feb 2020
I speak russian, turkish, romanian, gagauz, ukrainian.
I subscribed to HebrewPod101 and it was a waste of money for me. They never taught grammar or how to conjugate verbs and how to use pronouns. No one learns a language by learning the meaning of words in sentences. That's just fun for an hour or so. But if you're serious about learning a language you need grammar.
If you buy a shovel, the holes will not dig themselves. Work is called work because it works. You can do it! dig deep.

I had a passion for languages. So, I wanted to learn many languages as possible. But it's not that impressive. Because I never practiced with any other person because I couldn't fivd anyone who can speak them other than English, Korean, Mandarin, and Tagalog because I live in the Philippines
