“Divine Diana Diva” at the age of 14 in a “Masterpiece of Performance and Vocal Art” for all time.
It was through this video that I first came into contact with Diana Ankudinova.
And at first I somehow couldn't understand it. It was beyond my listening habits.
It was so special.
I stuck with it. And with each subsequent listen, I succumbed more and more to the magic of Diana's voice and personality.
She became my absolute favorite artist and still is to this day.
Over the last 5 years I have watched many - and probably almost all - of Diana's videos/performances on CZcams (on a daily basis, literally).
There are a lot of very, very, very good performances/songs/music videos among them.
But especially this video of “Rechenka” from the show “You are Super” is still my absolute number 1 from Diana -
and I suspect that it will remain that way for all eternity.

This is an old ritual song about an orphan bride. The girl has no parents. The river was considered the boundary between the world of the living and the dead. She goes to the river and asks for the blessing of marriage. She says that there are many people at home, but there is no father and mother. You hear Diana singing in a whisper. These are the words of the deceased mother of the bride. Then the girl is crying. In Russia, at weddings they sang sad songs to scare away evil and the marriage of a young couple was to be happy. Such songs were called “weeping.” The figures behind Diana are spirits of water and forest.

On October 1, the premiere of a stunningly beautiful OST video for the song “Baikal” took place on Diana Ankudinova’s CZcams channel.
The soundtrack performed by Diana became the main musical theme of the film “The Spirit of Baikal,” which will be released in wide release on October 19, 2023.
In the film itself, Diana voiced two roles - the spirit of Lake Baikal and the voice of the soul of the deceased mother of the main character of the film. The film received several top awards at film festivals.
Baikal is the deepest, oldest, freshwater lake on Earth (22-23 percent of all fresh surface water), it is a place of power, the spiritual center of shamans, different religions - Shamanism , Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, a pristine place not yet touched by civilization.

She is most prolific and you will find much to entertain and amaze you. Of the English songs 'Wicked Game' will chill you and the showstopper 'Can't Help Falling In Love' will shock you. For me it is her quiet intimate folky songs - for example 'Happiness' from her first album.

Greetings from Scotland! Yes, I agree that nobody in music history has such a voice as Diana and it is probably a "once-in-a-lifetime" phenomenon! Incredibly rare to have a female Dramatic Contralto singer with additional unique and naturally occurring vocal abilities as Diana has! Diana continually improves and expands her art too, so the future will be mind blowing! Just check some of her newer original songs, some of which she has written both lyrics and music to - superb, talent!

Diana's signature performance at the age of 14 years old. She's pretty magical. She has a new release on her CZcams channel and it's a video from a new movie called The spirit of Baikal. It's similar to this song in the sense that it is mystical, tribal and mysterious. This kind of music is right in Diana's wheelhouse. Diana is a voice actor (spirit of a young boy's dead mother) and her music is featured in the movie. I'm sure you would really enjoy it. I'll be at a Vol's game later this season (Georgia). :) Rocky Top, you'll always be home sweet home to me, good ol' Rocky Top, Rocky Top, Tennessee 🐻

One of my favorites by her is from the "Show Mask Go On" entitled "Oh' It's Not Yet Evening" czcams.com/video/cfTiQkJrLi0/video.html. It's an over 300 year old folk song about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song.
I'm not sure how many people appreciate the emotional gasps she produces here that absolutely melt me.
Be sure, I fully share with you your predilection for this performance by Diana. It was Diana's first song I have ever heard and she put a spell on me with her interpretation (I knew the song quite well, of course). Her chorus with vocalizations is one of the best moments I have ever experienced.
