Well i really shouldn't look up a walk through to figure out how to beat the bosses in the FPS.
Other then that this is a game that really feels like a quake game and it really had awesome graphics for it's time. However i think this game is just too brainless.
Finally if nothing more people can fly can really make a good looking game.

At any rate, Painkiller's a winner and a keeper. There've been an undue number of impressive shooters already this year, but don't let that keep your attention away from this one. How to defeat final boss
Defeating Lucifer
Eventually, Daniel decides to save Eve. Samael tells him where Hell's gates are and also tells him there's no way back if he wants to quit. He must kill Lucifer to be able to exit Hell.
When you finally enter Hell, you must kill 66 ghost monsters in order to morph into demon and teleport to Lucifer's lair. There, he will launch meteors at you. Shoot the meteors in Lucifer's direction to damage him. After he screams, he will throw his sword at you. Within the next three seconds, shoot the sword back at him to finish him off. Defeating him will open a Blue Pentagram at the end of the level.

I brought this game when I was 16 from the money I earned working in McDonald’s, but I couldn’t get it to play on my parents basic PC so end up giving it away to a work colleague, fast forward 17 years I’m here to see what I missed out on 😭🤣

A fondly remembered game, mostly for the soundscape and rag doll physics. Gameplay was fine if a tad repetitive but the fun OTT demons made for fun gameplay; nothing like firing a wooden stake into a biker and having him knocked back to end up impaled to a column. Some gorgeous settings and the detail on the weapons was always a source of amusement; id often find myself admiring the florid detail on my weapons during a firefight . . . . "These guns *BOOM* are REALLY *BOOM* pretty . . . . . . . No,*BOOM* not 'pretty' *BOOM BOOM* beautiful *BOOM* . . . .ewwww, gonna have to clean THAT off quickly *BOOM*"
As a millennial I Love the early 2000s and its games
I was a little kid when i was playing this game. I always thought this is the most scariest game. Seeing this game now, makes me happy.
When I said to my mom, "Look gun go bang and people don't get back up", she got mad and for a good reason, because my dad was playing this at the time, Ironically one of my favorites.

We need 2020/2021 Remaster with rewritten physics, megascans n shit, basically the old game in todays highest standards similar how the HL1 was remastered but on a bigger difference scale. Also it's very doable since it's arcade shooter, there's nothing too complex so 95% of work is basically asset modeling and texturing + no need of concept artists since the first game is whole concept/reference. If Ubisoft, Bethesda etc. started working on such remake/remaster they probs would complete it in less than 2-3 months ( same probs was with Doom Eternal excl. the polishing, bugfixing etc ).

Long time ago I play this game when I was in highschool. This game is still in my memory until now 2023😊
The annoying metal battle music completely took away the mood of the game. Turning it off in the game options was the first thing I did after installation. The ambient music added very special atmosphere to the game and it was even more scary and cool to play.

I played this game when I was so young, now that's a Halloween game.
The Tower of Babel level scared the piss out of me when I first played it. I didn't expect the floors to drop out under me. Great game! I still have it and the expansion packs for the PC.

Thanks for the video, I don't know why but I finished the game in high difficulty and I had a different ending after killing Alastor. After getting informations on internet I heard tere was something else so... thank you for making this vido, it made not me remake the game in a lower difficulty to have the different and true ending >
I think you got the best ending though, where he actually goes to heaven.
That is the ending if you finish the game on Trauma (hardest) difficulty.
That ending isn't canon but best ending for sure.

4:25:05 The monastery music, omg...I was so fascinated about how good and eerie and sad it sounds. I remeber playing that level and literally having tears in my eyes when that music started to play. From that moment I said that I want that music to play at my funeral.

Or using the signature weapon on enemies and making them into gems and money. And using the level specific tarot cards. Missing on so many aspects it's hard to watch.

@@ExacoMvm It wold longer than that, dev team tried to make this game and there were a lot of attempts (so many video games released) all of them failed. Only developers that most probably can pull this of is People can Fly (same company that made original painkiller), but now they are owned by epic and we seen this game doesn't scales too well with unreal engine.
So there are a lot of problems here, big companies will not touch this franchise because there isn't too much money. Small companies just don't have the skill to make a good painkiller game.

Can't see how UE4 would not work for this game as UE4 is most perfect engine for FPS.
Yeah big companies probs would not bother that much, but pretty sure there are Indie teams who could handle it with some extra effort ( Whoever makes "Atomic Heart" would 100% nail it imo ), there's even just random artists who doesn't even do games and can nail better visuals solo with $0 budget in UE4/Unity + decent optimization ( just for fun/hobby ) than AAA studios make by spending millions.
@@ExacoMvm Art isn't a problem in that game, because as you mentioned a lot of people can do art as good or better than original painkiller. However the problem is nailing the gameplay part something that i don't believe Atomic Heart Russian developer Mundfish has a chance nailing it, I looked at above mentioned game and it is very different from painkiller.
About Unreal engine yes it is the best development environment if you want to get something up and running (If you are a small sutdio it is by far the best development envirment), but that engine is far from the best engine out there because of ton of it's limitations.
Please note that i'm not saying that it wouldn't work with unreal, but because of it's visual characteristics would be very hard to emulate original painkillers look.
was a great game but after killing enemies their soul item appearing in a random place after a few seconds was very annoying. makes you stomp and turn around to pick them up.
