No violence, no kill, no hurt, no tension, only chant Hare Krishna Hare Rama.

Lord Krishna never told chant peace mantra/say no voilence when something wrong is happening in front of your eyes.
Infact he told Arjuna (as in metaphorically to a humanbeing) to stand up, fight for what is right. protect dharma no matter what the outcome is. the result is not in your hand do your duty as a human being protect the innocent, protect dharma, protect who are week and do the right to wrong it is your Karma( here the meaning changes as there are different interpretations Karma, Kharma, Prarabda; karma is what you do means your duty, Kharma is the result of what you did earlier and you need to face the consequences, prarabdh means which is the result of your deeds in present and past life and what the creator destined you for)
Lord Krishna was always at peace , he fought wars he killed demons but he was always at peace as he was only doing it cause it is what he is supposed to do. It is his karma that he need to perform and fulfil his destiny as this incarnation of Krishna.
Now a days people are giving the name of peace to cowardness and trying to hide behind the name of non voilence and peace. Gandhi was great person but, his preaching was misinterpreted to this generation and making them cowards who cannot stand for themselves and fight(fight means may not be phisical but to raise voice against the evil/wrong/oppression/inequality/self respect)

Very good, hopefully you can unlock the key for me. I have one business degree and speak 3 languages. I have read some of the BG and gone to some services, and now watch online. I am having trouble surrendering to Krsna, I think I am too rational for my own good and never had any religious upbringing at all. Chanting, service, but still not progressing. I spoke with a HK mentor who advised to keep chanting. Any advice? Haribol!

I have struggled for 8 months for learning a programming language, now I know 4 + programming languages and I can learn any language with a reference manual. try these. both Shiva and krishna are the same energy but different forms..
@@ozymandias8981 Canada the HK temples are all closed due to the Corona virus. Not opening anytime soon. I do not know of any Shiva temples, my thinking is to continue with HK. I guess I must be patient with myself.
I was born in India...and find all of this so natural. I studied in UK, worked in USA and Singapore but I'm now back in India and so happy and lucky to be born into this culture. Money is not supreme...humanity and love is. We've lost our way...and I pray to Krishna to show the world the way again. Jai Shri Krishna.

I just attended a class given by Hridayananda Goswami (the man wearing the saffron colored clothing in this video) tonight. He is still preaching the same message of God (Krishna) over 35 years later. At the time of this video in 1979 he had already been in the Hare Krishna movement for ten years. He, a long with his colleague wearing the white clothing are still involved as Hare Krishna's to this very day. The message of the Bhagavad Gita is genuine and it is being delivered by genuine people who have spent their lives devoted to spreading this sublime message of Krishna. I lived in a community 'w many HK's. Very nice & kind people. Would invite the entire community for an awesome vegetarian dinner. They knew I am Christian & were never predigused about anything.
I am a hare Krishna too. According to our scripture you and I are souls (parts of God's body). In that sense we are brothers and sisters. That's why no matter you are Christian or Muslim, it's our duty to treat every one same.

I got afraid of death and hell.

I now live my life with pure happiness. Krishna taught me how to love even the haters.
Thus....even when I get angry....I can calm myself...which prevents me from taking hasty double-edged decisions.

I believe the Hare Krishna representatives seem to be very well spoken. They don't seem "mindless" to me. Mr. Patrick appears to me to be an atheist. When asked about what he believed about his soul, he simply stated that is was the breath that he breathes. He never stated that he believed in God.

Further the offering made to God is done in 'stoola sthiti', seen form. Thus, God takes the food in 'sookshmam', in sookshma stithi, unseen form.
Hence the offerings doesn't become any less in quantity.
While GOD takes it in the "sookshma sthiti",
We take it as 'prasadam' in 'sthoola sthiti'. I can explain with example how this works

The Mantra and the way of meditation taught made me more calm and quiet otherwise i was always trashing objects and shouting at people ..... Now i start laughing at the same that used to make me angry. I am realising a lot of things now . I am more composed , aware and Mathematical skill went up and I topped my class ...... Seriously .... It's not as easy as it sounds practically in a world engulfed by illusions (maya), pain (especially due to delayed justice in kali yuga) ,sensory distractions.. so self discipline (opting what is right to what we like) is the basic principle.

The devotees were absolutely brilliant and held their ground. They DO have fun with festivals, great food and music and dancing. As far as occupations, I knew one who had a bookstore, and one who had a restaurant that served wonderful Krishna food. There are others who farm and some who build things. There are so many questions about life and the most important one is to find out the answer to the question: 'What is the purpose of life?' In no place other than in the works of Prabhupada you will find the answer, now if you are not interested in the subject matter, means that you are still happy on the lap of maya or illusion.. speaking from experience, don't wait for maya to slap you to start reconsidering about life and it's purpose.. ignorance will make you sin, and for every sin there is suffering. It is easy to misbehave and not to follow the rules of life just for sense gratification, although almost of the sacred books have already warned us about what you should do and what you should not do in your daily life and towards others.. the difference here with the Hare Krishna Movement.. is that it pulls you out of your ignorance, it gives you the intelligence to sacrifice sense gratification for purification, the only way to know the truth about what is life really and our relation with Krishna God. I am thankful for this debate.. as someone commented before.. it's kinda another pastime of the Lord. His Supreme Majesty through his pure devotees. HARE KRISHNA.

The purpose of life is moksha that is liberation from this endless cycle of life and death. For achieving this, the minimum prerequisites are maintaining a simple and modest life devoid of any artificial pleasures or maya. I am not Hare Krishana Dotee like Mr. Goswami, but I am a Hindu. having said that I totally agree with what these devotees are saying, although I am enjoying my materialistic life and I also know deep down inside that this is not the perfect path, and I am sticking to it because their path or way of life is not at all easy but right one if one wants to spend a truly peaceful life.
All religions are good but none talks about the soul/spiritual lifestyle which these people are trying to achieve, and know that materialistic lifestyle will definitely give temporary/short happiness but will never give true peace of mind.

justaskmamma no hindu god said that they will save us. even these 2 gods came to earth in the form of human. They lived their lives as humans and to err is human. So when they sinned they had to pay for their sins in the same life. In hindu custom we believe in "Karma". That what you have done in this life you will get the result in the same life. Their won't be a judgement day that nobody has seen. But your present life you will experience all that wrongs and rights that you have done.In our culture if you have sinned regardless of human, god, demigod, demon you will have to pay for it somehow in this life. "Karma" will play its part.
