The back petals tend to brown and wilt first too

That's true indeed, Grace! The back petals do tend to brown and will wilt first before the other petals do, and that's also a sign of how old the flower is. Thank you for weighing in on how to choose fresh dahlias and for watching this week's Tulip Tuesday Tip. We hope you find them useful when working with flowers, and we appreciate the extra information you share as it is very helpful. Hope to see you on Live tomorrow and wishing you a marvelous week in everything you do!
