  • Today I look back over the last year with our Canyon Rental fleet. In this video I talk about our experience with the bikes, how they fared and my general thoughts on the current situation and potential future for top end mountain bikes.

    you guys should do episodes or vlogs on starting a bikepark from scratch even the very begining process and vlog the entire build, it would blow up!!! best of luck whatever you do, i shredded revs last year it was epic

      Agree with this.That would be a great watch!

    Totally agree with this. Canyon is a great brand and this ‘stress test’ proves that. Unless you can afford both (😳) then for most of us hitting the big parks and all the rest more frequently nearer to home, the ‘super enduro’ has been a wonderful development. And, yes, you can’t beat DH bikes on DH tracks. Thanks for everything fella and we’ll all be back with you #revs4evs 🎉

    I totally agree with you, Tim. I've been riding the Canyon Torque for more than 3 years now, and it's been incredibly reliable even though I'm not the smoothest rider by any means! It's such a fun bike for both, tech and jumps

    I’ve been riding the torque for the past 3 years and I love it. Minimal maintenance and it eats everything you throw at it.

    Sold my and my wife's canyon senders and purchased the 2022 canyon Torques, the senders were great but the Torques are just fantastic park bikes, best bikes We have ever owned and I have had plenty

      Hi Mate, I'm a bit small. 165cm to be exact, you think the Small will be okay for me? Not sure where can I find one to try before buying one.

    Cool video. Nice to see hire park bikes reviewed. I’m keen to see more of these types of video.

    Brilliant to see the videos still coming from Revs. Lucky enough to have three Canyons, (Spectral, Sender and Stitched). The Spectral has coped at Revs, but going onto the Sender was a game changer. It gives a mediocre rider like myself so much confidence. Would love to upgrade them both to 29ers - hopefully by the time Rev re-opens... Can't wait.

    Please share with us how exactly you get canyon to loan you bicycles for use? I run a small bicycle charity in the Andes, we want rental bikes for use in a rental fleet for tourists (income generation) as well as for training and racing (we exist to give poor, disadvantaged children the same cycling and racing opportunities and as the rich spawn of tour agency owners)... for three years now we have been paying legal fees, taxes and registrations (out of our own pockets to the point of near bankruptcy) to run a non profit that has yet to give a single opportunity to even ONE kid because the bicycle industry basically IGNORES us (I guess when you're not an "influencer" who's ass is on social media all day the industry doesn't give a crap about you- or a racer that can win you podiums- although that is pretty short sighted as where we live the conditions are so rough that I firmly believe with OPPORTUNITIES I can unearth multiple world champions within multiple cycling disciplines)...why is the bicycle industry so vehmently against real development for kids in the third world but so willing to bend over backwards to accommodate the first world and the privileged, wealthy people...the hypocrisy is just staggering!

    There is no replacement for displacement when it comes to DH. These single crown bikes of today are amazing but nothing rides quite like a full blown DH bike

  • @Ruffest

    People that hire are probably tourists. My mate snapped one that many times he got told it was his last replacement and they gave him a top spec one 😂 it got sold.

    What is "prestigious" about a DH bike? I own one (Commencal FRS factory) and it's absolute junk compared to a Enduro bike....

    sponsored advertising
    canyon known for snapping and horrible warranty process they tried to weasel out of replacing it, i know myself i snapped 2x of in 18months
    remember that rental bikes are mostly being ridden by beginners who are riding very slow

    • @razorsharp9850

      Which bike and what broke?

    • @yukawameson7530
      @yukawameson7530 Před 11 měsíci

      @@razorsharp9850 canyon spectral, chain stay on the 1st frame and seat stay on the 2nd. They tried to claim it was my fault for doing jumps over 30cm with their enduro bike, which by the way they advertise with people doing huge 40ft jumps (e.g. vision line). Absolutely ridiculous, was back and forth wtih the snakes for about 2months they refused to warranty until I got in contact with Trading standards and they advised me on how to write a legally worded email. Surprise surprise after I mentioned court action they replaced my frame immediately as a "gesture good will" 🧐🧐🧐🧐
      Btw this is after having multiple other issues with the frame (headset creaking, stupid proprietary seat clamp which would stop working every 5 rides in winter and needed to be constantly cleaned, bushing issues in the linkage)
      sold the 2nd warranty frame as new and bought a Raaw madonna instead and have had ZERO issues & their after purchase care has been perfect. Get a bike from a brand run by actual riders rather than this huge marketing machine. It is completely disingenuous becuase they have riders like Fabio Wibmer and sam pilgrim doing crazy shit on their bikes but I GUARANTEE they are snapping them left right and centre and if the average person did this kind of riding and tried to warranty the frame they would refuse.

    • @MrSupermugen
      @MrSupermugen Před 10 měsíci

      that sucks, been on canyon for 18 months, no actual canyon related issues other than a Expoxy supplier that caused issues with the BB insert into carbon frames.... canyon replaced that frame instantly.
      I have, spectral cf8 29, cf8 mullet AXS(wifes), Torque AL 6 & a stoic. all been great.
      Sams Spectral is still his original, Theres some marks on it from the first few videos that are still there in the later videos.
      Sorry you've had issues but canyon has been nothing short of amazing for us.
