GG6 isn't new, the "new" guy does the male clean vocals. Henrik has been with them since the first album. Also this song is what my wife and I had our first dance to at our wedding reception. This was my intro song to Amaranthe and I instantly fell in love with Elize and upon exploring more of their catalog, fell in love with the entire band. They are one of my fav bands for several years now!
For context, this song is from their first album released back in 2011, a whole decade ago! This was the first song I heard by the group back then and I was instantly hooked. The band is known for having three vocalists, but the lineup has had two changes over the years. Elize Ryd is the female vocalist and has been with the group since the beginning. In this video, the clean male vocalist is Jake E. Lundberg and the harsh male vocalist is Andreas Solvestrom. Andreas left the group after the second album and was replaced by Henrik Englund Wilhelmsson, or better know by his stage name, GG6. He is the current harsh male vocalist. Jake was in the group for the first four albums, then left. He was replaced by Nils Molin. So as it stands now, GG6 has been in the group for the past four albums and Nils has been in the group for the past two albums. Amaranthe is great, saw them few times live; also saw Elize as the female guesst singer for Kamelot. On a concert in 2012 she blows out my mind - it was a Kamelot show and I had a early access ticket and stand in front row. At the song "Sacrimony" is a growl part, normally done by Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), I thought the part won't be live and they will use a tape insteat....but nope, Elize went down on her knees, took my hand and growled me straight into my face - HOLY SHIT!!!

I watched it and could not believe I never heard of the band before that. I sat up for hours watching their stuff went online and bought every CD I could find. AMARANTHE is one of my top fav bands.

Amaranthe was gonna do a North America tour in 2020, I had VIP tickets for the show in New Orleans at the House Of Blues but of course it was all cancelled due to covid. Another great song by them is 1,000,000 Lightyears, the official music video is amazing!
