I have a craftsman lt1000 and it has a 17.5 Briggs motor I am running 25 inch tires in the back what size pulley would I need to put on back so I will still have a good bit of power

It's a craftsman 1985 16hp riding lawn mower it is very rough it's a stick shift and it will pop wheelies if your not careful
What separates the men from the boys is transmission modifications. The most common issue is belt slippage causing total loss of torque. The second most common issue seems to be water ingress when the tractors first splash into the mud. The Murray might have made a full pull if the start had been slower.

I have 2 murray riders, one is late 70s with a peerless 600 series 3sp transaxle, the other is a early 90s that had a peerless 204, I want to make one into a mud mower and the other I want to lower and make a racer/go cart with a live axle and peerless 700, but can't decide witch to do what to, I was told the 600 is a strong transaxle and would be perfect for a mud mower, any suggestions?
I suddenly want to build a cvt off road mower maybe someday but of course I like twins so that's the motor I would use this looks extremely fun I wonder if I built one if fearless front would come to Florida for a hog waller romp there are a lot of famous mud holes down here
