I was never much of a platform gamer, but I got my parents to get my a Playstation in preparation for Pegasus Prime. Then it ended up being released for Mac. xD Anyway fast-forward a few years later and I got the first iBook ever, and e-mailed Presto Studios asking about Pegasus Prime. They sent it to me FOR FREE, along with a ton of cool swag like a t-shirt, magnets, bumper stickers, and the original Journeyman for Mac (I only had Turbo for Windows). Presto Studios was the best.
I remember playing the original Journeyman Project and beating the game. I was not aware of this version of the game. Too bad that it is rare. I would love to have been able to play this game. Thanks for posting.
I actually picked this game up on eBay despite lacking an actual Mac to run this on. I also went to the length to get a DVD version of Legacy of Time. Good to see Pegasus Prime getting some coverage.
Pegasus Prime was a remake released only for the Mac. The basic game is the same, but some puzzles are added, augmented, or made harder, and some worlds have been expanded so you have to do more.
WOWWW....i just realized that the guy that goes up to the roof on the elevator at the begining of the game is the guy you have to stop at the end.....it's amazing what you miss as a little kid.
dude.. thank you so much for this. what with my lack of a Power Macintosh (or any Macintosh for that matter, heh) it was pretty much null & void that I'd ever get to play this game so it's going to be wonderful and interesting to see the changes and improvements from The Journeyman Project Turbo (which I did play) THANK YOU SO MUCH! :D
@KSE828 If you played the original version, the door didn't have a window, so there was no way of knowing who was going to the roof when you were leaving for work. I did like the error it gave you when you tried to go to one of the other floors: Access denied, this floor was neither modeled nor rendered.
I never used Mac, but for this particular game...I took 3 days to understand and config sheepshaver.to run it., thanks the great info on E-maculation boards.
I LOVE The Jorneyman Project Games so much! I hope Presto Studios will bring more Games of this fantastic series. I want to have the soundtrack from Buried in Time. BiT is one of the best PC Games for my opinion.
And Arthur has totally ruined me for every other sidekick except maybe Crow from The Longest Journey. You'd think with the number of good game sequels being funded via Kickstarter (TLJ, Tex Murphy, Broken Sword), Journeyman would be a shoe-in for funding. And I've read that the script is actually written. Heck, I'd go clean bathrooms and empty trash cans for the Presto guys if they'd reunite for this one project (of course, I'd rather write or do some voice acting...)
minissa2009 That would be so wonderful, when Presto Studios would make this. But without Internet-activation and without DLC's. I didn't read something like this, but this would be great. Hopefully that this will successful and not like Outcast-Remake. And i'll hope about Shenmue III. I don't give up the hope. :-)
@ngobleus I'd love a longplay of this. Hell I'd like to play this game myself. It's too bad I A don't have a Mac and B have the game. I've wanted to play this for years. I've played the second game though.
@areoborg Ahhh....I knew I couldn't have been THAT stupid. "Access denied, this floor was neither modeled nor rendered" confused me as a kid. I remember thinking to myself "what the hell does that mean?"
well that and from what I've seen they didn't really have any good games for it... something that really helps a console make it is a great launch title line up... you can't just release a system and expect people to buy it without seeing what it can do...

I forgot that you see the assassin riding the elevator up at the very beginning of the game! Very cool plant and pay off.

Oh god I got chills watching this.

I'd almost be willing to sell my soul for a PC re-release of this. It's the only Journeyman game I've never played.

I never used Mac, but for this particular game...I took 3 days to understand and config sheepshaver.to run it., thanks the great info on E-maculation boards.
So if this were the Hitchhiker's Guide universe and Earth had not yet been destroyed, it would have a higher chance of happening?
I've always loved these games, though as a kid I've always been too chicken and played the "walkthrough" version. XD
