Seeing the same ladies who sang many years ago in the original soundtrack chants and Kenji's live symphony really bought tears to my eyes! Their smiles says it all. they were loving the spot light once again! They are incomparable! As well as kenji!

@@Edwinpottillius most deffinitely. If you watch Kenji's first symphony performance of the original version of this song you could recognize a lot of the ladies! And a lot of them look the same!!!! It's amazing to me idk why

That was great but I think they should've used more pieces from the original soundtracks. The movie could've been better just because of this.

If they had not gotten Mr. Kawai to do the theme, I really don't think I would go see this film. The soundtrack was another character that, if you'll excuse the expression, 'fleshed out' the storyline.
The music will be made by Clint Mansell.

As a hardcore GITS fan i have to say, this intro music is better than the original " Making of Cyborg ", and now that i feel desgusting after having admited this, so ill go wash my mouth and fingers with bleach.
I agree and disagree at the same time. Both were great for their time frames. In 1995,"Reincarnation" was perfect and its newer counterpart,"Utai IV: Reawakening," a hybrid of the original song and the opening of GitS 2: Innocence,is perfect for the late 2010s. Personally,I prefer the newer version more and it's not because of the live-action film. It's because of the key.
It's obvious that the key used for Reincarnation" was the key of G and that's not a bad key. However,they should've used the key of F# for the original. But if that didn't happen,we wouldn't have "Utai IV: Reawakening." That's why I prefer the newer version more than the original.

Tengo mis reservas con esta película; pero hay que valorarle esto, el hecho de traer a Kenji y de respetar en cierto sentido, el alma de una obra tan única.
Pero la música de la película es de Clint Mansell , así que supongo esto ha sido un mero guiño para que el público japonés (y los fans) no se enfaden mucho . Me había ilusionado yo también pensando que habían contado con Kenji
Con el ultimo trailer comprendí que este proyecto no me iba a gustar. Frente a lo de kenji, ghost in the shell le es a Kenji kawai, como le es Ghost in the shell a Oshii. La obra no sera la mejor; pero sin duda generaron algo muy especial, que perdura y eso seguramente le faltara a este live action.

It was pretty good, but I doubt anyone will be listening to it over a decade later like the original. No idea why they wouldn't use it, or at least a variation of it. Hope they at least use it in the end credits or something. I'd love to hear it on the huge theater sound system.

it is in the movie but the music is so much different to the old movies. I can't understand why there are is the Geisha-Vocal-Sining in the Promo, because this Track is NOT in the movie at all. Also the full soundtrack is so flat and not in the scene... no feelings, nothing!!!
I have the original Ghost in the Shell. This theme is a huge part of making the cyborg. If it's not there, then it doesn't make any sense.

It's because of the pitch. The new version has a deeper pitch.
Just found out that Clint mansell is going to create the score for the move ,not Kenji Kawai. I did enjoy the scores he did for PI and Moon so, I will with hold judgment
