My mother loved to dance. Every dance they had in the town hall she would buy us all tickets from the oldest to the youngest all six of us. She would put one condition we had to dance, 1976 i was ten years old and i would dance my ass off. Those were the good old day's.
I'll Say it again,,,,The skills and talents of musicians like these are museum pieces. I was right in the middle of all of this in my teens and twenties. Every time I hear these songs i remember just where i was, who i was with, and what i was doing. Completely Awesome and can never be replaced.
It was cute seeing Michael singing along. I love how Bernadette and Dionne was jamming along. I have to say I absolutely love this group I'm so glad I grew up on their music. JT is too fine in this video.
...for all we know, Mike coulda been in the backing vocals on the record....those Cats used to work him back in the pre-Thriller days .......he enjoyed it, no doubt.
This was one of the most overplayed songs of the disco era...and it never got old. That groove gets going and you can't turn it off, even if it's the 20th time you've heard it that day.
I had the privilege of seeing these guys in concert back in 1979. That was over 40 years ago, and it's all kind of a blur now, but when I think back on that night, I still remember... how good of a performance they put on musically and visually. I also will never forget the moment when they paused the show and gave the trumpet player a few minutes to do a trumpet solo by himself. This was in honor of the Atlanta child murder victims. The Atlanta child murders was an unfortunate event that was happening around 1979. I shall never forget how moving that solo was. Everyone in the coliseum was quiet and the trumpet player held the most beautiful hi note for about 30 seconds during his performance. This band was truly worthy of the utmost respect!

When Dionne's smiling and MJ's singing along (!), you know it's a good night ... First saw K&TG in the late 80s (London, last-minute tickets) - still one of the best nights of my life ... just a massive party full of happy people, dancing and singing along. Saw them again a few times back then - exactly the same experience. So nowadays, whenever I hear any of their tracks, I have lovely memories of when music was truly great ... Top class act.
