Somewhere on Earth - Jamaica: • Amazing Quest: Stories...
Fiji: an archipelago located in the Pacific Ocean. Of its more than 300 islands, only about 100 are inhabited.
First we meet Manasa Bulivou, from Benga. In the shelter of the barrier reef , Manasa goes diving with his son Tumbi to feed their guardian angels: the Shark Gods.
Then we meet Hannah Bennett. She is a surfing champion. Her quest will take her all the way to Cloudbreak, one of the most beautiful waves in the world.
Finally we meet Franck Boivert, a rugby coach. He combs the villages of the outlying islands hoping to discover the rare gem of Fijian rugby.

I have to admit I love this series because it goes beyond the usual cliches we have about some places. Fiji we know because of the paradisal beaches and sea. Hey, nothing wrong with that. I’ll take it any day but The Amazing Quest series helps us understand these places as places and not as vacation spots. I think that’s amazing. Enjoy!
Earth is scientifically and measurably flat. Common sense will tell you 8 inches per mile square does not exist. But common sense is not that common these days.

Rugby 🏉 …. Is international diplomacy… at it’s finest … and the Fijian flair for the game is incredible…
In 2003 , my wife and I got engaged in Fiji. We visited for 3 weeks. Born on an island in the Atlantic Ocean in Senegal & grew up in Fishing Village called Gunjur in Gambia, I loved the the sea but never saw under the Ocean until I went to Fiji. Fiji is a beautiful place & a positive timeline in my life’s story.
Thank you Eliman Gibba for the positive comment
That's beautiful. Thanks for sharing!

I love this man's story. I'm from Samoa, and, we respect nature. My mother declared a Marine Reserve in our village Alega in American Samoa in the 1980s now our reef is teeming with life.
The leader of that first village is full of life, it looks like paradise

If God invented Rugby, he invented it for the Fijians... Epic!... I love the way the clan spirit of their ancestors has helped the people of Fiji to carve a niche for them in the world... Great documentary, FD.

My country Fiji 🌴 🇫🇯 🌴
Lucky you!
Bula! I ❤ Fiji.
I have visited only once.
But want to return.
Sadly the Fijian government and Fiji Airways want to enforce the jabs masks and restrictions on travel so I will not submit to mandates and forced medical procedures against my will.
Maybe one day Fiji will let me return and live there forever.

Are you 90's kid ?🤣🤣
This documentary left me in awe! With how much love Fijian for their country, culture and people. I when the rugby coach said that the motivation of playing is happiness and that winning will go follow. The young lady surfer was also a great that she never forget her roots. And that after a long day of surfing they just fish by the sea and have bonfire and grilled fish thereafter. Manasa also was a great leader keeping his people live together in harmony with nature. This is what we need our young generation to watch. We need more of these documentaries.
Absolutely👌
Phenomenal documentary. So refreshing and authentic ! I feel transported ..
I loved this so much. Playing American football and transitioning to rugby was the best decision I've ever made. It's literally a sport anyone can play.
When man challenges himself with natural sports he's fulfilling his worth. Rugby is the real island sport about aggressive peace each one has inside themselves. Like surfing it can be hard at times but so rewarding spending the time on that energy. Yes help someone stand let them see the reason to stand and they will want to the rest of their lives
Isaa my Island home my paradise ♥️Thankyou for bringing home closer in watching this beautiful documentary.Fiji the way the world should be 🇫🇯🇫🇯🇫🇯♥️
Fiji Islands are beautiful! Love the traditions, the togetherness, the team work and faith. Thank you for sharing! 🌸
Here in Fiji, our way of living is communal as part of our culture, everyone is our family.
“The more you share the more you get” I want Fiji people to know we believe the same thing here in America and my family and friends we share a lot I personally help a lot for nothing more than I like to do it! That’s the best way to live nice work down there on the island your good people
What Americans give? Bullets!?
I visited Fiji in 2017. wonderful country

Congrats to the team. Hugs from Mozambique🇲🇿💕
It takes what it takes to see the goodness in humanity. Sometimes a heart attack may open ones eyes. Yet when our lives become tuned to mother nature we realize the native way is the natural way of any land we walk across. The blessings of life is the air water and sharing a good heart
Love the people 🇰🇪
Awesome, really beautiful,,you can see the passion in the small girl for rugby.💕💕💕💕💕
What a fantastic program and Fiji islands and its wonderful people look so nice. I travelled around the world including hawaii and tahiti, and its rare to see this kind of harmony with their place of beautiful island nature and ocean as fijiians have. I love this documentary about Fiji and am glad we have friendly people and a beautiful paradise we can call home.
Of the little that one has, people are still content and find happiness in whatever surrounds them and the people they are surrounded with.
One does not have to be rich to be fulfilled here in Fiji as nature sustains us and we tend to be happy people.
Thank you for this.
Thanks to this documentary it reminded me of my wonderful experience during my first visit to Fiji some years ago. I had the pleasure of staying on Malolo island and subsequently went to visit some other remote islands as well. In one word that is often used to describe the experience: Paradise.
When I was a kid, my family travelled to Fiji from Sydney, Australia. I still have memories of playing hide and seek with the locals at our resort when I was a young boy. God bless Fiji. So beautiful! Bulla! 🏖
I never knew that Fiji is as beautiful just like this. No cars, no building , No pollutants..Very peaceful and simple life yet they have a very interesting culture and traditions. Breathtaking nature, I hope that it will not spoil as years goes by. I admired how the people of Fiji take care of the nature and environment..Im just hoping that all of us should do the same for our future generations👍❤️🙏
Let's sail to the island start a fam 💙. 🏝
Islands shown are the outer islands. the 2 main islands have towns & cities. pollution as well.
Sorry you just dont know Fiji very well. Dont trust what u see.
There are cars in Fiji it's modernised this is the rural side
This is the islands that you're seeing..Not the mainland Vitilevu. We have city and towns too. Cars,Bus,Building and Aeroplanes etc
Very inspiring documentary. I am in awe of what Frank is doing to train the youth of the islands in playing Rugby. He has become the ultimate mentor and friend of the youth there. Thank God for giving you the strength and inspiration to connect with the people of Fiji.

Just to be able to detach yourself from everything especially city life and film, engage with other folks would be very satisfying!
Manasa is now living in California with his wife and family. A very happy gentleman and well liked in his new Fijian community.
How do you know that?
Damn he wasnt kidding when he said the fish knew him very well
Love Fiji from Indonesia ❤️🤍
Is that Indonesian flag in your account name?
man i remember being in my early teens when my dad took me to the beach to see the Uto Ni Yalo (i live in LA) being so young i couldn't even fathom the distance they traveled and the journey they had to embark on to make it to California. im 28 now and just got back from my second trip to Fiji. Im barely diving into the culture after all these years of being distracted by everything in the states. I love being Fijian. Such a beautiful culture.

The footage in this documentary shows the rural/outer islands side of Fiji but in the cities and towns there's alot of unnecessary blaring of vehicles, and buildings all over the place.
Such a great and beautiful documentary.
Fiji the way the world should be.. Beautiful beaches, green forest and jungles, beautiful waterfalls with clear water. Its God beautiful creations.🇫🇯🔥🔥
You should also film the highlands, the outer islands of vanua levu, lau & Kadavu. Breath taking scenes there, amazing stories, conservative and sustainable ways of living still practiced.

It was always my dream to visit Fiji but Indonesia caught my heart and more recently West Papua and Papua.
As a west Papuan we welcome you, however you probably would not find the 'raw' experience like in other Pacific Islands.
In Fiji, you interact with the locals. It's not the case in Papua. The non Papuans are most likely to introduce us to you.
@@mundopizz I visited Papua ..yahukimo, with my native Papuan partner of 5 years. We will return, to his village, by God's grace 🙏 PS. We met under a tree, at University...the Divine' introduced us 😊
