- A day in my life as a university student in Tampere, Finland. In this video you'll see a bit of everything: university canteen, lunch meal, gym, student apartment.
Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoy the video.
Thank you for your nice video. Please keep it up.
Thank you a lot!
Hi, thank you for this amazing video
Can you give us info about student accommodation please (reservation, fees, location...)
Great Video!
Thanks a lot
So nice 👏👏, best of luck 😇
Thank you! You too!
Thanks! I am also preparing to go to Tampere university next year for an exchange. May I ask what dormitory do you live? I am really worrying about what dormitory to pick!!
I used to live in Hervanta. It’s near Hervanta campus but 15m by bus to city center campus. It’s nice to live in Hervanta.
Thuý thích video này của D quá, thhích nghe D nói tiếng anh nữa
Cảm ơn Thuý nhiều lắm 🥰
Mình từng đi chợ cá ở Tampere và thăm con ngựa màu trắng ở chỗ nào đó ko nhớ ^^ giờ muốn quay lại Phần Lan quá mà không biết khi nào mới có thể hix
Hihi Uh nè, vui hen
Nxt year i will be there..hope i will see u in Tampare..
That’s great! 👍
Is it mandatory to learn Finnish . Can u make a video on master cybersecurity in Finland ( also add programs related to this topic from ur uni )
In my program it’s mandatory to take 1 finnish course, the rest is optional.
Nice video, can you tell me do i have prepare my own dinner and breakfast everyday, if i am a phd student in TAMK?
Meals are available in the uni canteen all weekdays
I’m planning on doing a masters in Tampere university, I’m very limited in my budget, is it a good idea or posible to work full time and study a masters? What are your thoughts?
I used to work part time while I was studying masters there at Tampere Uni. It was enough for my living expenses since i got 100% scholarship that covers tuition fees. From my experience, I dont think you can work full time and study at the same time. But part time yes.
where can we find part time work?
Thanks for sharing in English
Hi, Thank you for sharing your video. May I ask where is the Finnish language learning center? Is it in the university? How much time per week is in their courses?
It’s finnish course organized by uni. They are all free. The elementary course 1 is mandatory, others are optional. In Finland they calculate 1 credit = 27 hours of study. The elementary course 1 is 2 credits. If I recall correctly, it was 2 times a week and from 12.15-13.45 so about 1.5h a lesson.
@@DuyenPhanLan Many thanks for your detailed information, Dear Finholic. They are helpful. If you don't mind, may I ask more questions? How long is needed to finish the courses from A1 to B2 following their schedule? three years or five years?

@@sunnycai8761 a1-b2 level courses are organized from first period of semester 1. So it’s only 2-2,5years and it’s possible to complete them all. But I would say it’s quite difficult in terms of arranging the Finnish course schedule and other mandatory courses of your degree program. Another thing is that courses at uni teach mainly you all grammar points but not so much on listening or speaking skills.
@@DuyenPhanLan I see. Many thanks for your reply.
How many classes do you have in a week? And how long each class last?
It depends on courses but usually I have 1-2 lectures for each course and 1 lecture lasts around 2-4 hours.
Beautiful
Thanks 😊
You are a student here? good luck 👍🏻🌨❄
Yeah thank you very much!
hello I got an admission for Tampere and I am an international student so does Tampere cover both the tuition fees and the living expenses and if not how can I cover my living expenses
Hey! The scholarship might change every year so I am not sure what the scholarship options are available now, I’d suggest you to visit the Tampere university website to learn more exactly. For covering living expenses, as international students, we are allowed to work up to 25 hours/ week so we can work part time along side your studies. But hey, you can always email the admission office / international affairs office to ask. Contact info are available o the website. They are very helpful and fast to respond. Best of luck.
@@DuyenPhanLan thankyou so much and it means i have to work for my living expenses?
@@hananessa758 yes just in case you are granted any kinds of scholarships and you don’t have to enough finance to live and study.
@@DuyenPhanLan thankyou so much
@@hananessa758 anytime! 👍

Do you think getting admission easily for foreign students ? 🙂
Yes I do think so!
Hi, can i ask what major do you take? :)
I was studying masters degree in teacher education
Chị ở tempere a
Chị ở Tampere từ 2017-2020, giờ chị ở Vantaa em ah
I miss going to Finnish classes!
Me too! It was such a nice and fun experience with Heikki.
U found a part time job by English only? And is it easy to find full-time job by english only
Full time job that only requires English depends on the field. IT field is the easiest to find jobs in Finland for internationals. But also cleaning, restaurant workers are very easy to get full time only by English.
@@DuyenPhanLan if I want to stay in the country after the post study visa, can a casual job contract help
@@DuyenPhanLan please if you have info about my second question I will be so thankful
@@mhmdahmed2149 all count. It doesn’t matter as long as you’ve got enough income as required to maintain your stay.
What scholarship you got to study there?
100% scholarship that covers tuition fee.
Which student housing/apartments do you recommend that isn’t too far from University of Tampere?
You can check using the address and google maps. As long as it has good bus routes and time travel is less than 30m bus drive than it’s good, ideally 15m bus drive to campus from apartment. University of Tampere has 2 campuses. One in Hervanta and the other is in city center so you really need to consider which one is your main one.
@@DuyenPhanLan Ahhh, Alright thank you
@@epsilon3759 thank you for asking!
@@DuyenPhanLan No problem (:
