Getting the decals straight and bubble free....dry method. Why use "Name brand" decals? The decals in this video were from "Graphicshack".... www.graphicshack.co.uk/
Great Video. I'm getting ready to apply my Zipp decals. However, I would like to say, that in my experience in applying decals to things, it is best to rub it down with a credit card before removing the clear plastic. The hard edge of the card ensures the best adhesion. Thanks for the video.
Too many stickers for me. I'm not quite the go full stealth mode, but one or two rather 5 or 6 stickers for me. But I like your tip of using sellotape and sticking one side down at a time.
The brand name companies dont complain about the stickers because it would be contradictory to the manufacturing, but they dont want you to know that. I bought a set Yishun 80mm carbon wheels back in 2010 and they are still going strong. I only needed to replace the rear hub but after 10 years and tens of thousands of km's which is a pittance to pay for the longevity of these wheels.
+Tim Reynolds Hi Tim. I will certainly add your suggestion to the list. Inflating tyres on carbon wheels insn't much different to alloy, except for using a valve extender if required. Also I covered a few points about this in a previous video. cheers
Do your riding buddies give you a hard time because of Easton stickers on YoLeo wheels? good video... i would never have thought of using the tape to hold sticker in place. glad I watched this
3700km at moment Roy and theyre running just fine. Hit a decent ditch the other day, thought rear wheel would crack or something but all checked out fine :)
Ha ha - the YT algorithm just sent me this as I finished commenting on a GCN video on how to REMOVE decals as I have just taken mine off!!! One man’s meat is another man’s poison. 🤣
@@stevenleffanue another question if you don't mind, how do you measure the size of the sticker? What if its a 42mm rim height and a rim brake wheelset? What's going to be thw height of the sticker?
Do you get a discount with Yoeleo? I've ordered a set after seeing your videos but nearly 2 months after ordering and they are still not here, all I get from them is excuses. The latest excuse is that the shipping company have lost them and they will send another set next week.
+Craig Wellburn Personally I get no discounts...I pay what you pay Craig. Well thats highly unusual that your wheels have gone missing...did Yeoleo provide a tracking number for them?
oz cycle They did supply a tracking number that did not provide any results on the tracking website. When I informed Yoeleo they said the shipping company must have lost the wheels. They say they will send me another set next week, but like I say its already been nearly 2 months. Not the best service after having waited so long already.
I've got some really expensive MCFK carbon rims on equally expensive Tune hubs. I was thinking of putting some new custom stickers on them saying 'cheap chinese shit'. Do think they'd mind?
A really great how-to video, but a rather miserable excuse in my opinion. Going by the same logic, manufacturers must be just as happy to have companies produce counterfeits of their product, after all, there's lots of companies producing counterfeit products and not just their stickers! The reality is most manufacturers I know who have had their name ripped off are not at all happy about it, but as the ripoffs typically come from foreign countries, they're largely powerless to do anything about it. I'm all for cheaper products, and have finally decided to buy some Chinese wheels myself. However passing them off as another manufacturer's is not cool in my book. Other's milage may well be different, and that's up to their own conscience I guess.
Relax. If the guy were selling these wheels as Easton you unsuspecting buyers, then we have a problem. But he isn't selling them at all and you know this guy would readily admit to any fellow bikers who inquire that they're deliberately mis-labeled Chinese no-names. No harm, no foul. It's like affixing a BMW M3 emblem on a 325i (or even a Honda Civic). No one is fooled. It's all good.

Great job. They look great!
Well done, didn’t know it would be that easy, and plus I like them too, as long as it looks good? I say go for it ❤️
Very nice! I like using the tape to hold it in place and stick the first part then do the rest. Great idea!
Thanks for the update .I'm looking to order some soon ready for the summer here in the uk
If you choose to buy "Yoeleo",mention me and you will get a better deal. Cheers Roy.
Look really professional!
That is a beautiful bike you have.
would you recommend Chinese carbon frames
Hi nico. I havnt had any experience with Chinese road frames yet. Hope to do so in the future. However i read that "Dengfu" are reliable.

Thank you for that video 👍🏻
Hey mate. Have you put decals on a dimpled wheel set at all? Just wondering it they stick as well.
There’s a Zipp video where they show applying decals on their own dimpled wheel.
Where did you get your Chinese OEM wheels? I'm looking for a Disc and 808 Front

Gorgeous! Are you familiar with cadex wheels? Are the decals on those wheels sticker if not how do you remove them?
Sorry I'm not familiar with Cadex wheels. The decals will peel off but are good quality from a UK printer

It's kind of hard to tell. Are these matte or gloss finish? Have you had any issues with them sticking?
+Sam Rankin Rims are matt. Matt rims still have a resin coat, just not glossy. Never had trouble with stickers pealing on the rims.

If you live in Australia Dave,it will be on the market soon. I try different bikes every 5,000kms.
This bike looks too good and clean. I would not ride it in fear of getting it scratched.
how can you scratch a bike?
@@tazz1226 By crashing lol
Can i wipe it with Hand Sanitiser?
Only if it does not contain any chemicals which leave a residue.
@@stevenleffanue yeah i mean if it safe on human skin would it be the same on carbon as well?
A residue will interfere with adhesion of a decal.

Good video and good process - - but personally I would never put one manufacturer's decals on wheels made by another manufacturer.

I think they'd look better without. They look a bit dated and flashy now

What stupid logic thinking your advertising for Easton with those fake rims.
What's so embarrassing about Yoeleo? Their wheels are UCI legal.
