A video of a Toyota GT-ONE Race Car going through the wall and using the Escudo glitch, accelerating to 2147483647 mph, which is slightly over 3 times the speed of light!
At 2147483647 mph, for 5 years... Not only it has travelled 94.7 trillion miles, or 16 light years, but it also travels backwards in time. Technically, the car is flying BEFORE it comes out of the factory.
"you can fly with that speed" uh, yeah... and then some. that's 3 times the speed of light. not only is that theoretically impossible, but the car would turn into pure energy!
I've done that before. The speed of light it 186,000 miles per second. that translates to 669,600,000 miles per hour. He went 2,147,483,647 miles per hour. that is approxmately 3.2071141681600955794504181600956 times faster than the speed of light. And also at 2 billion miles per hour, the speedometer produces more digits than the game can handle, which it why it freezes.
This does work! You just need to have the gear ratios all the way to the right and hit that corner at just the right angle. Took like 10 times for me but I did it. ESCUDO POWER!
0.o that was insane. At first i was like, there's no way he's gonna get up to 2147483647 mph, he only has 7 seconds lofet and he's barly reached the thousa- WOAH.
For best results, maximize turbo kits, set tran to lv.48, Front dwnforce lowest, rear highest. ASM and TCS lv.0. All suspension lowest, excluding camber and angle.

It is therefore the maximum value for variables declared as int in many programming languages running on popular CPUs, and the maximum possible score (or amount of money) for many video games. The appearance of the number often reflects an error, overflow condition, or missing value.[8] Similarly, "

Hey I know this vid is a bit old but so just wondering if you're still around here cos I just wanted to ask for permission to use your video for a fail compilation I'm currently working on. You'll get full credits of course! kind regards :)
Technically if you went faster than the speed of light you would travel into the past but that is relativistically forbidden. From this you can see that GT3 uses a 31 bit binary integer to represent the speed of the car. 2^31 happens to be 2147483648 which is 1 more than 2147483647 because 0 is assigned as the first integer. So 2147483647 was the last number you see as the speed of the car before it overflowed.
with the Escudo Pikes Peak rally car, if you optmize your gear ratios and what not (under settings before starting a race) you can make it start to pull a wheelie at about 230mph and accelerate over 1000mph. Google search "gran turismo 3 wheelie"...youll find it
correction on my comment. I mean ps2 is a 32 bit application but with 32 width integer the maximum number u can make is 32 ones which corresponds to that speed of the car before it overflows and that corresponds to the value of 2^32 - 1.
It isn't a cheat, anybody can make it with precise tuning and good practice. In Seattle Reverse, if you hit the wall at sufficient speed and very close to the side wall, you can "break" it. With the tuning, the car can go on its 2 rear wheels and go faster. After 500 mph even brakes can stop it. The car continues to go faster and faster, and the game crashes when 2147483647 mph are reached, which corresponds at 2^32-1. It work on all version and many race cars, however it works best with GT-One.
You must mean the GT-ONE. It's because of low downforce front, high downforce at the rear. For high powered (usually turbocharged) light cars like the GT-ONE and Suzuki Escudo, this bug will cause it to tilt and go obscenely fast.
those would be your tire heat , as you probably noticed that when there like an orange/red you start spinning out when they turn that color go to the pits
hi there tumbenhaur! i want to video some of my gt3 clips but the only way i know is by filming it with my camera but its on low quality. how do u get it to this quality? is there a way to transfer it from the ps2 to the pc?
Damn. I never knew that there was a glitch there. But, isnt there this thing that if you use game shark in GT3 for simulation mode, a computer car will crash into walls, fly into the air and reach that speed too? There is also a glitch in GT2 where there is this special course called motorland, you can drive off the course forever, but i dont think you can reach speeds like that. I own all the Gran Turismos and they're all fun! I wanna get the new Gran Turismo.
@coolgames14 I don't see where you're coming from. The speed of light is about 671 million mph, which is about a million times faster than a commercial airline.

Based on the speed of light being 286,000 mps, then 2,147,483,647 mph = 2.0857 times the speed of light which is 1,029,600,000 mph.
well its safe to say the reason we cant see the background is because he was going well beyond the speed of light.
Accelerating a car that size to those speeds would require so much energy that it would immediately create a blackhole
Most early-release games are buggy as hell, While some just suck. GT3 A-spec had the auspicious honor of being both at once.
Technically if you went faster than the speed of light you would travel into the past but that is relativistically forbidden.
