HARDEST GRAVEL EVENT SO FAR? Le Fabuleux in the Belgian Ardennes

- Bikepacking is great. Gravel riding is great. Events by Smuggler's Path and Gravel13 are great. It was all great. But man, I suffered nonetheless!
Saturday was a brutal day with rain, mud and a lot of climbing. And I lost my favourite sunglasses in a fall. Sunday was super nice, the sun came out and the gravel roads were a lot more forgiving.
The event organisers spoiled us with a great athmosphere, great food and routes. Plus they carried all our bags, so I didn't have to carry everything on my bike.

Loving the videos Marten (even if I am from the UK!!! LOL). Feeling your pain on the lost Oakley's - I did exactly the same on a skiing trip to Tignes. Somewhere, someone is probably still wearing my shades......damn them!!! Keep up the good work sir - looks like these long events are standing you in good stead for the 'A' race.

What about your experience with the tent. Still happy with it?Unfortunately I just could test it for a night in our garden. The planned one in Spain had to be cancelled because I was off sick for a couple of weeks. 😢 But summer is just coming.
In my opinion the tent is already very narrow. 😂 Maybe a 2 Person tent would be better. Especially in the rain. Do you have a groundshield? I still need one.

If a bit of bad weather or a hard bike ride is the thing in your life that makes you stop laughing, you haven't had a hard life 😅 Always enjoy, even if it sucks 😂 Peter is all good, he just has had less time to ride this year, he's super busy at work and with his family. It happens. Have you had any nice bike adventures this year?

😅😂😂I was still okay-ish at the feed station, but there was this long climb where I just did not seem to be going forward and I just had to get off the bike and take an extra break. But I'm pretty sure I will be back next year 🥳

… I lost my back light on Saturday night and was anally retentive enough to go back to look for it - luckily enough it was 100 meters away and sending disco lights into the next tent! 😂
