Hi Mark, it is indeed. It was recommended by a friend from an Alpine Climbing facebook group, as the lightest and most efficient way to use for these purposes, and indeed, I must agree. The jumars I've used on my other video are way too heavy to haul on a long trip. No, I've never been involved in a rescue, knock in a wood, just trying to learn as much as I can. Cheers
