- In this demo I shot 35 grains of 3f Schuetzen BP, 5 -10 grains of cream of wheat filler to help seat the ball, 44 cal lubed wad and 457 home cast round balls. I got so short I forgot to add this info!

This is a fantastic idea! If anyone is looking for specific information they can it quickly get it. There are so many facets to cap & ball shooting that need to be understood, this approach will be a great asset. However, boy do you have your work cut out for you, but this will be a great long term project that will help garner interest in cap & ball shooting.

had my walker replica kit for a long time and enjoy it, weighs 4.5 pounds and 50 grains of 3f does not pop the lever down, a great way to spend time!
Yeah, it looks like a monster! I can’t be certain but it looks like it would dwarf my 1851 Colt Navy! Must be its big brother! 😂
It’s certainly the forerunner of all colts that came after 1847!

I keep telling myself that I should get some vinegar and remove the bluing from the cylinder on mine. Yours looks really good that way.
Thanks! I like it. It took about 15 minutes in the vinegar! The full length walker vid will be out this weekend. Get a better look at it.
I've watched other videos and the loading arm falls on them too. Is there any fixes or original pistols have same problem. Good videos, just found your channel.
So some have filed the notch on the latch to make it deeper. The period correct fix, I’ve read, is a small leather or rawhide strap. I have that…I left it in the house that day. When I do the longer video I’ll show and discuss it!! Thanks for finding me. Hope you stick around!!!

As I'm new ya know 😏 is the walker a larger gun? I read in comments it takes same size round ball..is it more powder..or just a difference in design?
It’s about twice the weight of 51 navy or 60 army. Bigger cylinder holds 50 grains and a 9 inch barrel. It’s the biggest of the cap and ball revolvers. Weighs about 5 lbs loaded and its end heavy. It’s a challenge to hold especially 1 handed. Great question. Any time! Thanks
