- In today's episode i will show you how to add in an Ajax Alarm System a Wired Outdoor Siren.
For this project i will use :
1) a Wired Outdoor Siren
2) Ajax Relay
3) 12 Volts DC Power Supply

Best solution will be with two relays in series. One using pulse and the other bistable mode. Pulse relay is activated on alarm and bistable on arm/disarm. One can deactivate a sounding external siren using bistable relay on/off switch.
Venitem ;) Nice work there you should use a mini 12v dc ups for the siren and relay for not going offline or triggering the siren.
You're right! Thank you for your comment!
Hello thanks for this video. Is it also possible to have the siren beep or make noise on set delay on DoorProtect? Would love to see more Ajax related content. Regards
How would the connection look like if you have two wires one 12v and one ground from the siren?
Hi, with jamming/interference/low signal , the siren will sound??
Good idea but we have a problem
if power supply has gone (110v or 220v) The device won't work.
So I advise you to put the device inside the bell and take the power directly from battery
You are right about that but i believe that it is not a good idea to put Ajax Relay inside the Siren because you will have problem with it's signal and maybe with humidity since Relay is for indoor use. Maybe it will be better to plug the DC power supply of Relay into a small UPS.
Put the relay in the siren and powere it by the 12v battery. Less cables and "unlimited" backup power.
That's a nice idea! I will try it!
Με το ρελαδακι μπορουμε να το ορισουμε βαζοντας στο pulse να χτυπαει για Χ χρονο. Τι γινεται ομως οταν θελουμε να σταματαει η σειρηνα και με αφοπλιση;
the triger should be normally close? so if any tamper it trigers the alarm?
No tamper protection with this setup
Hi. The tamper with open siren and tear form the wall? Thanks...
You can connect siren tamper in a Door Protect sensor!
But if you open door protect when alarme is desarmed that will trigger the alarme too, no?
Fox exemple if i put the ILS in the door and my alarme is off, by opening the door the siren goes on
For the alarm to be triggered you have first to arm. So if the system is armed and you open the door then the Siren will be activated.
@@PoseidwnTech If the system is off and you open the door, will that triger the siren?
No it will not! The scenario is only "By Alarm".
@@PoseidwnTech Thanks man, i will try it
Μήπως γνωρίζεις γιατί γίνεται αυτό και πως μπορώ να το σταματήσω να μη γίνεται;
Very nice! But tell me something:when alarm starts when is nobody home, who"s gona stop the siren????? Try the scenario with pulse, not bistable
Ajax Alarm has cloud access through Ajax App, so you can disarm the alarm and mute the siren through the Ajax App!
Strange I tried it with Pyronix bell did not work
I am not familiar with this Siren. Can you please send a link for the manual of the Siren to take a look?
@@PoseidwnTech i think i have done it i did same as you but used the enginner hold and disable the tamper
@@GUNITITSecurity hello, would you be able to share the wiring for the Pyronix Bell setup please? I’ve just got two and wondering best way to wire in.
connected my siren to the relay there is a low voltage error in the app, can you help me?
What Power Supply did you use? Relay requires 7 to 24 Volts DC. Normally an Alarm Siren requires 12 Volts DC but you have to check your Sirens specs about the maximum load current in order to select the correct Power Supply. I believe in most of the cases a 12Volts DC - 5 Amp should be enough.
I thought the outside siren is the circle one..
