The 2014 C220d saloon is a blessing. Amazing car. You really do not need airmatic (also very unreliable). I had mine for 2 years and never had anything break

Stay away from the C350e! Nothing but trouble. Starter motor burnt out- just had to replace the compressor for the air suspension. This is on a car that is under 4 years old and less than 50,000 miles.

Rob S currently getting around 50mpg since owning on a combo of motorway and local driving. It’s got a good amount of performance to it as well as the economic advantage as well. Like any car you take a risk of what might go wrong so as long as you are buying it with warranty I would say not to worry. If you are mainly going to be doing local driving that is where you get the most out of it due to the real world electric range of around 12 miles if you are not working the electric to much e.g. air con full blast etc. Also avoid pan roof and 18” alloys as it causes a drop in both mpg and performance of the car

@Rob S I've had the c350e for 4 years now. The compressor for the air suspension broke back in April to the tune of £800. The electric range is running at around 6 mile with some hills but its woeful really. I've got an engine fault light that switches on every couple of thousand miles but no one knows why. It should have the best of both worlds but as a hybrid it's really very weak. There's no boot space whatsoever so it fails on that front. Its had at least 2 recalls. Very disappointing for the money. They've got a lot to do to improve their position in the marketplace.

STILL can’t find anything regarding real time economy on the 2016 standard model c class automatic.

Stay away from the Airmatic. Not as great as one expects and not very reliable in the long term...ver very expensive to replace ca. 1.600 EUR per wheel!!!!

      i got one
it's super reliable (as long as the previous owner has changed oil, etc. often enough)
the car is also surprisingly fast and stable
watch out for the transmission if you are buying an automatic. Sometimes people put those cars on sale with transmission problems and they are pretty expensive to fix
it is cheap to maintain (the same as a VW golf from those years)
only thing it lacks is Bluetooth but u can add one yourself

Stay away from the 2015 C300. Engine bad and you need a whole new engine. You can't rebuild it. Look on the net before you buy and see. Thousands have blown an engine and Mercedes is doing doing about it. YET. Wait there will be a class action law suit. Mercedes has a bad name now. Look at 2005 to 2007 also
