I bought a brand new Saphire Cosworth 4X4 in white with leather in 1991, for £19995! Keep it 10 years and sold it for £6500 with 31000 on it and fsh. Thought I was doing ok lol, guess no one knows what or where these prices are going? Great video😊

Nice car but it’s just an old Sierra people! Come on £265k! Worlds gone absolutely mad. It’s even got a flat battery FFS, but will stick 12 months MOT on it before it goes, yea, thanks for that.
Exactly, they are not even that good. Get smoked by any little off the shelf hot hatch these days. And for the money you can buy a 911 GT3RS and STILL have enough for an M3 Daily, both of which will humiliate this thing on the road or round a track.

@@davechapman5815 Not many would do that as you take a massive risk for even now very little return. 88~24 37 years of ownership, care and maybe some sort of insurance? I doubt it was deliberate.
The original Cosworth was a track refugee and not really a daily like the later Saph. I imagine the majority would be in collections now with low mileages, if the car had been more expensive originally.

I do hope never as mine was a tremendous investment but I prefer driving it and using it rather than look at it as an investment commodity. 17yrs of ownership and I’m still in love with it and it might sound a bit weird but I love the smell from the interior ❤❤

I used to sell them, they bolt together. They start as say the roll cab and bench then the lockers etc can be added on and built up. Those type of boxes are sold off a dedicated extra large truck that visits once a Yr. You can but them off a standard truck but they are too big to go on them. That set up will hane cost alot of cash and was usually bought by garage owners not private mechanics as it could then be offset against the business so vat could be claimed back and it came off the tax.
I don't care what people say about the value of cars because as much as you would like to argue the point, they are worth what people will pay for them. When it comes down to scarcity if you want the car you pay a premium for it. I have to go now or I'll miss the bus!

The price will start dropping off as it does with any old car once all the 90s generation move on no one will want a sierra. My kids wouldn’t pay a grand for one so sell em quick while us 40/50 year olds are still around.
Don’t forget guys you can 3d print most car parts even for cossies that will look identical inc labelling,personally I think price of the car is just too high. However like anything in life its worth as much as someone else is willing to pay for it..👍

Like some have said £50k then sure i'd buy it myself, but how many other people would also buy it at that level... thousands of people! Then you'd have a bidding war and the ensuing silly sale price dictated by the richest few percent. Not hard logic to understand, when you realise eveybody and the dog would give £50k yet there's only one original 13k miles Cosworth available. Maybe some think the seller should say right it reached it's £50k reserve now lets stop bidding and draw straws to see who gets it...😂

It’s nice and all but I just see a 20k max Sierra. You’ve got to really want one for that money. Suppose it’s a sellers market but it’s hardly a working man’s super car anymore. Can actually buy a super car for that money.
