Absolutely ridiculous to have a teenager changing their gender and taking hormones that will affect their fertility and possibly cause cancer and other problems. These kids need counseling and not surgery! Sad. 😢😢

The information in this video is wrong. The self determination act only allows you to change the gender marker and the name. There are no changes to the medical procedure. For medical treatment you still need to visit a psychiatrist/psychologist, get therapy and after some time you might get hormones and after a longer perion also a srs.
The video says exactly what you are saying.

@@utemiller5416 The video clearly states that the act also eliminates the need to submit medical reports to support the change of sex. (0:23-0:28) This statement is clearly wrong. You may only change the gender and the name without any medical reports. To change your sex and to get a HRT, or any other treatment, like the SRS you still need to get those reports and also you need to be in a longer therapy. Even after that you still need to prove that you need the surgeries.
Opponents of the act often use this wrong statement to argument against this act. This is why i like to correct this.

There is evidence. Millions of us have done this. You'd want to ban the Covid vaccine too because there's not a 100 year study.
That statement wrong. The german law will only allow to change the name and the gender marker. It will not allow to get any medical treatment without a medical examination and without proper diagnosis. you need to get a therapy before hormones and you need to get even much more therapy before getting any surgery.
