Jalen Brunson is the total package. His presence with the Knicks and absence with Mavericks just show his true value. Brunson is a leader who can guide his team to absolute greatness.

Ever since he was in college, you could tell he was different. He has a calm, assassin level mindset. He plays both ends. He never gets rattled, and he gets better every year. I wish more NBA players were like Brunson.

Jalen Brunson is a very talented player. He was a diamond in the coal mine that the Mavs let go for nothing. It's crazy that with that much potential when he was exploding in the playoffs, they didn't fight to retain him. He's a solid stud.
Brunson has grown on me a lot. Didn’t realize how good he was until he got away from Luka

There have only been about a dozen NBA players from New Hampshire and Maine combined (not talking prep schools) and zero from Vermont. None have been all-stars. Even across the NHL, NFL, and MLB, there are VERY few from those three states. So seeing someone like Cooper Flagg come out of a small town in Northern New England as a consensus #1 pick is really special to those of us who are sports fans in that part of the country!

Yeah that was an interesting point. I think no Ant would affect the POA defense. Ant had a quiet game vs Spain because his job was to guard and then wait in the corner, so he wasn't involved in the offense much. Mikal and Ant are the only ones who can guard the best player on the perimeter and you need both imo. No Brunson would affect IQ but Haliburton is a great playmaker who can also set people up and we have other efficient scorers. I think the defenders: JJJ, Ant and Mikal are the rarer breed on the team.
Sasha Vezenkov on the Kings will give these guys a run for their money for ROTY

Automatically using ethnicity as the first basis of comparison is dumb. Lukas game is more like Hardens than Birds. There are much more Black NBA players (many of them unathletic) than white players. That means a young white prospect will likely have a more similar game to a current black player than a current white player based on averages.

His number were lower than they should of been because of the season being a power struggle with Randle. Next season, going in as The Guy instead of a "sidekick for Randle", his stats are going to be top 5 and the knicks are going to be atleast top 3 in the east, if not the #1 spot.
Like Brunson, but I hold my judgment on his defense. Opposing teams have not done much switching if any to take advantage of his height. His teamates would need to help him which opens up a player. Generally, when the ball is on your hands the most, you can do creative things to get your shot off and you have more opportunity to shoot more. That does not make him better than the next guy that had less opportunity. One ball, one rim.
