So nice to see Christine so relaxed and laughing, especially with Menges. The outtakes of this, or the full version, must have been great too. Lindsey Horan better have watched this interview as Sinc says "Love you Linds." During the Challenge Cup 2020, Lindsey did an interview for Twitch where she talked about Sinc and how she is trying to get Sinc to say I love you back. We have come full circle and it was worth it. Thank you all for putting on this interview in video so we can see reactions, my favourite part of interviews. Congratulations to Team Canada and particularly to Christine Sinclair, our Fantastic Captain Canada.
Been a HUGE die-hard fan of Christine and team Canada since the early days in Edmonton U20s, and forced my children's and youth choirs to get up and cheer Team Canada on in the Tokyo Gold Medal match (most of the kids were already going to watch). I have watched and rewatched every match, with different commentary from every network I can find. BUT....My favourite Christine Sinclair moment didn't involve Sinclair. It was watching the Thorns stressing during the shoot out. (love the coffee cup moment for sure). There was this amazingly charismatic woman, on the left table, with her hand on her forehead, cheering you on and stressing like nobody's business. Christine, you have a great friend in Emily, and the Thorns are now my favourite team! Bravo Christine!!!!!! You deserve this and so much more!

This is so funny and another great way to learn about the team. Between Ann, Edie, and Emily the interviews all provide a unique perspective. I would love for this to be a reoccurring segment and see Emily Menges ask questions from a basket to the rest of the team. (Please)

I would think any Canadian soccer champion could strap on a pair of cross-country skis and turn in a respectable performance at whatever distance matches 90 minutes. Well, I might put the goalkeepers on the basketball squad. Rugby is a n-o-o-o-o.
I would have asked about the Canadian team's reaction to Jessie Fleming wanting to win gold so badly that she decided to dive headfirst to get her entire body in front of a Swedish player's attempted cross. In all my time watching soccer, I have *never* seen anyone do that. I thought, _damn, I respect the dedication, but also _*_that's your head, girl!_*_ don't put your brain in front of a cross!_
Also, does anyone know if Sinc/Menges is like a co-captain situation or more of a captain/vice-captain deal?

Fun fact: Menges joined in the league's second year, 2014, when the Thorns drafted her. But yes, close enough to "the start" in my opinion.
Unfun fact: Every expansion draft since then, I worry that another team will _snatch_ her away from us.
